I have to agree, that last couple of posts have summed up what I have observed from BitSend also.  This is a undervalued coin with a good development team.

I don't need pump and dump, or hypes.  A good coin with solid development to support it will become a great coin.

Nice organic growth is a good sign of a great investment.

@cryptonit I do not know the whole story behind the new swap and I can guess that you probably don't know the whole story either.  But, I am going to assume that a coders/programmers/developers involved up to this point, were able to convince VegasGuy that it was possible to convert the FLY Coin to the newer PIVX platform.

Just as there are many scam coins out there, there are people that think they are able to code (or clone) Crypto wallets and rebrand them under another name.  I am not pointing any fingers and incriminating anyone.  If you look at the root cause and reason for the change, I believe Vegas was looking for a fresh start to keep a great idea going.  However, when you rely on others to help you, there is always the chance that the others are not into the project for the same reasons.

You have to admit that VegasGuy is committed to the cause of open source community contributed crypto-currency.  I can't say that he is making the money that scam ICO people are, ripping people off in the Millions in this new technology, but VegasGuy is really attempting to honestly build a community and a coin that will out live the scams that proliferate this industry.

You, yourself are part of a group of people that have been successful in building a community of not only coins but people dedicated to the future of crypto-currency.  Maybe you have been lucky in doing things the right way at the right time to have the community support that you enjoy now, but not all project grow so easily.  And sometimes, people must learn through personality adjustments how to properly grow the community they wish to attract.

I will conclude with saying, maybe not be so harsh to criticize and there is always an opportunity to help by contributing to a common goal that will help both the LasVegasCoin and the community of coins you are involved with.

The extra files in the Windows zip are the headless version of the wallet or daemon (lasvegascoind) and a other files '-tx' and '-cli' are utilities to use with the daemon.
You can safely delete them if you do not wish to use the headless version of the wallet.

I helped out VegusGuy and LasVegasCoin project by getting this fix out as quickly as I could, but unfortunately I did not have the time to review the code of changes made by others before this.

I do hope the developer Vegas has will continue to work on the wallet fixes.

What is important on the current release 2.4.1.1 is that the Protocol was incremented to 70711. 

The wallet will accept connections with any wallet using protocol 70710 or higher.  However, there is a SPORK (soft fork) that will activate at 2017-09-24 at 17h00 UTC that will ignore any wallets that are not using protocol 70711.

This means that if your wallet is not updated you will not be on the proper blockchain and will not be able to transfer your coins properly to the exchanges or with anyone using a newer wallet.

Also added to the wallet was a working seed node and DNS Seeding.

It's my server that is having problems and seems to stop during blockchain updates on the Block Explorer.  Still attempting to synchronize the Block Explorer with the wallet height.

Start wallet with -maxorphantx=10000 to help speed up the synchronization.  
I will post a zip of the blk001.dat tomorrow if that helps.

The rewards halve every year roughly in the month of August.  PoW is 8 SPACE and PoS is 16 SPACE.

I think you forgot to increment the Protocol on the wallet.  There will be a whole bunch of orphan blocks fighting for consensus after block 20K.

Well, seeking advice from us is a little biased... I think we could see $2 - 5 USD by the end of the year.  Nothing is stopping a $10 USD per BTA from happening.  But I will not sell my BTA even at that value.

I see some turmoil coming before November in Bitcoin because of another Hard-fork possibility and more politics.  The price of BTC has an affect on all other cryto-currency.  What I would like to see (and hope to see) is that when BTC goes down that other coins increase in value and confidence.  When we start to see this happen in the market place, this means that crypto-currencies are more entrenched as a viable as a value currency/asset.  The entire market as a whole will gain momentum and confidence regardless of the politics of the Bitcoin fork dilemma and other coins, be it Ethereum, Dash, Ripple, Litecoin, Doge, or even Bata will gain in attention, and closer scrutiny in its true current and future value.

In the next year we are going to see even more larger capital investment and reporting firms move into the crypto space.

Just a quick update on the next release Bata Core 0.10.5.1.

We are successfully testing on 3 platforms Linux, Windows, and Mac. 

I am currently going through the motions of compiling and testing on Arm64 platform (Raspberry Pi 3). 

If there is any interest, I have a couple Raspberry Pi 2 (32 bit) to test on if requested.

@pc888 - I think we need to add a development fund to Bata. Every PoW and PoS reward will fund a collection of Multi-Sig wallets for the use of development and promotion.

This way we can stop spending our own money and resources. All the bagholders sitting around waiting for our efforts to get them huge profits will actually contribute to a consistent pay stream for us to continue development of a project we started and continue to nurture.  Or better yet, start an ICO, raise millions and leave the 'investors' hanging to dry. How many of those have happened over the last few years, it is sickening!

Or we could just stop this insanity, become forum trolls and Pump and Dump coins on YObit. This requires little talent and even less morals.

Things look so much easier from the outside, but they don't seem to contribute anything constructive.

At least we are attempting to build the systems that will operate economies of the future.  We can say we tried!
