61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has this ever happened to you as a gambler? on: March 07, 2024, 02:07:06 PM
What could cause a gambler to place a bet to the extent that he no longer has money to pay for the games he played?

I would say that's gambling over gambling lol. Expecting to win a profit and rely on luck. It's a risk that I can't take to do in reality. If lack of funds, then stop and go home instead of pushing for more. There's no Plan B on that action as losing the bet will result in a problem. It's a bet that the man just relies on his God to give him the luck to win. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

Eagerness to win gone wrong. Hope he will learn the lesson after that incident.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you had this gambling experience? on: March 07, 2024, 01:41:02 PM
A usual thing to happen in sports betting, where someone has good winnings on just pure luck guessing instead of doing a self-analysis lol. That might be effective to some sports bettors but if that's proven a good tool, why it doesn't sound like a good method that can last a long run?

Consider winnings through random guessing out of luck without putting any seriousness as just plain pure luck, nothing else. It won't happen often. It's still better to analyze sports that we are familiar with instead of just relying on luck. That's how a good sports bettor will last long.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is AI going to affect gambling in any way ? on: March 07, 2024, 01:20:27 PM
AI has impacted almost all online businesses to major extent. Do you feel that there will be major impact of AI technology on online gambling industry as well ?

By impact, what do you mean? More people will be into gambling? Gambling will be more beneficial? AI will help gamblers winning rate.

With AI technology being applied, we can say that it's a big innovation and a trendy thing but it's only the experience that will change. For example, when dealing with sports betting analysis, AI can predict the possible outcome based on the current team status and players but still, it's no different from self-analysis although it's manual. The result will still depend on how teams will behave in the match.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 07, 2024, 12:31:57 PM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

It's frustrating if it's happened to our family. I will now wait if there will be good changes after that worst experience. Even though disappointing, I will still consider it a blessing in disguise that such an incident happened as it will test my partner. Of course, my partner won't be able to handle that situation easily. As a partner, I will try to always be there to help for a better change.

As time progresses, I'm expecting that my partner will now be a responsible person and won't ever allow that bad experience to happen again.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 07, 2024, 12:20:54 PM
I always tell and advise my friends who are new to gambling to never look for a pattern in luck-based games because there is none even the ever-popular martingale is not a guarantee that you can find a pattern that will give you a continuous win.

I'm not spoiling the fun. If my friends are having consistent wins on their pattern, let them have fun. Later on, they will soon realize that the pattern they always follow won't work suddenly then they will find again another way. They know that it's luck-based games but it's not that we are not concerned about them if it's working for them, who are we to stop them? If they are having fun with it and gives them winning, then good.

What we should tell them is responsible gambling. Even those long-time slot players do have their pattern and then will shift gears if it's not working anymore. Since slots are luck-based games, we can't control people to create their pattern just for luck to come. Again, let's just allow them to use their pattern if it's working for them. Not unless they are not managing their bankroll properly. that's the time we should step in.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Discrepancies in Casino Experiences on: March 06, 2024, 11:53:47 PM
How does it make you feel knowing you've had a smooth experience while others have encountered such challenges?

As long as we know that the casino we are playing with is worth trusting and already built a steady and strong reputation, is it really necessary that should we bother with other's experiences? I don't mind if others are having a bad day at the same casino we are playing as long as their complaint does make sense.

In the first place, I should only mind my own gambling experience. Gambling is not a joke.

If these people are complaining in a popular and reputable casino about their losing streak, then gambling is not for them.
67  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dont chase your loss on: March 06, 2024, 11:35:20 PM
It is best you gamble when necessary not because you want to chase your loss and win back you money, many are victim of this circumstances and for me is a bad practice and this might make you not to employe your gambling skills and roles because you inhast in your decision making. What is your opinion on this?

The fact is, it's not just chasing the losses, but also, chasing the winning. Most gamblers already experience the feeling of winning big and that fuels them to gamble more. Because of that winning experience, they want to experience that again and again. Who doesn't want to feel that experience repeatedly?

