Just because no one gave a fuck but him and Hal Finney for a while does not mean there is a premine. Gulden has a 10% premine (currently I think about 50% of available supply) that was supposed to be for an airdrop to people from some country, but then devs decided to not do that so they're currently sitting on half of available supply. Patato patato.  He has a premine, and its that simple. Call it how you want but stop lying to others. I'd say it's more like potato, shit sandwich; guess which one is the shit sandwich. I'd also say you're the one being dishonest, but whatever, keep pumping your hyip premine non-airdrop scam, I'll let you guys get back to the circle jerk. To my Gulden friends the removal from Apple is the death knell for the coin, the price of the coin is too high without a iPhone wallet. What are the developers going to work on as most projects were mobile?

The 10% premine (currently ~39% of available supply) was originally supposed to be distributed to the Dutch people. They have scrubbed the original ANN, but you can see it quoted here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=554412.msg6049368#msg6049368After 40 years there will be a maximum of 1.7 billion Guldencoins in circulation. 170 million of these have been reserved for Dutch citizens.
To ensure safe distribution of these 170 million Guldencoins to Dutch citizens, we had to create our own system.
We set out to create a realistic method that would make it accessible and fair to everyone, without impeding on your privacy.
We will announce how this system works when it goes live with the Guldencoin on April 4th, 2014. Then at some point they decided they would just keep the premine for development, which so far consists of a closed source mobile wallet and a difficulty retargeting algorithm. Seems pretty scammy to me, but hey, c'est la vie. I can't find this link they talking about, on desktop i need to scan a qr with my iphone wallet but does not work. 1. Is Segwit code integrated in 1.6.1/1.6.2? If so when is the activation date? Is it using version bits or ISM (IsSuperMajority)?
It's integrated but disabled (except on testnet where it is active). We have no immediate plans to activate it on mainnet as right now there is no immediate need (or immediate benefits) to us doing so, we do not have massive block congestion, none of our current services are having overwhelming malleability issues.. There are various risks to activating this ahead of bitcoin, including the fact that it may never activate on bitcoin, if it never activates then perhaps the Bitcoin devs will revisit the malleability problem and find a better solution, perhaps we would rather follow them in that then be stuck supporting a feature they never activated and dumped (just because we wanted to be first) We also have no real desire to being Bitcoins beta testers. So yes, we could have activated this already if we wanted but we aren't really interested in that right now, we are far more interested in our own projects that we are busy working on which IMO are far more exciting and represent far more real value for our userbase. I know the above probably sounds strange in the 'crypto' field where other coins are all clamouring to claim they are first at something so that they can score cheap hype points or whatever, but this is how it is. At Gulden we are focused on sustainable responsible development, not hype driven nonsense and cheap tricks. 2. Is BIP68, BIP112, and BIP113 integrated? If so when is the activation date?
Yes, depends on miners, but in the next few days I believe. 3. Are the ios and android wallet open source? If not, why? The android wallet seems to be based on schilbach but seems to use electrum servers? Any plans to release electrum wallets?
None of our official wallets use Electrum in any way whatsoever, only third party wallets like Coinomi do, personally I recommend people stick to our official wallets which I feel are a far better experience. All of our official wallets are and will remain fully decentralised. 4. It seems that you are the second ios wallet that enables payment to btc also (Dash being the first using shapeshift instead of nocks). Are there any plans to support iWatches also so we can be again the first?
We don't comment on future development plans outside of official announcement channels, I'm afraid you will have to wait and see. I have no comment on any of the other questions. Very satisfying answers. Just 2 remaining: 1. Is BIP68, BIP112, and BIP113 activation done through version bits (a la Bitcoin) or ISM (IsSuperMajority a la Litecoin)? 2. Honestly I'm not that involved with Gulden so I don't really have a say about this, but I've seen Gulden with #1 trading volumes on Bittrex for a while, then now there is only around 12 BTC traded on bittrex. So definitely a drop in the user interest.
However trading volume is only an indication about investing, it doesn't mean that the project is bad.
Not sure what the fuss is all about with this update. Updating the codebase does not make a coin special. Possibly because the codebase update is only the 10th item in the list, perhaps you can't read properly this would explain why your nickname is missing a letter and how you could be dumb enough to actually support a coin as useless as digibyte a coin which can't even do a codebase update. This coin doesn't have multi algo and fast transactions. A transaction is confirmed in over 1 minute for dgb and is the fastest coin in crypto. |

Since the official thread is locked I have no choice but to post in this cestpit of a ANN.
I heard a rumor from a friend on slack the team might be starting a fresh Gulden to get rid of the people doing damage to the currency. Having been around from the start there has been animosity between some of the large early investors and the development team. Which is a shame because Gulden has so much potential but is trapped in a power struggle.
I can't blame the team for thinking of going this route and exchanging coins of holders that have best intentions for the coin and letting those who want to run Gulden take over, I am letting the Gulden team know I will be more then happy to swap my Gulden for whatever coin you decide to start over with.
I would be fine with this but the code for 1.6.0 must be released with new coin and not this one. Why handover innovation to investors? How will coin swap work and will it be 1 to 1 ratio? 1.6.0 is as real as the Easter bunny. Notice none of these testers can confirm the update exists, no updates on the github to be seen. You all been bluffed. |

