61  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mining farm in Romania on: November 16, 2015, 02:49:44 PM
Interesting, though with those sapphire graphics cards I don't believe that they are mining bitcoin, if they are they're wasting quite a bit of time doing so.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ● on: November 16, 2015, 02:47:51 PM
I agree with your most of your stated points, but I have a few things to bring up.
2) Public opinion. "Lack of a PR team to improve bitcoin's public relations" This aforementioned point is rightly impossible, bitcoin is not limited to a singular group of people or a single business, things that require a PR team. Bitcoin, as advertised pretty much everywhere is a decentralized currency. Though I am interested, I'd rather say that the community itself has to debunk the rumors put forth by the media that are outright lies or not entirely truthful.
6) Global econonmy. Well, okay. Bitcoin does need a network in which to effectively use it in selling and purchasing items, possibly an amazon that accepts bitcoin along with normal currencies. That would be infitinitely benificial to the whole bitcoin system. Alas, this is too far away, as you said, we need a means of education for everyone.
Cool Leadership. LEADERSHIP? The whole point of bitcoins is to have no leader. Idols endorsing bitcoin possibly will help in the whole advertising sector that is required for integration into mainstream society.
9) Capital expansion. The current system is stable enough, of course there are defaults and scams, but members lending have a vigiliant eye for that kind of stuff and defaulting will always happen, in every lending sector it does.
10) Gender relations. I agree with little you say in this, but along with a medium to purchase these things it will be easier for women to get cosmetics and the like. In whole it is the women mentioned choice and responsiblility to exercise bitcoin to their heart's content.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The lack of newbie friendly tutorials on: October 31, 2015, 08:42:39 PM
Yes, everything accumulates.
There are already tutorials for those who know how to use the search bar...
I do believe that the reason tutorials are being pushed out slowly is simply because someone has already made a tutorial for that subject.
Coursera has quite the beginner-advanced experience in their cryptocurrency course. (https://www.coursera.org/course/bitcointech)
It's all in the way you search my friend.
64  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Need to Know about AntMiner U3 on: October 31, 2015, 08:38:21 PM
I have one, the U3 B2 (caged version)
Nowadays, it really doesn't make a buck and the whole of the U3s made are a mostly (and I mean pretty much all of them) are seriously unstable and there are loads of problems with them. It did do me good though, once I figured out in exactly which order I had to unplug, plug in, unplug and plug in to get it hashing, even if it does go zombie every 12 hours it's a good learning experience. One of the blades broke and I fixed it, I learnt how to apply thermal paste and all about direct cooling. It's not much to have but it sure does give you an experience.
65  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Longest time to solve a block? on: October 31, 2015, 08:29:43 PM
Well, that is quiet a trivial question and needs you to do some research on your own due to the fact that nobody really needs to know this and it has no real value other than "I know this"
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin LTC soon at $0 on: October 30, 2015, 06:46:29 PM
Yep. Sure.
Litecoin crashed at the halving to half it's price. ($4-$2)
Now it's all the way back to $3.6 and slowly rising. This is probably an account created just for this stupid statements and to create others like it.
I think litecoin mining will get back on track and the difficulty will raise back to the usual and so will the price.
67  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S1 Dual Blade on: October 30, 2015, 06:39:19 PM
I think it's probably time to move away from the S1...
Maybe it's an omen to send you a message, for instance, "The S1 is oooold as your grandmother's tits"
The S1 may have been affected by the strike, take a look inside to see if there is any electrical damage and make sure both hashboards are active when plugged in. Also check your cables and make sure that they push current through as they should. So many things could be wrong after a lightning strike, so take everything into account and do a check of your equipment.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Pump going on? on: October 30, 2015, 06:35:02 PM
It dropped 2 dollars at the halving, once it hits $4 again there will be a definite dump, of which scale nobody knows.
Litecoin mining will probably pick up again from the difficulty drop but rewards will be less and scrypt miners will probably move to other coins for the mean time until the half becomes FULLY apparrent.
69  Other / MultiBit / Re: Where is this transaction of 1.5 btc on: October 18, 2015, 08:52:50 AM
Okay, the BTC is currently in address "155qJKtkQFuwjZD9P9JqVswZPbWTmcZNrF"
https://blockchain.info/address/155qJKtkQFuwjZD9P9JqVswZPbWTmcZNrF
The payment was recieved in the address 1.5 BTC was sent to at 2015-10-17 10:51:56
1.5 BTC sits in the address "155qJKtkQFuwjZD9P9JqVswZPbWTmcZNrF" unspent.
The transaction is confirmed and your paymium should show the 1.5 BTC,
but I don't personally use paymium so I'm not familiar with their system.
70  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: what mining software for multipool on Mac GPU? on: October 18, 2015, 08:39:29 AM
Uhh, there is no possible way to make money mining bitcoin with a GPU.
It's that simple, you need to mine altcoins or the like. I suggest you do some research on mining before creating unneeded threads.
71  Other / MultiBit / Re: Where is this transaction of 1.5 btc on: October 18, 2015, 08:37:33 AM
I have no idea.
Post the transaction ID, the image website won't even load. The second image did, it looks like the payment went through atop it all.
Transaction ID will give us information 1. where the 1.5BTC is really going and 2. all the information we need. These here images give us very little to work with.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I would like some advice... on: October 16, 2015, 09:31:31 PM
1. Mining Altcoins with GPUs.
Yes! Yes you can! Not bitcoin or litecoin or dogecoin, but there are altcoins that CAN be profitable with a GPU as of now!
Monero and Eth are problematic currencies but currently they are the most profitable with a modern GPU (nVidia is generally supported further than AMD)
2. Yes, there are exchanges.
Cryptsy is one that comes to mind immediately, you can trade most currencies there with a simple google search.
3. Hash limiting?
I guess, you need to work the mining program that you need to use for the specific altcoin. Learn your settings and manipulate the program to grind out a certain amount of speed from your hardware, there is not other easy way.
4. How to mine Altcoins
Once you find a prospective altcoin that you are interested in, look at their bitcointalk.org [ANN] Thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 <---- There.
5. Multiwallet.
Yes, there are multiwallets, but I'd suggest you keep a wallet for each different coin. It's easier than the android mycellium wallet.
73  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: weight antminer s5 for Shipping on: October 13, 2015, 04:51:10 PM
^^
What he said.
What could they possibly do with 1kg more in shipping? I think that they've sent you the 1.5k gram model instead of the 2.5k gram model. Why would they label it 1kg off? Also, considering the radiator  weights are near 1kg apart, you probably have the 1.5k gram fan radiator business. If someone could figure out an exploit to what Bitmain is doing more eyebrows would raise.
74  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: U3 Antminer on Bitminter on: October 02, 2015, 04:42:57 PM
U3 is not supported by Bitminter client, only U1/U2. Sorry. You'll need to use bfgminer or cgminer instead.

