5770 $65 5830 $90 5850 $125 5970 $385 6770 $75 6990 $525 7970 $475
Do these numbers seem about right? Thanks.
Those prices looks about right. Not a huge super deal, but not a rip off either.

So many mining programs. What's the best and efficient one for HD5000 series cards? I know that's a very vague question, but I don't even know where to start to try out new miners.

Does anyone even know the science behind the coils whining? Why don't we ever hear of motherboards whining? Only GPU and PSUs.

Lots of interesting designs/concepts in here, ranging from messy-all-over-the-place setups to neatly organized racks. Mine use to be inside just a normal case, but temperatures got too high so now mine is the first option I mentioned haha. Takes up so much dam space.

There's also a thread on here that if you've had a successful transaction, you post about it. Of course this is not a very organized way to do it, but it's an alternative method to this OTC you're talking about.

So with tradehill going underwater like this and holding the remaining money, how do we know mtgox won't do the same? Not even sure who I can trust my money with anymore.

This thread/concept is quite awesome. I skimmed some of it, I'll have to go back and try to read every page.
Did majority of people that tried this backplane actually get at least 8 GPUs working?

There are too many factors involved here. How loud the whine is, is relative, and also it greatly depends on the model of the video card. On a few of mine, it ranges from no noise at all, or barely audible. On others, there is obvious whine, to squealing. I also noticed that when the mining application stops, it also stops squealing.

How much electricity are you really saving with this undervolting?

This thing is going to cost an arm and a leg! But super high density is good only if you're really limited to space.

What's the manufacturer's warranty policy on refurbished GPU's?

So are these 7770 worth it over the 5770?

$108... meh... I think scavenging the goods subforum would get a better deal. I think I see them around $90 or so.

I just got a dedicated mining rig not too long ago, and I wanted to space out the cards by stacking 2 cables on each other. One slot worked, while the other slot didn't work, so I think it's either a hit or miss kind of thing.

Should hit 5 sharp, but I doubt a $5.20

Thanks! I'm finally out. It did take about 2 weeks though

Just curious, are you guys wanting this card for gaming only? Because this is a BTC forum, and only cards you can really mine on is ATI.
Not sure why you would even bother to ask. It's safe to assume we want these for gaming. Well it could have been for protein folding or other DC projects , so I was just curious on the demand.

How much is your electricity rate? I think with the initial cost of the 6990, a 5970 might be a better choice in terms of initial investment. They're nearly the same in income, but initial cost is cheaper for the 5970.

Hmm interesting, didn't know that. If most ports are blocked to prevent any malicious exploits, then what's so special about port 80 that will filter out these exploits also?