Digibyte and Gulden will do well within the next year. Have to wait for this btc halving to be done with, until then hold strong and buy low!  As per my post in June: Gulden is finally catching digibyte in marketcap, which means digibyte is most likely due for a rally within 6 months. Gulden has always followed digibytes price movements. As you people can see these are the 2 best coins for long term. DigiByte marketcap $2,580,211 Gulden marketcap $1,938,514 I never used the words caught up. I said catching up, Guldens marketcap was under $700k less then a month ago. I can say caught up for now.  Both my coins at the same level, this is how it was before dgb got onto Poloniex. I have an extremely good idea for digibyte, I have been using it to move btc from exchange to exchange and it is still cheaper then a btc withdrawal even at 1sat lower in price, what i'm proposing is that the DGB team start promoting Digibyte not only as they are today but also as a unique and extremelly fast confirming coin for moving Crypto Exchange to Exchange, nothing matches it's speed and low spread.
Yes i think this a good point, exchanges can handle the blockchain size of digibyte, so you have exchanges that run full nodes and for end users as a means to transport your crypto wealth. I would like to see digibyte on Kraken to make it easier to cash out into fiat as fast as possible when you need funds. Digibyte also blasted passed block 3 million and well on it's way to 4 million blocks. This will make it 10 times more blocks then bitcoin so I think digibyte needs to invest time in lite wallets and forget about the core wallet. Nodes are important but let exchanges and pools run full nodes. |

Nice to have you as part of the community myriadcoin, you are bringing up lots of good discussion points, so much easier to have a discussion when people aren't attacking each other Yes. I suggest DigiByte update to Myriad codebase, then spend their 250,000,000 dollar investment fund on further multi-algo developments. DigiByte could submit their improvements upstream to Myriad and both coins could be seen as working together. Myriad could be the most secure global payments network, and DigiByte could be for gaming tips. The Multi-PoW master race. I hate to say this but Myriad and Dgb development will have to merge. I just read the Gulden announcement page and it looks like they doing a massive release, they have already done 3 updates this year and it will start getting embarrassing that we have more then double their marketcap on www.coinmarketcap.com. The one thing they don't have is marketing and this is where they will fail no matter how good their development is but if they have to get a Jared it will be over for many alt coins. I don't like the Gulden team and I want digibyte to be the best. I am not trying to scare the developers but a merge with Myriad is a good idea, faster development gives Jared more to market. |

I have the same Problem with my Google account. Can't log link them. Are you getting payout at the Moment? All my payout within the last 8 days are stuck on "pending". They might be in the process of moving everything to Azure or heaven forbid the donor for giving free digibyte has decided not to contribute anymore. Only the dev team can confirm what the status is. The community might need to give their digibyte towards the gamers. The free digibyte has to come from somewhere , it doesn't magically fall off trees. I understand that the DGBs must come from somewhere. It is just that the website shows me for 8 days now pending payouts. So I am kind of waiting for them. If there would be an offical message saying that they stop giving away DGBs. Or they are having issues with the website and payouts will continue in a week or so. It would be fine. I am just seeing any news from the admins or support. The team will use some of the 250 000 dollars investment they got to buy some coins to fund the gaming, the community doesn't need to fund anything, everyone relax! |

Does someone of developers considered possibility to add Gulden on Poloniex exchange? Bittrex is good but not enough for boost...
This is something that the Poloniex developers would have to consider, it is not something that the Gulden developers have any control over. everyone who likes can help with making a "new coin request" They will not add Gulden I think, as we have a premine. The only way I could see it happen is if the devs contact them directly to state their case and show how the coins are used for funding. VOX also have premine and are successfully traded on Poloniex. I think that adding NLG to Poloniex could affect the price of the Gulden positively. For example, I, myself, registered on Bittrex because I wanted to buy Guldens and that was the only way. Tell Poloniex Prime is coming after the next update and there is a whitepaper. Maybe the devs can tell us when this filler update will be finished. Poloniex won't add nlg because it is a scrypt coin. There is nothing special like Multi-Algo but if PRIME offers poloniex some change that makes nlg unique it will be added. Wallets are good with nlg but poloniex only cares about unique coins. Being unique and being added to Poloniex will increase the value of nlg. Poloniex is the king of alt coin exchanges. |

fantastic news. Gulden team deserve this. Congrats to them they really deserve it, those funds will surely speed up Gulden's development. Can't believe the funding is done! I wanted to put in 1 btc towards it today. Congrats to the team for achieving the boost. Well lucky you! You can still fund. Not to talk out of line but I would wait and see if the funding produces results, I don't see any development being released since the funding ended. |
