thousands of Gazan day laborers in exchange for no more rockets from Gaza and no more tunnels?

sounds like a fair deal.
Not sure if your reply is sarcastic or not... don't Gazans need jobs?
62  Other / Politics & Society / ‘Hamas-Israel deal imminent,’ to the dismay of Palestinian factions on: August 18, 2015, 05:49:04 PM
Long-term ceasefire between Hamas and Israel would tear Gaza away from West Bank for good, claims Palestinian Communist party official

Hamas is about to sign a “comprehensive” agreement with Israel for the lifting of an eight-year blockade placed on the Gaza Strip in return for a long-term ceasefire, a senior Turkish official said on Sunday. Details of the imminent agreement, reported first by London-based daily al-Hayat on Thursday, have begun to emerge on Hamas news outlets as well over the weekend. According to the reports, Gaza will be allowed to import merchandise through a “floating port” located 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) off the coast. An intermediary port will be established in Cyprus, where all Gaza-bound merchandise will be scrutinized by NATO representatives.

According to Hamas daily al-Resalah, Israel would like to see a larger package deal that would include the exchange of “live and dead Israeli prisoners” held by Hamas — likely a reference to Ethiopian-Israeli citizen Avraham Abere Mengistu and a Bedouin man who both entered the Gaza Strip voluntarily, as well as the remains of Israeli soldiers killed during Operation Protective Edge last summer — in return for Hamas prisoners jailed by Israel.

Israeli Arabic-language website al-Masdar reported on Sunday that Hamas’s leadership held a meeting in Gaza on Friday, specifying the deal’s details. According to al-Masdar’s unnamed Hamas source, Israel has also agreed to allow in thousands of Gazan day laborers through the Erez crossing in return for Hamas’s agreement to stop launching rockets into Israel and digging subterranean attack tunnels underneath the border for a period of at least eight years.

“This agreement is no longer just rumors or blabber, but will be signed any minute,” said Walid Awadh, a member of the political office of the Palestinian People’s Party (PPP), formerly the Communist Party, in Gaza. Officials of PLO factions, such as PPP, have been receiving updates from Hamas on the talks with Blair over the past month, he told The Times of Israel.
Awadh said that his party, like all other PLO factions, is opposed in principle to the deal reached between Hamas and Israel. The agreement, carried out unilaterally by Hamas without consulting the PA, strengthens the political divide with Fatah and will eventually detach Gaza completely from the West Bank and Jerusalem, he argued.

Well, Mozel Tov. Looks like the imminent long term cease fire is good for Israel and good for the people of Gaza, and it goes a long way toward improving image of Hamas. As for West Bank Palestinians moaning about not having direct access to the sea, i can bring several examples of countries in the similar situation:

Andorra
Czech Rep
Bolivia
Paraguay and must not forget all-important
Botswana.

None of these countries have access to the sea and never beatch about. Why should West Bank?

All in all, is a step in right direction. By the way, please take note it is Palestinians who are unhappy about improved relations with Israel, and not vise versa.

The funniest thing in this story is that two American companies - Visa and Mastercard - occupied about 97% of Russian market of plastic cards. And the US government with its "sanctions" made Russian authorities to create its own plastic card Mir with its own processing centre. No doubts after the new card Mir will become usable the next step will be pushing out Visa and Mastercard from Russia, as this is vital for any new business to have essential part of market. Russian government will use all leverages to gain most of Russian plastic cards' market for Mir card.

Thanks to the US government, finally we'll have our own cards.
Thanks to the US Russia will become self sufficient in almost everything, and they hope someday to feed the world.

before it ends US.

I don't know how the US dollar can be destroyed, unless there is some other currency to base their value on. This is probably why the markets are playing havoc with gold. To keep it from replacing the dollar as standard.

Craig Roberts said something interesting in one of his posts. He said something to the effect that Washington outsmarted Russia, and kept the dollar intact by telling Germany and Japan to start to print their own money. I don't know that much about economics, so my interpretation might be wrong.

As for any poster who thinks that Russia's credit card will not be respected, failed to notice it will be combined with Japan's.

what you are sure of is what putin tells you to be sure of....and no more.

Oh, so all those Americans are on the Putin payroll? Interesting!

Hee, hee, hee!

As opposed to the western banking system, which is owned and operated by the most greedy criminals on the planet. Yea, real trustworthy.
Here is something interesting...which might or might not be connected to the establishment of an alternate financial system. Kerry said that if the sanctions on Iran were not removed it would mean war. From what I read, he was referring to the destruction of the dollar. Would it be because Russia and the other nations will trade with Iran in means which cannot be traced?
67  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia introduces its own SWIFT payment system on: August 18, 2015, 05:41:12 AM
i couldnt agree more about the western banking system but that comment is irrelevant pointless and a pitiful attempt at more rusky slight of hand. trying to change the subject doesnt alter the fact that putin is plain untrustworthy.

we have the freedom to criticize as we wish. the difference is we try to improve our banking system, russia sets their banking system up to steal.

Oh then it's not to protect themselves from Washington's manipulations? Interesting!

SOURCE

It also is introducing its own credit rating agency too. Both moves mean that in the future Russia will not only ben independent of the western controlled banking and economic systems, but I suspect the infrastructure will become used by other nations also wishing to escape the clutches of the US dominance and dollar hegemony.

Having started the Ukraine war and imposing sanctions, the US has sown the seeds of their own future demise in regards to control of the world's banking system. Such is the consequence of the abuse of power imo.

