61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing GekkoScience's new USB stick miner, the aptly-named NewPac on: November 04, 2018, 06:08:13 AM
This is really interesting, I want to try it out. I wanted to ask, what is the benefit over buying something like  a S9.. current prices are like 250-300.  Comparing similar ASIC chip coUnts will this setup burn less energy compared to an Bitmain machine ?  Non the less, Amazing work for the community!

These are low hashrate, definitely not comparable to something like the S9 but will give you a fell and experience in mining. They're using the same chips as in the S9 but far fewer of them

CrazyGuy can you check my purchase in ASICPuppy?
it still showed processing for days.
thank you.

Same here, I ordered last weekend and still no news, just says "processing"

I'm sure someone will pick up the slack.

If this is a little hint... I like it Wink

I see the Dwarf website is down and their youtube channel has been deleted?

Ah yes - the exit strategy.

Seems likely!

BTC moved on saturday as well.. Tongue

What was the BTC address of the Dwarf?

Each address was different. There was an individual address for every different order

Does anyone have pictures of the power layout on the board and the molex adapter shown that was supposed to come with the unit? Thanks in advance.

There's an album I just made of  the pics they uploaded

I support people's right to be stupid with their money.

Isn't that how the economy keeps turning?  Cheesy

Zero chance of anyone buying this with just three pictures and no proof.

Well they're sold out so your odds are slightly off

You claim PayPal is now 'unfrozen'.  I have items in the cart, but when I try to checkout, I can't pay you with PayPal?

They aren't accepting PayPal payments. What they mean to say is orders that were tied up in the PayPal freezing issue that haven't paid using other methods have been put back up on the store

Would be nice to get a version that did not make all my virus protection go ape chit....

Most mining software makes AV programs lose their shit. Just whitelist the file and you'll be fine

When will Raven be on a hardware wallet?  Preferably a Legend nano.

is this being worked on by anyone?

It's being worked on
73  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Terminus R808 Miner Official Support Thread on: June 02, 2018, 12:54:17 AM
While I'm pretty darn disappointed with this product as a whole, it certain served as educational. Customer feedback about fan inadequacy and improved stability with increased underside airflow, stuff like that, is being factored in to the new version's design.

The next version will have heatsinks top and bottom, and come in an enclosure with a single fan (probably 80mm or 92mm or whatever's standard and fits well) blowing sideways through both heatsinks. If you can picture a New R-Box, except in about a four-inch cube. Improved cooling, probably improved fan control, and stackable. The new one will also integrate software voltage control and cgminer will report both chip and PCB temperatures (I've already talked to VH about making fan control profiles in the driver). I'm designing the control package for that right now (just got some new parts in today to play with) for the new stickminer, and it'll be used on every new miner (of any size) going forward.

We've also done a fair bit of work tweaking the manufacturing processes and other issues which contributed to the general unreliability of the Terminus R808. The new one will be tested more extensively before shipping to prevent the warranty nightmare I'm still dealing with on the blue boards.

So, thanks for the feedback on what needs to be improved.

This is why the community supports you mate. You listen to feedback and always strive for the best. That and you don't want to screw the buyer with price. While I didn't get the pod I got both versions of stickminers and look forward to seeing AND buying your next product.

Thanks for all the hard work

I want to know about the further exchanges listing of that coin?
I started mining this coin a few months ago when I saw reviews of this coin on google suggesting it more beneficial in mining. I started mining at that time and got more profit than ethereum at that time then in that days the coin listed on an exchange and the price of it raised to 0.07 USD. looking the increase in price I also invested some of my bitcoin in that coin and decided to sell them only when the coin is added to all of the bigger exchanges but till now I not heard any other bigger news. I have trust on this coin and holding them for longer period but I want a satisfaction from the developers side for the exchange listing and other struggle for mass adoption. I am also doing my best to increase the investors of the coin.

It's still early days... the devs are building currently; things will look very different by years end. If that will be reflected by the price we will see but at least there is solid work being put into development

Seems suprnova was fine in the hack.

Yep seems good on my end too. Another reason why I think suprnova is one of the best

Yup. Suprnova is one of the better mining pools i've been on. Everything is easy to see and all

Nah, I'm on supernova and it was one of the first ones to go offline.

Very unlikely, it was "really" down only once when the RAID failed but since then fee is at 0% to compensate

And that's why you're awesome! Thank you for your hard work Smiley
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dwarf FPGA – the anti-ASIC on: May 31, 2018, 03:06:03 AM
I'm so tempted to place an order... my heart is saying yes but my head is saying no. There's so many questions yet there is also something here... it doesn't look like what's being show is not real hardware. I really don't know what to think

Are you serious, put the wallet down.  Mining profits usually arent made with a new flashy machine, just through building your mine and hard work figuring stuff out Smiley

It's only because I like playing with hardware... not really expecting to turn a profit here and I'd only want one but yeah... just screams too fishy to me

Not only that, when there is a fuck up they step up to the plate and drop fees, etc. Good, solid and reliable

Sorry for the interruption guys, someone was pointing a super-huge ddos botnet to suprnova during the night, didn't see that before in this size.

Most of the IP's are blocked now, I've set the fee to 0 % on the pool for now and will also include some bonuses for compensation of the downtime during the next days.

My (D)DoS sentinel is trained to the new scenario so that shouldn't happen again.

0% fee and 15 % Bonus for now and the next 8-9 h

You're a good man, cheers buddy!
