61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: July 13, 2023, 04:34:49 AM
If we talk about a long term prospect, we as a gambler will always lose. But if we talk about a short term prospect, we as a gambler could win some because bad luck isn't happen everyday. Just remember, before gambling we should know gambling is for entertain and never consider gambling as a daily income.
I don't agree with your statement. In my opinion, only some gamblers whose ratio of losses is greater than their ratio of wins, because gambling is not only a matter of luck, but a matter of analysis and time. Some gamblers use analysis on their games and this is what makes them win and even make gambling their main source of income, because they already know the flow of the game.
Analysis in gambling only works for some parts of gambling such as sports betting and arbitrage betting, etc., and even those who do analysis and gamble on sports betting don't win all the time because the luck factor somehow still remains and you can't just win based on your analysis because things can turn against you unexpectedly sometimes and you will be surprised to see a team that was guaranteed to win a match will lose it miserably.

So analysis or sports betting don't guarantee that you will get profits everyday, so any kind of gambling it is, it's never going to be a source of income for you because you might win for some days but you will eventually start losing and then you will lose everything that you've won so far.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 13, 2023, 03:58:02 AM
I will clarify that as an addiction. I believe that the successful gambler will not even miss a single time for gambling. A successful gambler meant someone who has been successfully beating the system and winning the jackpot.
That being said, the chance for that to happen is very small. The gamblers need hardly try to beat the system so many times. This process can be called compulsive gambling which will lead to additional gambling.
That's why i define such a winner has become addicted to gambling caused by you will not have a chance to win the jackpot with only a few bets.
I believe a successful gambler has been wasting a lot of money, energy even his focus to play gambling. It will be very correct to call that as addiction rather than compulsive.

I assume, in this case successful gambler is someone who was able winning jackpot or max win.
I don't think you call someone who hits a jackpot a successful gambler because that is temporary and happens only once in decades to a single person, I wouldn't consider that to be a factor for someone being called a successful gambler, and, there is absolutely no one that can beat the system, one might be able to do it for the short-term, but if they keep gambling, they will eventually lose everything back to the system without having anything to leave with.

A successful gambler is someone whose winnings are higher than his losings, which means that if he has lost $20k in his entire gambling lifespan, he has won $25k or even more, which means that he is overall in profit and didn't lose a single penny to the casino from his own pocket but have won something from them.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese city now accepts CBDC payments for bus rides on: July 13, 2023, 03:12:02 AM
China is one of the countries that always presents a variety of the latest technology, but we are not surprised if currently the country has implemented CBDC on all its bus routes, and they continue to develop digital currencies to be used for their purposes, and I believe it will be a big threat to the dollar if later every transaction makes payments using digital currencies, And they already have a digital yuan and will always be relied on to do business.
I don't think that it is a step they've taken to give competition to the USD, but CBDCs are basically created to compete with Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies because they are decentralized digital currencies and countries know that they won't be able to have complete access to these currencies if they are used by the masses, so they are preparing and implementing things that will prevent most people from using cryptocurrencies and use CBDCs.

A lot of people will use them because they don't have an option and those people are the ones who have always been in support of the traditional financial system they don't believe in Bitcoin or blockchain revolutions and they think fiat and banks are the ones that we need forever.
64  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 12, 2023, 05:54:44 PM
All of this not looking good, my account had the same fate. Have not been able to withdraw for couple of days now. All we can do is hope and wait that they have not scam exited the scene Shocked
It has been a bit to long down on maintenance but the people involved there have said that within some days or weeks max they will have a complete renewed version of the site,so they are working a lot in order to bring the site back according to these people. However we all feel the same,we all hope that a good company like Betnomi should be back online soon otherwise we would be witnessing one of the worse precedent from the reputable casinos who happen to go offline,we have ton of other options but the more the merrier I think to satisfy all gamblers needs.
The thing is, why are these updates coming from people involved but the team isn't announcing anything or haven't let their community know about any updates and changes they were about to make before they take the website offline? People who are worried or questioning the integrity of the platform are not wrong because there hasn't been proper communication from the team about this and this is wrong because they should have done it.

All this is basically ruining their reputation very badly and they need to understand this, users who are facing issues with either withdrawals that are stuck or those who have balance in their accounts are all panicking because they fear if the platform will be back or not, team should act quickly about this.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: July 12, 2023, 05:15:39 PM
Well addiction is a big case, be it drugs or gambling  addiction, and stopping  addiction is seen as a relatively  impossible mission and anyone embarking on stopping addiction should be ready for whatever they met doing so.
The first step  to resolving any issue is to first identify  the issue and same thing  applies to gambling  a
Addiction as the first step to stopping addiction is to first identify  that a person is an addict and the second step is to create a personal relationship  with the addict because from my observations, an addict always gets angry when referred to as an addict and possible distancing from anyone who sees them as an addict so what one should do is create a very close relationship  with the addict and from there, every other steps will fall in.

