61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NINJA][LEA] LeaCoin - SHA-256/PoW on: March 30, 2015, 05:59:02 PM
We wish you all the best and a big hug to the little Lea.

Thanks, my friend, Lea says "Hi!" and waves. Smiley
She seems to like the coin logo, that much I can tell. Smiley

Nice Job Bro, I know this is your first attempt at coin creation and dedicating it to your daughter is admirable. Thanks for all your help on the HAM project as well, We will help support you... Screw the jerks that just don't get it... We do! I hope it makes Lea smile =) That's all that matters!

This melts my heart, thank you Bro! Smiley

Well you decided to premine 100,000 blocks so unless you're the one propping the price up, its safe to say this coin will, in fact, be worth nothing.
Nothing personal, large premines just aren't playing on the markets these days, and no one is falling for the "it's only .5%" trick when you're talking about .5% of coins that will be mined in 100 years.

It's 10 million LEA - 50.000 blocks.

Honestly, it was just a number for me while I was preparing the wallet for launch. Didn't feel like a lot. It's a number the network would produce in just 35 days.

OK, so the premine seems to bother many experienced people, but it's there. Do you have any suggestions on how to spend it smartly? Smiley

what coin did you clone?

It's based mostly on https://github.com/razorlove-legacy/abccoin .

Can someone tell me the value of a coin that is based on what basis ?
How does the potential for a coin or not to invest ?
Thanks in advance !

I'd be glad to answer, but I'm not an expert so I guess it would be better for you to ask in some more appropriate thread.
One thing I can tell you for sure is that LEA is currently worth.. well.. nothing. Hopefully not for long. Smiley

Don't you think it is too much compared to very very long POW  Huh

Well, I don't think it's too much, it's only half percent.
No worries, though, I'll be generous through the future faucet(s) and other channels.. Smiley

72  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: March 29, 2015, 11:08:51 PM
I think I've solved it! My S5 was connected to a local stratum proxy with #xnsub in the URL. I simply removed it and things got MUCH better instantly. Now the stratum proxy disconnects the S5 on each extranonce/pool change, but the hash rate is as it should be. Smiley

If you're using stratum proxy you should consider using newer stratum proxy with extranonce support, see "Stratum-Proxy guide" here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=asic

It's exactly what I'm using. Smiley
It "talks" extranonce with the stratum server normally, but to solve the hashrate problems I had to remove '#xnsub' in the S5 pool configuration that targets the proxy.

Hello, NiceHashSupport!

It seems to me your sha256 stratum server pushes the difficulty too high. I've made some tests with my S5, and it performs the best with the diff ~ 2048, but your stratum server always pushes it to 4096 and chokes the S5 to below 1 Th/s average. Tests on other pools with the fixed diff 2048 yield much steadier and nicer results, close to 1.2 Th/s.

Am I missing something here, or could you please keep the difficulty at around worker's hashrate in Gh/s * 1.8 - 2?

Thank you! Smiley

This is not a diff problem, but specific S5 problem, that has been reported multiple times. We suggest you to push this matter to Bitmain so they fix their software.

Tested with both the newest official S5 firmware and Smit1237's mod - the results are exactly the same.

Hooray! Smiley

Thank you very much, good to know the roots of the problem. Smiley