While chasing that winning experience, they didn't realize how much money they were risking already and losing in the process. And the next thing that will happen to them is already obvious to us. Some might get luck and still hit that big win but in the end, the same losing result will happen later on.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jason Moloney vs Reymart Gaballo WBO Bantamweight Title (May 12) on: March 01, 2024, 07:01:57 PM
It's better if both boxers are aggressive from the start, so the fight will end early. It's better that way than waiting for Round 12 to just see a boring fight. If Moloney is inspired by the fans and goes for an early KO win, and that's what Gaballo wants, he is also good at finishing the fight early. So either him or Moloney will be KO'd in the fight; either way, people will be entertained.

In most cases at a title defense fight, you can't expect the title holder to be aggressive. They can still aim for a knockout victory without going into aggressive mode. The one that should be aggressive right from the start is always the challenger as they are the ones attempting to steal the title and should go for a quick scoring.

As a fact, even if we do not apply what I mentioned above, Jason Moloney is not a typical aggressive fighter.

Much especially in this fight, since Moloney's camp knows Gaballo as an in-fighter and wants a close bout, they will surely not consider advising Moloney to go aggressive unless it's necessary to do so depending on what will be the flow of the fight as it progresses.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mom won 50,000$ in Lottery on: March 01, 2024, 06:31:44 PM
Most of us spend our whole lives participating and thinking that one day, we will win the big lottery but it seems an impossible thing. However, when we see other people's winning and changing their lifestyle, the hope of winning among us keeps alive.

As a regular lottery bettor here, purchasing 2-3 tickets per week, I suggest to others that don't set too much expectation on winning the jackpot to avoid disappointment and frustration. The lottery is a gambling type where we just literally throw away our money since the chances of winning here are even way lesser than being struck by lightning.

I consider the money I spend in the lottery as already lost even before the draw date.

If luckily I will win, then good and it's a surprise. In the event of losing on the other hand, at least not disappointed.

71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 07:47:20 PM
It just shows that in gambling, a person can breach the boundary limit, whether against religion, against culture, against the law, or everything else. For the sake of gambling, these people don't bother about what will be the result of their doings, or maybe let's say they care, they will still push their desire to gamble because of the simple reason that "they just liked it".

But to make things clear, it doesn't mean that even these people who contradict what should be followed pointing to gambling, are considered bad people in their respective societies, religions, countries, etc. Gamblers have different purposes for why they gamble and these reasons vary per person where at some point, you might consider literally speaking with different people from different societies to fully understand why they are breaking the limit just to gamble.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports that you don’t watch but you keep placing bets on: February 29, 2024, 07:01:49 PM
Although my case is different, maybe this will count: Betting on a different league that I don't follow but is still under my favorite sports.

To make it clear, for example, I always bet on basketball as my preferred sport, usually in the NBA and our local basketball league, PBA. But sometimes, when I'm feeling it, extending my betting to other basketball leagues which is not familiar to me, and my knowledge is lacking, like CBA, NCAA, NBL any other basketball league from different countries that was covered by the sportsbook.

My winning rate placing bets from unfamiliar leagues? Not good. Smiley
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 29, 2024, 06:39:12 PM
Most people will just keep on playing with their winning amount and lose it in gambling. What's the use of such wins if we do not be able to spend it other than gambliing  Roll Eyes

Can't blame those gamblers since luck is already there. They are just maximizing the advantage they are supposed to get by continuing. However, the right timing to take a break is crucial and most of the time, after winning a big amount, the gambler ends their session with no amount left.

Back to the topic, I do think that those gamblers who always share their winnings are already generous even before the time they engage in their gambling activity habit. That being said, we can say that these types of gamblers are naturally kind and known by most people around them as a person who always lends a hand.

I do hope that these gamblers won't experience being trapped in the havoc of gambling as that might change their attitude towards people.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Support, do not criticize. on: February 28, 2024, 08:07:37 PM
The truth is that, overcoming gambling addiction is an individual decision and those around can only support the individual to become better.

This is true and I agree with this.

But having an individual decision depends on how far the person's gambling addiction level is.