I'm not an addict and I haven't  dealt with anyone who boldly identifies as an addict.
Curing addiction is obviously not easy and it takes a lot of determination and patience to be able to help an addict get out of their addiction because it is not easy to make someone believe that they are actually in a problem and they need to get out of it because a lot of gambling addicts don't accept that they are actually addicted but they say that they just gamble and they are not addicted while they spend a lot of time and money on it every day.

So, the very first step is to make an addict accept the fact that they are actually addicted and then think of a way that can keep them engaged and takes most of their time so that they spend less time gambling and eventually get rid of their addiction because the more time one spends in a casino the more addicted they get.
66  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: July 12, 2023, 04:34:15 PM
Every gambler understood this benefit of online casinos when the pandemic hit the globe. Online gamblers knew this advantage from the day they tried it but, gambling at a physical casino and then gambling at an online casino is different. There is a completely different vibe when you are at an actual casino. I recently visited a neighboring country where physical casinos are available and I enjoyed it like anything. The sound, the excitement, the food, the crowd, and then the experience to use those gambling machines is worth trying your luck. It is once a lifetime experience if you have not tried it. I would suggest everyone to try it once, as it will help you understand the difference between online & offline casinos.
The experience and the vibes of an offline casino are definitely different from an online casino, you can't find the same thrill, the same energy, and the same crown cheering and shouting and having fun all around, some are happy because they are winning at a Poker table, while some are sad as they are losing constantly on a slot machine, that experience is obviously one of a kind and you can't have the same experience when gambling online.

The only thing that makes online gambling more usable for most people is the convenience it provides, you don't need to go out and drive miles away only to get to a land-based casino so that you can gamble while with online casinos, you can gamble anytime, anywhere without any hassle at all.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: 85% of AI start-ups will fail within 3 years. on: July 11, 2023, 12:59:20 PM
humanity will always cope with the evolving technology. it is true that some jobs can be replaced by AI. however, do take note that some jobs are also created out of this. so it depends on the people how he will make himself competent with the current requirements in the job market. people can adjust by equipping himself with the current needs.
the development in AI industry for sure will assist a lot of repetitive problems in the industries. so we need to look at the brighter side of this rather than linger on its negative impact in the job industry.

I agree with you, It totally depend upon people how society will take it, he/she looks like an opportunity or loose their hope and stop being competent. If there is some disadvantage like it may replace some jobs by AI. But there are several advantages as well like AI drives down the time taken to perform a task, AI operates 24x7 without interruption or breaks and has no downtime, which is almost impossible for human or if it is possible then it may need more manpower and most important thing is differently able people never fell incomplete because AI augments the capabilities of differently abled individuals.
AI actually provides more advantages than disadvantages but only if people start seeing it positively, all we think about AI is that it will take our jobs and replace humans, etc., but what we don't think about is how helpful it can be for us in a workplace, AI can do almost anything if you set it up for it, there will be AIs for almost every sector and they can be used to bring more efficiency in the work if they are used in the right way by the right people.

In my personal opinion, AI might replace some jobs where only a single entity is required and AI might be able to do the work more efficiently and accurately than a human, but for most sectors, AI can be used as an assistant and help people with their work and won't replace them.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How real? That football players required to bribe before they are allowed to play on: July 11, 2023, 11:26:09 AM
Hey guys, reading little story on Kylian Mbappe who on Thursday visited Cameroon on a charity with the deaf and other familiarization visit to his father's home town. He spoke with Joseph Dion Ngute, the Cameroon's Prime Minister, he was honoured visiting and I believe this is just like the humanitarian work some influential people do

But one striking revelation was that he would have been a cameroonian player if they weren't asking his father to pay them money before allowing him to play while he still trying to fix his career and French allowed him without payment.

Quote
"At first, I wanted my son to play for Cameroon, but someone at the Cameroonian Football Federation charged me money that I didn't have to make him play," he explained. " The French charged nothing."

I have also heard of some local stories about how some coaches require money from new footballers before they allow them on trier both in their clubs and national teams. Is this happening globally for new players who are still seeking to find a spot in clubs?