hello,

is there any plan to add support for the U3 at some point ?
I mean, there's plenty of U3 around and you'd get a nice ROI with the current fees Smiley

I'm currently using your pool with minera and my 3xU3, but not everyone has a raspberry pi...

No, the U3 is slightly slow at ~60Gh/s and you can easily connect to the Bitminter server with CGMiner, so I wouldn't image they'd need a plan to add compatibility with the U3.
75  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Should i start mining? (More info inside) on: October 02, 2015, 04:40:32 PM
Start reading up on dogie, (or someone of the likes of him)
Read all the setup guides and learn the stats and lays of the different miners and make an informed decision based on reviews, guides and comments around the threads of the different miners.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AWS MINING on: October 01, 2015, 09:11:11 AM
Currently, if you can figure out how to use linux, Ethereum.
Ethereum can be profitable with a 750Ti, which is a 2014 card, with an up to date card like a GTX 980 it's pure profit.
AMD cards are also supported amazingly by the Ethereum community, an R9 380 is pretty speeding mining. The only problem is the fact that you NEED to use a Linux OS to mine.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello newbie question here, on: September 29, 2015, 02:03:27 PM
Well, there are many ways!
Lending, as long as you have a proper escrow, is 100% safe! Like some sort of money holding condom...
Signature campaigns, you will come to know. You will make practically no money at Newbie-Jr Member levels and you only really make income at Hero-Legendary. There is a list somewhere summing all of them up but it really isn't worth it at "Newbie" rank.
78  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: mining speeds on AMD R9 380 on: September 29, 2015, 01:55:45 PM
If you're mining bitcoin, that's a pretty high number...
If you're mining scrypt, that's actually quite low, assuming that you typed KH/s as Mh/s. We need a bit more information on what you're mining to give you a straight answer.
79  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is it possible to run an Antminer S3 and Desktop PC on the same PSU on: September 29, 2015, 01:52:00 PM
If the power in the S3 fluctuates then you're stuffed. That's just it.
The S3 gets too hot since it has to be in your PC case due to short wire requirements that will up your watt count on the S3.
Personally, just get a different PSU, it's so cheap at my local PC shop, I don't know why you would risk it.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH collapsing. NxT UP. on: September 29, 2015, 04:04:33 AM
Ethereum was just a fun experiment, even if it's dev team is strong, mining and running a node is just too hard for the newbies to jump into it, if they manage it at all. NxT on the other hand...
