Evening everyone, hope you are well  Grin
Tungfa asked what was the year on year return for Dash as compared to bitcoin and fiat, so I broke the abacus out and flicked some beads around.

January 1st, 2015

Dash = 0.006185 btc = $1.953
Bitcoin = $315.8
Dash per bitcoin = 161.7

December 19th, 2015

Dash = $2.63
Bitcoin = $462
Dash per bitcoin =175.7

Dash year on year price rise = +34.7 %

Funnily enough it just fits on this chart, how lucky,
https://dashtalk.org/threads/best-and-worst-performing-currencies-in-2015.7289/#post-76399

Edit: whoops this is out of date for bitcoin , its actually 46.7% at $462, better wait till next week and do it again  Wink

The 3 successive pivotal angles each tend more horizontal, question is will the 4th attempt break through your 'corner' ?
The climbs are too linear to my mind so this indicates manipulation, backed up by the large creeping walls that keep reappearing.
Whatever happens next on the Chinese exchanges will change all the others thus indicating this is not a global phenomenon and again supports a weak position.

Possibly not enough buying power but did you see the Russian Ponzi scheme where they are going around the world promising easy money, it reminded me of the litecoin episode in China and look what that did to the price.

Then you make the problem even worse, by making it harder to vote and thus lowering voter participation!!
More equal per person none participation turnout,
and the whale hassle is cunningly weighted so that the bigger the whale the less likely all the votes will be used, an inversely proportional whale voter relationship  Grin

A representative system could be worth considering, imho it'd be an ideal thing to test out the ID and trust systems on. There's likely to be a lot of proposals covering areas that few really give a damn about but someone they trust might and would let them decide on their behalf if given the option.
So another option could be that people getting paid from a proposal can't vote on it.  I have mixed views here...Any owner of dash should be able to vote, but the vote will sway toward those that benefit. A more fair approach is just to bump the % to get over the hurdle of the I have enough node % to vote my proposal in.
This is a great idea, but unenforceable. Dash is an anonymous cryptocurrency, so we don't know who (person) is who (masternode).
You could have a decentralized data base that holds a (initially) empty record of each masternode, where the holder has to insert his priv key in order to initiate a vote possibility from that node, so each one would effectively have to be registered.
Then, a question of being bothered to vote or not would be switched on its head for large owners because they would have to register hundreds of times, where as with most of us it would only be once or twice, I can't see Otoh ever getting round to it Smiley

(or more simply just disable the vote many commands, lol)

Huobi continuing to paint a 45 degree slope, apart from the odd overcooked spur.
60000 BTC sold in minutes...some people are making (and losing) serious money.
Localbitcoins way over selling price, looks like there have been a few sales for $899 !

Chat box works for me and its almost 100% complaints about not getting btc and ltc, wonder how much is left in the Doge purse?

[2] - it's resilient to de-anonimisation (imagine bitcoin's blockchain linked to millions of social media accounts and the rubbing of salt in the wounds of its fungibility problems)
True, if the social media accounts are held encrypted on the masternode storage, this is the first form of defence from attack, even better if the shards were splintered somehow, so if 1 was compromised, it wouldn't matter because the data set is incomplete, only having half the data making the puzzle unsolvable kind of thing.

Hey, fellow krypto hoomernz! (Sorry, I'm not the replacement troll.)
I'm checkin' out https://www.bitebi9.com. There's a DASH/CNY pair there, but it's not listed among the exchanges under your Coinmarketcap entry.
Anyone using it? [Tee hee . . . looks exactly like Cryptsy!]
Mark
This is Cryptsy fallen through a crack in time from the future  Grin
And I correct in thinking that exchanges have their own proprietary code and do not let anyone see it?
otherwise if people saw the price plotting code they could manipulate the market price easier.

Although, Cryptsy do operate as a francise so they must have hired out the interface, do you think the withdrawal problems are included in the package deal or do they come extra?
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: December 08, 2015, 04:40:25 PM
On the 26th Nov I got 100 + 20 DASH out, but since then only 10 DASH in the last 12 days, my withdrawal limit was zero instead of $2,000 per day, recently it has reappeared and I have a few W/D pending but the 10 DASH one is the only one to have been processed, they still have 2,970 DASH & 16.9 BTC of mine frozen for over two months now and continue to ignore my support ticket and emails, I would not advise anyone to try and arbitrage there.
They probably sorted mine quickly because its a trivial amount, looks like they are going to string you along forever for the rest  Angry
Those arbitrages are still rising, Doge is top traded for good reason, they must have lost many customers in the last few days, and anyone who traded Doge at 22% loss will definitely not be trading there again.
The troll box is full of WD complaints, and thats only the ones they haven't banned yet!

OMG, I've got all the lamerios on ignore here, and then KicktheBucket starts fucking PM trolling me with his Nazi propaganda, FFS dood give it a rest, you are irrelevant in my life, go get one yourself if you can, reporting your fascist propaganda hate harassment PM to the Mods, though I doubt that they will give a shit, but anyway.
What violent nasty scum, I draw no difference now with any of them, they are all part of the same shit brigade.

Btw, hope you are doing well generally, how are you going with cryptsy? Did you see the large alt coin creeping arbitrages ..
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash | First Anonymous Coin | Inventor of X11, DGW, Darksend and InstantX on: December 07, 2015, 08:04:58 PM
Just a little warning guys,regarding Cryptsy (yet again, yes yawn) ...
I had 30 Dash stuck on pending for a week, so I got support to cancel it, which they did within 4 hours.
The tricky bit is getting your coins off the exchange without loss or at all, it appears litecoin,bitcoin and Dash are no go coins.

So now we head over to Yee Olde Doge market, transfer a few out without checking the exchange rate anywhere else first, and low and behold the arbitrage turns out to be -22%! (but it does work,quickly and painlessly)
I checked the depth volume at Crypsty for btc/$ and its nearly zero with someone buying tiny amounts at $367, so again there is an arbitrage skew compared to other exchanges (note: bitcoin is $400)
Same can be said for other alt coins, their prices are too high, many others must also be getting outta dodge and I can guarantee they will not be back to trade there again either.

Probably some coins to be made if you want to take the risk and work around the bitcoin withdrawal issue, I am sure they will be happy to accept your bitcoin and altcoin deposits, so good luck!  Roll Eyes
http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/cryptsy/
and
https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/Cryptsy.com

Needless to say after this final little saga, after being stung for 22% to withdraw some coins I wont be going through this again.

Bye bye Cryptsy!
Bye bye Big Vern!!

It was fun while it lasted, so lets not end on a bad one eh?

Amanda from Daily Decrypt with Evan and Minotaur:

Awesome.  Thanks for the pictures.  It would be really cool for Evan to do an interview for the Daily Decrypt.
Can we get a picture of Evan with Andreas?  This could be the point where Dash and Bitcoin start trading places as the main crypto.  That picture would show the moment in time when it all started.
I think an interview is planned.
Evan speak with Andreas yesterdsy but I didn"t took a picture, to not disturb them.
And yes she is soooooo cute  Grin
Yessssss, and smart as well  Grin
I'm glad someone from Mexico is meeting the team there, nice one for going, btw Cool
