For the silver rounds, I would recommend having at least an acid test video done if possible if not a fire assay done.
We are planning on having a basic acid test performed tomorrow. After speaking with our mint, we are trying to figure out how we can conduct a Specific Gravity test as well. This type of testing is much more precise than just an acid test. And to ease the minds of our customers, our minted products are produced by an ISO-9001 registered facility, and all of their products are IRA approved. Tests to verify our product will be coming shortly.. |

Copper is very cheap, the coins would have to be huge in order to have any value compared to the cost of making them.
Have you thought about titanium or tin? (Not sure how workable these are for coin form) but they are worth about 2.5 to 3 times as much, making a smaller denomination coin easier.
Y'know, we hadn't, but that is an excellent suggestion! We'll certainly be keeping it in mind.. |

1 Round = Spot Price + 20%
5 Rounds = Spot Price + 18% per round
20 Rounds = Spot Price + 15% per round
100 Rounds = Spot Price + 9% per round
The price is a little steep, but not too bad since nobody else has anything similar for cheaper. Hopefully the prices will come down as you grow the business. They do look decent, so I'm tempted. Is the 99.9% certified? How are they individually packaged? What forms of payment do you take? The 99.9% has been certified by the mint we use, however later today I will be posting pictures/video of myself taking our Silver Bitcoins to a local coin shop to be purity-tested! We'll see if they hold up..I will post our results here. Orders that are under 20 oz will be shipped with soft plastic coin sleeves for each individual coin (not the hard, circular cases), protective padding so the silver doesn't get dented/scratched en route, as well as a receipt for your purchase. 20oz and over will be shipped in hard plastic tubes, and plastic sleeves can be included upon request. For now, we can only accept Bitcoin. Once our website is up and running, we may consider accepting Paypal as well, though I'm not sure how we will cope with the problem of charge-backs...we will have to experiment with it. Eventually we would like to be able to bring down our prices, and we anticipate bringing on a Copper Bitcoin, which of course will be much cheaper than either the Gold or Silver Bitcoins. Do you think that the premium over the spot price will come down as production picks up?
That is certainly our hope! As my father told me, it's easier to be able to have the choice of bringing the price down rather than being forced to push it up! We also hope to introduce copper rounds as a cheaper alternative to either gold or silver. |

Indeed, we did name our company and began minting before the MyBitcoin.com fiasco occurred. Good thing that we're here to bring an honest and trusted name to My Bitcoin Mint, otherwise we'd be in trouble  I am confident people will find our services, our product, and our commitment to the Bitcoin Community to be top-notch. From a traders perspective, however:
Can we get some info as to where these are minted and maybe a certificate or something?
As such: Love the idea. Maybe think of making different editions to collect etc etc?
In the spirit of holding on to My Bitcoin Mint's business model, we cannot divulge where are products are minted. However, we do plan on undergoing purity tests to demonstrate to the community that our products are what we claim they are, which is pure precious metal bullion at specified weights. We also will be including documents verifying our products with each order purchased. We are not sure if we plan on doing variations of our coins, but we do intend on having different metals available. Our Gold Bitcoin will be released shortly, and we hope to bring on other metals in the near future as well  I love your writing style and your injection of humor.