Do you think Cameroun miss Mbappe or it is Mbappe that missed Cameroun ?

https://theafricanhistory.com/2975#:~:text=My%20father
That is how you lose on a great player like Mbappe when you are a corrupted country like Cameroon and many other African countries lose such star players exactly because of the same reason. Also in many other third countries in the world the same is happening and I think these type of interviews should have much wider visibility so those people who asked for money would be seeing how big these players become and stop doing it.I know that it is much more difficult to achieve because we are talking about poor countries but these poor countries should start to think bigger for themselves. It would be nice to see such a player playing for Cameroon, not that I don't like seeing him play with France.
What actually makes you think that the guy at the Cameroon Football Federation who asked Mbappe's father for money so that his son be able to play for the team wouldn't do it with someone else after learning about this? He probably doesn't give a shit about what has happened because he gets money from people so that they can play and personal gain is probably what he wants because if he really cared for his country, he wouldn't be doing that at all in the first place.

So, even if he rejects 10 footballers because they don't pay and all of them become successful after joining national teams of other countries, he wouldn't care much as his pocket is getting filled anyhow which is the basic purpose of him being a member of the respected football federation of the country.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 11, 2023, 10:46:15 AM
Of course gamblers like that are crazy, because only those who aim to chase defeat will make gamblers even more miserable. Because it is impossible to return, and it is also impossible to make gambling a source of income and it is highly discouraged, because gambling is the opposite place, namely a place to spend gambler's money.
and gambling or betting carries the risk of significant financial loss. This is really not a reliable way to make money, and in fact can be addictive and cause significant financial and personal problems.
I don't really know which kind of people think of gambling as a source of income when they clearly know that it is all a game of luck and one cannot earn constant money in something where luck is the main factor to decide their faith, and it is not unknown to anyone that one cannot always be lucky, so how can a person take gambling as a way of earning an income when they know it's all about luck and they cannot always be lucky?

Considering gambling as a source of income will only make one lose more money and get nothing in return because they will surely try and chase their losses if they have a limited budget and can't afford to lose any of it if they lose some of it, that will affect the amount they might be able to win.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 11, 2023, 04:51:26 AM
It was not easy to predict that the final match between Netherlands and Sri Lanka would be such a poor performance. We all thought that as both the teams performed well they came to the top first and second positions but in the final match Sri Lanka too were bowled out for 233 runs whereas Netherlands went into bat with a target of 234 runs and were bowled out for just 105 runs. However, the Netherlands will enter this year's World Cup as the weakest team and are expected to be the only good match against Bangladesh. Because Bangladesh is weaker team than Afghanistan in terms of strength and they have already proved that strength by defeating Bangladesh in two matches in Chittagong.
After having amazing performance against teams like West Indies and Zimbabwe in early rounds this was surely poor show of game from then Netherlands because no one was expecting batting like this after doing impressive job and have spot into ODI World Cup2023 but here we still can give them some advantage as after having confirmation for their spot into World Cup they were relaxed and not able to perform as expected.

After winning toss and having target like 234 was surely demanded some good effort from them but Sri Lankan bowlers which were dominating in this event not allowed them to have anything positive from this final and bowled out them very cheaply with having good win for their team their Hero Wanindu Hasaranga takes 22 wickets and steal the show for the Sri Lanka now they need to stay at this level for the Asia Cup and ODI World cup.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Durning bull market we will received many good bounty? on: July 11, 2023, 02:49:33 AM
Bounties are not affected by bull season or bear market season. But it's just about momentum. If the market is currently in the bull market phase then usually new bounties get the chance to get lots of new investors in their projects. And this can certainly be a good opportunity for the project to capitalize on this momentum.
Not bounties themselves but the prices are what get affected by the bear market since even if the tokens are launched if it's done during a bear market, they won't be able to gain enough exposure and high prices which makes the hunters sell their tokens at a very low price. Where if they get $50 for the bounty tokens they've got in a bear market, they could get maybe about $100 if it was launched during a bull season as prices generally go up at that time.

So that is the reason why bounty hunters who know their craft pretty well tend to hunt for bounties more during a bull market because they understand that what they will get from the bounty will be worth way more than the bounties they get during a bear season, so even bounty hunting requires experience and knowledge.
72  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: July 10, 2023, 02:58:41 PM
We cant really be able to point out if there are some changes or not with those TOS and this is why we do end up on accepting our fate and move on.
Did we know about any issues from gamblers who were victims of changes to the Terms of Service? Personally, I believe that a fair gambling site would inform its gamblers if there are significant changes to the TOS that would affect their gambling experience. So, I suppose it wouldn't happen unless there is evidence stating otherwise.
Personally, I've never heard anyone stating that they've been a victim of this, but I do know that a lot of gambling platforms don't inform their customers when they make changes in their terms and conditions, and I've read this myself in a lot of terms and conditions that the platform has the right to modify, add, or remove anything into the terms and conditions page without the consent of the users, and users have already agreed with that when they signed up.

