61  Economy / Securities / Re: A BTC stock exchange for high-risk, unverified securities? on: September 13, 2012, 09:21:19 PM
It's clear to me that there are those that had/have no problems at all, but that doesn't make it less of an issue to me.
Sorry.

I am, however, still waiting for my IPO to launch (and show up in the market). I had my contract, financials, description, and other docs (as well as fee) submitted and paid by August 25th...so 3 weeks ago Sad
So the expected launch date you have provided was supposed to be 3 weeks ago?

Not for long.

Also there are several on GLBSE at the moment that would only need a little help in reaching that status.

Most on GLBSE are already that status imo. No offence to you.

Not exactly, getting into the white catagory would mean you need:
1) A revenue generating business
2) Provide accounts
3) Get verified (minimum photo and address verification)

The majority of GLBSE assets do not meet these standards.

You can start by streamlining the address verification.
Some members (myself included) have to chase you for weeks to get that part done.

63  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is dwolla still good for BTC on: September 12, 2012, 02:46:28 PM
I have a friend that has money stuck in Dwala because he won't give them his SSN, which is ridiculous.

Is this still a requirement?

I had an account then all of a sudden it required that I verify with ID, so I could see that happening to someone with funds in their account.  It doesn't seem to happen to everyone, but trading with exchanges seems to trigger that "needs verification" flag.

The reason I'm asking is, I'm verified (Dwolla and Gox) but it never asked for SSN.

Another invalid block. Makes two in 2 days. Just bad luck?

I saw Graet running away from the EMC servers with a grin on his face... Now I'm not sayin' he done nothin' but I'm just sayin'...

Inaba, keep Graet away from the servers.
Just sayin'...
66  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL quietly changes from internal to external power supply for SC on: September 10, 2012, 11:56:15 PM
I would prefer internal rather than external power supply. One box less to stand on the floor, one cable less in a mess. Current Mac Mini is a step in that direction and I like it.
However I understand why you prefer the external: the possibility of using one great, stable PSU to provide power to a row of singles.

The main reason for an external PSU would be to eliminate PSU failure as a failure mode. No need to return the whole unit when the PSU fails with an external one.

Ok, switching back to try...

Edit: seems to be working, stats still catching up...
So, is it really working now? Cos, yesterday I've noticed that my rigs showing around 400Mhs instead of 25Ghs, I was like wtf  Shocked and switched to bitminter and other emc servers. Will try it out again.

Had the same, but it works now.

Ok, I switch 10diff to VarDiff now, so vardiff is running on both the original Vardiff server and on the 10diff server.  Assuming all goes well for 10diff over the next day or two, I'll roll it out to the rest of the servers.

Please report any problems.

I guess it is because it now is var diff Smiley

What you are saying is that going to var diff broke diff10.

*manually switching to backup pool*

Something is wrong with the diff10 server.
It shows diff1, while the utility I see on cgminer is actually less than expected for diff10.

The pool webpage says I'm mining with only 5% of the hashing rate cgminer tells me. In fact I'm seeing fewer shares in the block-solved list contributed by me.

Something's wrong.

Inaba,

thank you for including Diff10 in the "Top Miners" page.  Grin

Yeah, did a manual payment a couple of hours ago. Still hasn't shown up. Usually takes a minute or two. Half hour at most. I guess there is some sort of bug Inaba has to work out.

I have an autopay waiting to show in the blockchain for 4.5 hours now...

Sorry, payouts should be fixed now, and they all should have processed by the time you read this.

Works, thanks!

I'm mining at the diff10 server atm, but I'm not on the top miners list, although I should be. Is it not included in stats?

Same here.
Inaba mentioned earlier that the top miner list is not accurate because of diff10.

76  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2400 GH/s] EMC: 0 Fee/PPS/DGM/Merged Mining/Dwolla Payout/SMS/Yubikey/More on: August 28, 2012, 09:46:24 PM
Yeah, everything appears fine.. the top 20 list is probably wildly inaccurate as well due to the mixed difficulty.  There's lots of little things like that I keep finding, doh!  Are you still not able to connect to US1?  There's about 460 GH/s on it right now.  I'm wondering why US3 is so under utilized though, there's always less than 100 GH/s on it, heh.  Not a huge deal, we have capacity to spare now.  Each server should be able to handle at least 2TH/s of Diff1 shares if not more.  I need to run some speed tests.

evanesce - You should be able to buy SMS credits now.

My miner at us1 just switched back to us1 again, thanks.

77  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2400 GH/s] EMC: 0 Fee/PPS/DGM/Merged Mining/Dwolla Payout/SMS/Yubikey/More on: August 28, 2012, 09:29:21 PM
My miner at us1 switched to the backup pool while the diff10 miner is still working happily at EMC.

The Top20 list is completely under-reporting the speed too.

Everything OK with the pools?

I have two OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G 240GB as RAID0 config, and am very happy with them:

I have 550$ MtGoxUSD to exchange for Dwolla

Fulfilled.

BCB, thank you!

Some of the pool IPs are not working yet (e.g. diff10).
us1 seems to be ok now.
