One thing to note is rockxie seems to have initially tested the chips at .72v.  I'm definitely no EE,  but FC did mention that the chips were versatile with several different modes.  The 0.2J/G he mentioned originally was stated to be at .55v,  which probably means a lower clock as well.  Rockxies boards appear to have only one crystal.. i think given this setup he hasn't really been able to see what low power mode does (or overclocking for that matter).   Will low power mode dump the consumption down ~50% ?  MY limited experience tells me probably not,  but .72 to .55 is quite a difference in and of itself..

64  Economy / Securities / Re: ROCKMINER - miners using GEN3 ASICMINER chips on: April 13, 2014, 05:34:17 PM
That list contains hardware that doesn't even exist.

It's from The Genesis Block and I'm aware that all other numbers are purely hypothetical. The only solid numbers from that chart are the ROCKMiner blade, based off of initial tests.

uhm,  how do you get 0.0742 w/gh?    that would be amazing but isn't at all true..  Might want to put the right data in that list.. if i'm not mistaken the real data would put us middle of the pack at best..... 0.855W/G as the rest of this stuff is "at the wall" i think?  Hopefully this is just because of a crude test bench setup..

67  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 4K.com (since 1996) for sale. Auction starting at 40 BTC. on: October 22, 2013, 10:40:29 PM

I doubt you can buy a nice 2-letter domain name in .com zone for 1000 USD. But if you can - please educate me how you can do it.

+1,  or a 3 or 4 letter .com for $1000 even..

68  Economy / Marketplace / Re: have you used WTCR.CA - Canadian Technology Store Accepting Bitcoin on: September 01, 2013, 05:06:22 PM
I think Vitalicus actually ended up getting their order..  it's just that the Canada Post delivery service to his part of the world was VERY slow..  6 weeks or something ridiculous.

@antimattercrusader  -  Thank you for the kind words,  we try and get orders out as fast as possible and UPS Express to USA is averaging 1 to 2 days!

69  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Old BFL buyers vs new asicminer prices on: August 29, 2013, 01:04:37 AM

are there ways to buy the USB miner with fiat ? New comers who have a hard time getting BTC (having to go thru all sort of hassles, bitstamp/localbitcoin/mtgox or what not), might be interested to buy the USB Miner with fiat instead. It will definitely boost the sale, if FC decides to offer them this way and take a bit risk of exchange rate.

We sell them for fiat at WTCR.ca
72  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Protecting the blockchain as an art on: August 25, 2013, 03:40:34 PM

So AM valuation depends on:

* one week of dividends
* last 3 hours estimated hash rate

Good to know.

Oh.. well that kind of blows  Cheesy
Are any other resellers receiving slow/partial shipments from Friedcat?  Sounds like WTCR is having that problem..
I hope production isn't slowing down..

Why would you say that it sounds like we are having that problem?   If anything production seems to be picking up from where I am sitting..  As well your promo order is getting boxed up right as we speak.. Smiley

FC did always say that the promo orders werent immediate,  if anything it was MY decision to jump the gun and say they would be ready for the 15th,  that was my guestimate, we started shipping yesterday so i was off by 4 days..

Promos are now going out as fast as we can ship them,  back log should be cleared within 2 days.

76  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 09, 2013, 02:39:26 PM
But who's going to buy old blades if the new blades come out one week after, without any current information about new product features and pricing?  Buying the old blades right now could be a huge gamble if it means I might miss out on something much better next week.
I bring this up because I'm a large customer.. this could turn other customers away as well

My understanding is the hashrate: price ratio is going to be nearly the same but the newer blades will be easier to work with.  We have some of the old style blades on order and of course will be ordering the new style ones as well as soon as they are available.

lmao,  almost spit out my coffee!
79  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 17, 2013, 03:38:57 PM
If the dividend doesn't include blades pre-order (ie. just USB sale + mining), that would be fantastic.  If it includes blades sales / pre-order, it's a little to the low side.

pretty sure no blade sales / pre-orders at all,  this is all mining and usb
80  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: July 16, 2013, 09:55:03 PM
i've been trying to buy USBs for a week, the backorders everywhere (direct, btcguild, group buys) are getting really annoying. As a shareholder, I hope we can ramp up supply soon.

<shameless plug>

We have plenty at WTCR.ca and have already filled hundreds of orders to satisfied customers all over the world Smiley