So the point is that if a casino doesn't inform their customers about the changes, they simply don't want them to know about the changes and if they get in trouble, they wouldn't be able to say anything since it's written in their terms and conditions. Most gamblers don't read the terms and conditions, so they think that maybe it has always been there.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: July 10, 2023, 08:46:40 AM
Professional investors tend to diversify their portfolios. For example, they used to buy bonds in addition to various stocks. Some old-school investors like Buffett still do.
When cryptocurrencies reach mass adoption, then instead of bonds, stocks could become the low-volatility assets that should form a counterweight to crypto. And cryptocurrencies are likely to replace stocks in investor portfolios.
However, it’s unlikely that in the next decade we’ll see people holding only different cryptocurrencies in their portfolios. It’s more likely to be 50/50. Not everyone wants to make maximum profit at high risk.
Besides, we shouldn’t forget good old gold, which will remain a safe haven for many. So smart investors will diversify assets in their portfolio roughly as follows: 33% in cryptos, 33% in gold, 33% in stocks.
I agree with you, I don't really think that Bitcoin has converted any traffic from stocks to itself but those who might be interested in Bitcoin as well will diversify their portfolios and add Bitcoin as well. We all know that stocks have been there for decades and people believe in stocks more than cryptocurrencies because they are associated with real companies and firms and people understand how that market generally works more than the cryptocurrency market.

In my opinion, the stock market is more predictable than the cryptocurrency market because the news and stuff give it away about when a certain stock will either go up or down, the downfall of a company or a firm will be seen way before it happens by the experts in the market.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin is more likely to be 100X on: July 09, 2023, 03:20:10 PM
I want to buy some coins, the current alternatives are ogn, ankr, celr, one, and dnt. all on Binance Exchange
Which coin's whale is stronger than other? More speculative value?
I suffered a heavy loss in the bear market, I want 100X
My advice is always to take the profits from time to time. Because if you are too much greedy, then you will face heavy losses. I think BTC and ETH have that kind of possibility to reach 10X value. Also try to investing on coins rather than tokens. I will give you a list of coins.

Eg :
1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. Arbitrum
4. Optimism
5. Zksync(In future)
6. Layerzero(In future)
But I think that kind of move are still for the greedy. You are itchy to always have a profit, that even the small profit you withdraw. So, how can you be able to earn huge that way? Maybe we should wait a little and we need to be sure that we don't HODL for too long, that way we can successfully withdraw a good amount of profit.

Also, we are talking about 100x here not 10x but maybe 10x for BTC and ETH are still hard knowing that their value is already huge. For 10x and more usually people go for newer altcoins or old coins which are still very cheap in value because their potential to pump big are also big. Your 3, 4, 5, and 6 are good candidates for this.
75  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 09, 2023, 01:51:40 PM
@Willowbitcoin. I want to ask, if it is okay for you, what are your transactions with the stake.com like? Do you move more than $5k in and out of the sportsbook more actively than normal or do you store much of your coins and only withdraw your profit?

I recommended stake.com to someone and he immediately made a big deposit. He was my boss before actually. I am worried for him and now also for me hehehehe.
If he is new to Stake and depositing for the first time, there shouldn't be much of an issue other than that they will ask him for a lot of verification and stuff, and once he goes through all that and comes out clean, they will add his deposit and there won't be problems at all for him and for you. In case, he is found doing something wrong and guilty of doing something illegal, which shouldn't be the case if you know him, they might do some investigation as well.

Usually, users who don't deposit or withdraw big amounts are found to be suspicious when they make a big deposit or request a big withdrawal all of a sudden as they can clearly see their history and they have never done such a thing before, so they might think they are cheating or something.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 09, 2023, 06:54:50 AM
Mbappe should leave PSG now, if he still want to be top player, Haaland in one season has won everything he desire in Europe. But Mbappe and Kane are still carrying clubs that has no good projects on their heads. PSG can't win champions league, if they can't achieve it, this season, with Messi then it will take them very long time to win it. Only Mbappe can't help. Mbappe has to leave to Real Madrid if only he wants to play in a club  that will help him to be champion.
Well we cant say that PSG didnt have a good team, they had the biggest chance of winning last season but just had too many superstars. Now PSG is bad and i think that Mbappe should leave because he cannot win the champions league with PSG. With Messi and Ramos that left and Neymar that is always injured i dont think they can reach even the semis in the upcoming season.
When you have too many stars then surely it's never been easy to manage things for better results, and we are watching this with PSG for few years now first time we are having some positive development, but now things are going more bad as their star player is also thinking for the leave but good thing many options are available for them if Mbappé wants to leave, and surely they will be in good shape because they have enough sources which can help them for having another good squad and winning combination.

