61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 06:07:48 PM
So what is your opinion on the possibility that he made an agreement with Ripple Labs to NOT sold them and find another way?

I think thats not possible but I dont know. He got what he wanted, Chris donated his so he is not profiting while Jed still keeps community as hostage. He would be stupid to sell and lose that advantage. Although if he was really a man he should stick to his word.

He is very well aware that only way for stellar to succeed is if he tells people they will make money with stellar and not with xrp.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 05:48:22 PM
www.rippletrak.com is the web page that followed Jed. But its for pay now.

You can check on XRPtalk.org there is a lot of topics about Jed sell off and you there is a lot of info from that page prior to being pay only.

You can also check XRP volumes. He has 9 billion of XRP compare that to volumes that happened since then and you will see its not even near that amount.

There is no web page for XRP distribution that is free so I cannot tell you exact number now. But it is true that he sold only very little and kept his offers a lot higher then sell price in order to stop XRP price from growth. Just go through xrptalk forum there was a lot of people following the action since it was hot theme then.

Also, there you will find which are Jeds known wallets and you can check it your self how many XRP is still on them through https://ripple.com/graph/

Basically, he still got over 8,5 billion (some he donated so he didnt have full 9 billion) to threaten to community.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 05:38:18 PM
He didnt even sell any.
Can you show all his addresses on ripple.com/graph?

I think there was a web page that followed it but its for pay now. He sold only a couple of million. Crashed happened as community got scared and sold their XRP. He will not sell, he is not stupid, you can dump only once but you can threaten forever.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 05:33:06 PM
I dont think there is legal risks. Biggest risk is Jed as he has shown to Ripple community how much he cares about communities.

That and the fact that its family run business with 20 million str going straight to his girlfriend each week.

What if Jed splits up with his girlfriend? Will that affect Stellar in any way, as they are both big holders?

Last time he split up with Ripple Labs he immediatelly took entire community for hostage with threat to sell all his XRP (and then not following through with it at all). So yeah, if they break up I would say Stellar holders are in deep sh.it.

I thought he gave everyone a two-week notice before selling.

Edit: Just checked. He did.

He didnt even sell any. And he probably wont. That is just to scare people so they dont buy xrp but stellar instead. Its keeping community his hostage.

It's a currency with 1% of inflation, so it isn't good for holding anyway, Bitcoin is still better.

I dont know, to me its worse that they put in code that 1% goes to Jeds girlfriend. Its just marketing that anyone can get any part of it since its impossible to get so many votes.

Who is Jed's girlfriend? Joyce Kim?

Yes.

stella price data is now on cryptocoincharts
http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/v2/coins/show/str

I am not sure if it calculates correctly. Its market cap should be around 100 million USD not 4 million.

Stellar is fork of Ripple. No innovation here. But they do have good marketing though. Ripple is brilliant tech, so far 10 million light years ahead of any crypto. We will see if they manage to lift it with such marketing.

Problem is that its personal enrichment scheme and that they dont do anything except copy/paste what Ripple labs does. Also they are funded by financial institution while their marketing is to be anti bank which is also shallow.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 04:43:15 PM
Nah, there is no such legal reason. Almost all BTC holders are known too if they even once used fiat to buy or sell btc through exchange since they all have kyc/aml procedures.

Yeah, its his personal enrichment scheme. Not his but his family as he and his girlfriend are head of everything.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 03, 2014, 04:37:30 PM
Because they only released 200 million so far. They still hold 99,8 billion that is about to get dumped when its released.

Stellar foundation will have more and more. 1% inflation voting is made so that you need to get 1,5% of all coins voted for your wallet to even enter a chance to get some, all votes that dont get that go to foundation so foundation is basically getting 20 million XRP a week.

It seems its a lot more for profit then Ripple Labs.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Argentina Defaults 2nd time in 13 years! on: July 31, 2014, 12:50:24 PM
The impact will probably be that Argentinians will have less money to buy bitcoin in the future.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Moderated Thread - Logo Voting Has Begun[Updates & Discussion] on: July 30, 2014, 03:06:40 PM
NEM is not a concern for me but you guys are funny. You do realize that if that person that owns 26 stakes has to make 13 next accounts and make 13 claims that it means more job for you while nothing changed?

that will be almost NO additional work for us, but quite a lot for him. That is intended

That is true, he will have to make 26 new accounts. I was just saying that it doesnt make sense as it will be more work for you while nothing will be changed as he will still have 26 stakes.

I hope you are not one of them. But you may want to think harder that there may be ways to prevent that too..;-)

I wouldn't try that. Sorry folks, I hope I am not creating a dump action here.

Why do you hope I am not one of them?

There is no way to prevent that, rules clearly stated that 2 stakes per nxt account are maximum. So if he sends them to 13 accounts he didnt break any rules as rules were not written 2 stakes per person.

Anyway, I just made a comment on how that looks from outside.

EDIT: Here are the rules, actually he will need to make 13 NEM accounts too:
9. Additional conversion condition: A maximum of 2 NEMstake tokens will be allowed to convert to NEM per one NXT account (with one unique NEM receiving account). That means if one account sends more than 2 NEMstake tokens back to the issuer account for NEM, he will receive the cap for that account of 2 million NEM. This hopefully will partly discourage an early concentration of NEM in a few accounts.

Farce is the word you need, Atoni.

It is pretty obvious that this thread is intended as a FUD attack on NXT, and an attempt to pump EXO:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=709528.0

Very coincidental that Cryptonaut and Atoni are the first 2 posts in the above EXO thread.....

LOL, that was a joke from me. You can see all my posts in those couple of days that were all jokes.

Most of your posts are jokes.
Can we finally see some evidence of your claims ?

That is true, most of my posts are jokes but not when it comes to nextcoin. I am simply irritated by its community that posts on almost every thread on this forum.

Which evidence do you need? that nextconi copied almost all of its features from other coins? Or the distribution, there is cannot be evidence about distribution except what people that know all big holders say, and James said it very well. You can argue that that is not valid argument and that is ok, to me word of leading developer means something.

So you hate on NXT because it has an active community, because it has large stakeholders and because it successfully implements features that other coins have attempted ?

Yep, good thinking.

I dont hate on nextcoin, I am simply irritated that nowdays you cannot open a can of tuna without some nextcoin guy jumping out saying.....we copied this and this from other coins, we are so innovative, we love ourselves and you all should love us.

And those features were not attempted by other coins but are fully working in other coins.

Anyway, I have to go to bed, and I think you have some job to do too, you could update your nextcoin status on thread you hijacked in which person was going to show his investment skills.

its known fact that people use more accounts and that account explorer doesnt mean anything.

I'm still waiting on your proof that 75% of Nxt is owned by 3-4 people.

"Coz James told me so" is no proof.

Well if you dont believe leading nextcoin developer then ok. I am not forcing you to believe it

Actually, I know James very well.

I just find it funny you are cherrypicking a "lead dev", who is actually a 3rd party dev that doesn't work on the core at all to support your conclusions. Cheesy

Almost every post that mentions who are nextcoin developers mentions him too. So I would say he is pretty important developer hence the word leading