Some addicted people, at the extreme worst level, can't properly think of any good things and just focus on how to fulfill their gambling desires. These people need immediate help not just from those people around them but a top form of rehabilitation. Gamblers at that level didn't even know how to decide properly that's why even if we say that the decision to stop gambling is an individual decision, it can't be applied to these gamblers on that critical level.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you & friends thought of engaging on any unfamiliar activity for gambling on: February 28, 2024, 07:19:29 PM
If you live in a place where gambling is completely illegal, you might not likely end up being curious about it since it's not the activity that you've been used to while you grow up. Therefore, no such thing as gambling-related activity you and your friends should think about.

However, if gambling is legal in your place of course there are illegal gambling types that are prohibited, but if one of those illegal gambling games is the one you want, you have no choice but to follow the law and look for an alternative.

I didn't end up yet creating a gambling game with my friends just to look for an alternative. Most of the gambling types I engaged in are legal in my place.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 06:43:53 PM
Generally, it's fine not to completely stop gambling as long as we are taking a break.

Regardless if we are winning or losing, taking a break is necessary. When winning, it's better to cashout some of our winnings and not to expect more. When losing, don't chase that luck on that day but we can resume the other day to refresh everything.

Being responsible in gambling at all times is hard to do, for most. But more importantly, it can be learned.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You See Losing Your Weekly Payment to The Casino on: February 28, 2024, 06:13:21 PM
Do you see losing your payment back to the casino as your own form of indirect support for the project?

Nothing technical there. You've lost your money and that's it. That has nothing to do with any forms of support for your advertised project.

Do you think that I already have a bad gambling mindset thinking that by engaging in one or two bets or games I am supporting the project I promote? [/b]

Again, it's your money therefore it has nothing to do with the project you promote. You are betting to make a profit and not to use that money as a means to support your promoted project. We are in gambling mate, always take care of our bankroll. You get that money because you worked for it and not that the project you have promoted gives it as free money to you.

I suggest try to force yourself not to gamble your weekly payment since you end up worried when you lose it all.

13. other to comes feel free to make yours....

1. I've been into gambling since I was a minor, during the days with no internet. Since technology is improving as years pass by, online gambling also attracts my interest regardless if it's fiat gambling or crypto gambling.

2. Though there are non-sense threads, still, this is the most active forum section about gambling throughout any other forums in general.

3. Yes, I'm even more active at fiat gambling because the deposit is just a few clicks away. There are no cons to playing with crypto but it's just that, most crypto-gambling sites don't accept some of the famous local deposit methods here.

4. I can't remember. Since I've been gambling for several years already, there are lots of best and worst experiences already.

5. I do crave on doing gambling or betting honestly. Gambling addiction? Maybe yes I will admit but still, manageable and tolerable.

6. Slots and sports betting. In sports betting, I have no common bet. I will bet based on the product of my analysis regardless of the odds.

7. I didn't recommend gambling to anyone yet and won't plan to do it. But I'm responding to gambling-related questions if someone approaches me.

8. Yes several times already. If better odds are only possible at betting against my favorite team, I can consider doing it or just ignore that match.

9. I don't consider gambling as a hobby or job. Hobby for me is like, just having fun. In gambling, I'm always serious at every of my session as it's not fun losing even if I afford to lose such an amount.

10. Do you mean in gambling? Of course. As I mentioned, I've been gambling ever since.

11. Accept the most popular local payment methods per country.

12. Useful gambling topics for me are those sports threads meant for discussion the whole league e.g. NBA thread, PBA thread, Boxing event threads, etc.

80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The worst slot provider ever? on: February 23, 2024, 06:01:26 AM
The topic is subjective. It's important to note that slot providers experiences may vary from perosn to person. What might be the worst provider for one person could be the favorite for another.

Therefore, mentioned the reason for both likes and dislikes to make it clear for everyone.

Anyhow, for me, it's not the game provider but some of their slot games themselves. There are slot games where Scatter/Bonus Round/Free Spins really sucks. I'm trying to remember a Dragon-kind game (Hold and Win) where Free Spins features are the worst. The only best part is the Hold and Win feature but unfortunately too difficult to achieve.

That's why in terms of the Hold and Win type of game, I only prefer BNG game providers where almost their entire games are like that.