Luis Enrique arrival is also good sign for the management because he is well experienced and now can bring players which are good for his strategy and also can give him performance which he wants for having good end and better results.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: July 08, 2023, 05:39:00 PM
England Australia women's team has always been a close game with England winning once and Australia winning once in the last 2 T20 matches. Today's match between these two teams is very difficult to predict as both teams are strong at times and are playing with a lot of confidence. But according to my personal prediction Australia is slightly more likely to win than England. But regardless of the result of the game, there will be a lot of excitement in the game
I am not agreed here, Australia and England are equal in quality because historically Australia is best team in women's format with have impressive quality and in last 10 matches which played between these two teams Australia won seven and England won only two so from this you can check difference between these two teams quality.

We have good competition between these two teams in this series as playing in England but still Australia is dominating and having good advantage specially after winning test match now most chances today we have last Twenty/20 match which is going to play at Lord's Australia will be in better position even result in not predictable but still I am routing for the Australia.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to stake your crypto currency on: July 08, 2023, 04:43:20 PM
Everyone is different. Maybe adda who tends to stake to get more profit. But if I personally choose not to do it. I chose to buy then keep and hold it until the right time to sell the coin.
Buying and holding these assets we buy is the best thing to do. Yes, there's profit in staking but do you guys think that it's worth the risk if the risk is it could be gone for real? I'm telling this because many do like to stake in exchanges and there's no guarantee they'll get back those assets they've put into stake if problems exist with their service. While for some wallets that have that service, you still think of the risk if you can take that.
I don't really think it's worth it even if you are using a wallet or a separate website for the staking because you never know what happens. What if you have staked a lot of tokens and the price of that token started crashing all of a sudden? And you can't withdraw the staked funds because the contract doesn't allow you to do so, that is when you will lose all the money you have invested if you are not lucky and the price of the token doesn't recover at all.

I know it doesn't happen with all the tokens and coins but when we talk about altcoins, we all know that there are great risks involved with them, we have seen altcoins crashing to almost zero and leaving all their investors stunned losing thousands of dollars in investments in that single altcoin.

Again this mindless user is back with a nonsense topic to which I am replying. Please guys start avoiding any thread by this dumb and the dumbest user. I have never seen anyone so confusing and stupid with his ideas and chronic gambling syndrome. Either he has lost his mind or he is trying to be cool. I have questioned him in one of his thread and he tends to play a victim, whenever I questioned about the logic behind creating threads on the main board. He has rotten so deep with his loss that he doesn't have a sensible mind anymore. Stay away from his thread and his logic in the future.
What can you expect from a guy who started his journey on the forum by asking for $2m for gambling? He also tried to get funds by starting another topic here, asking for funds for a so-called 4km Crypto Game where he asked users to pay $3,000 as fees for joining the game. I didn't check all this post history but I'm pretty sure after seeing these things that he is not normal, he is either crazy or just acts like one because a sane person wouldn't go around doing these things. Or, maybe he thinks that others are fools and he can get a lot of money by doing all this.

I personally don't think that he is a gambling addict, but he does all this only to fool people and get money from them, he is trying to convince people through this topic that he has an effective dice strategy that can be used to gain constant profit which is an outright lie because there is no such thing in gambling.
80  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for Website Recommendations on: July 07, 2023, 07:10:32 PM
Basically, being an affiliate means having a passive income, because once you've got the referrals directed to a platform and they started using that platform under you, what you earn after that is all passive income since you won't be doing anything at all, but what you are suggesting is not that simple and requires a lot of constant work, if you are partnering up with someone for running a platform, you will need to bring traffic constantly and one-time isn't enough.
A dedicated affiliate marketer never send one time traffic. Bringing traffic is a continuous process and only an affiliate marketing person knows it better. Yes, as an affiliate, you don't need to take other problems of running a platform on your shoulder.
I understand but I believe there is a difference between an affiliate marketer who markets products for a commission and an affiliate marketer who markets a gambling or betting platform to earn a commission for every wager made by their referrals. An affiliate marketer in general gets paid once if they are promoting a certain product only when a person uses their link to purchase that product, but an affiliate who refers someone to a casino earns commissions for every single wager their referrals make on the platform.

That is the reason why I said that an affiliate of a casino platform generally would prefer only doing that since they will be earning a passive income after redirecting the traffic of their referrals' network towards a platform since they will be earning commissions as long as their referrals are active on the platform.