Russia put in a national 'Swift' system when sanctions were applied for fear they would be cut off, and it's been working on an international one since then. The international one would not be using the American dollar, but local currencies. One currency would go into the system, and the currency of the receiving country would come out at the other end.

This of course would be harmful to the dollar as an international currency, but the dollar can't be cut off entirely without finding another standard to take its place. One of the problematic aspects to the US other than the eventual demise of the dollar, is that without the dollar, funds cannot be traced so sanctions cannot be applied.

Russia's intent, is to cut itself and the Brics off from the Western economic system so nations won't be vulnerable to Washington's whim. If successful, it will split the world in half.

As for the credit ratings, they have been politicized so as to harm Russia's economy, and the economies of any nation going against Washington's interests. So they are not reflecting a true value. For example China's credit agency has shown a way different outlook towards Russia than the three major agencies in the West.

He should have not received the electoral votes from Indiana.
I hate to break this to you, but even if he didn't get the 34 electoral votes that he got from Indiana, he would have still won by a HUGE margin. It still wouldn't have even been close.
70  Other / Politics & Society / Re: BREAKING: Obama Admin. Officials Convicted Of Voter Fraud In Obama Election on: August 18, 2015, 05:00:31 AM
I think the more salient point is that there is voter fraud to an extent that it does, in fact, make a difference. The left has spent a good six years trying to deny voter fraud exists and that if does exists, it makes so little significance as to not be worth checking voter's IDs. Perhaps we can see an end to that canard.
This was election fraud specifically related to forging (apparently an extremely sloppy attempt to forge) signatures.

How exactly would voter ID have stopped this particular form?

So what was that about a canard?

"Breaking news" from 2013... wow, I knew conservatives were behind the times but this... hahaha.

Hilarious.

Cops do drug bust in Colorado. Meanwhile, cops in Georgia don't.

Quick......somebody.........st art a new thread!
73  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Investigations Into Planned Parenthood Are Falling Totally Flat on: August 17, 2015, 01:01:32 PM
Oh look! They "cleared" the sites not doing fetal tissue profiteering, so let's forget the ones that are. SLB= Standard Leftist Bull
Only a complete nitwit could think what doesn't happen in Georgia matters to what does happen in Colorado.

Damn! It must really suck. Kinda reminds me of that old "this is your brain" egg thing. Truly scrambled.
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Investigations Into Planned Parenthood Are Falling Totally Flat on: August 17, 2015, 12:57:57 PM
Here's an idea. Investigate PP in the states where the videos were made.

lol. Leave it to nitwit liberals to know a crime is committed in, oh, say Oregon, but take the investigation to Delaware.

Sounds about par for the course.

Every day, especially lately, I'm more proud and thankful I'm not one of them.

This whole issue is like a Rorschach test… People continue to see what they want to see.
Yeah, like the OP.

Fortunately with good forum features, I don't have to see that dribble any more.

I'm pro choice, but at least I have the IQ to see what they're doing. Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody wants to read this crap:

What we're looking at is just another full face plant for the faux outrage generated by and for the ignorant and unwashed in their continual war on women:

The true ignorant and unwashed are those who find joking about slinging and crunching baby parts is cute and hilarious!

'Reality' tv is preferable to reality?

So you're a fan of the Kardashian's, who would've knew

Americans are sick of pandering lying politicians, which is why Trumps message resonates so clearly. As a citizen of the United States, I don't get to break the law without a consequence, and neither should illegal aliens. This message will "Trump" any bull(*)(*)(*)(*) message coming from the loony pathetic left
77  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeb Bush POTUS campaign appears dead in the water on: August 16, 2015, 06:39:50 PM
Your post is a patent and blatant lie. You do not know me personally and have no knowledge that "you don't know him".
Actually, the odds are better for you winning the lotto than you having any relationship whatsoever with Jeb Bush. Peddle you BS some place else
78  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeb Bush POTUS campaign appears dead in the water on: August 16, 2015, 06:33:05 PM
Pretty much with the array of exclusive Angry, Old, White clowns the dems have as both known presidential contenders and potential presidential contenders the party might as well just concede the 2016 election here and now. Sanders is a freaking socialist, Hillary is openly corrupt, Joe Biden is senile, John Kerry just finished helping Obama shaft the United States with the Iran Nuclear 'deal', and Al Gore has all the personality before the camera lens of a moldering corpse. In contrast the GOP has so many good and dynamic candidates that it just doesn't matter who stays in or drops out during the course of their primaries. So . . . yeah . . . bring 'em on!
Ain't that the truth

Just as progressive fantasists indulge in the pipe dream of the 'reality tv' entertainer Trump being the GOP nominee.
Trump won't be the nominee, but his message will.
79  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jeb Bush POTUS campaign appears dead in the water on: August 16, 2015, 06:13:26 PM
So the huge crowds of Democrats that are showing up at Sander's events are figments of our collective imagination?

I can only hope that Sanders gets the nomination from democrats. The vast majority of Americans believe in our free and capitalist society, and Sanders is a socialist, so bub bye Bernie

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/chris-weigant/new-poll-shakes-up-gop-ra_b_7968588.html

Jeb Bush has dropped to 7% support with Scott Walker in equal 6 th place. Bush appears dead in the water and there is probably no recovery from here unless Trump and five others above him tank.

Goodbye Jeb. Can't say it was nice knowing you.

Wow, why would you lie like that, you don't know him as you claim
