61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So... what really happened to Satoshi? Who was this person? on: October 28, 2015, 04:05:29 AM
if I was satoshi, I'd be afraid of prosecution. this satoshi character created something very revolutionary; I don't think I'd want my name attached to it.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use cases. What do you actually use Bitcoin for? on: October 28, 2015, 04:03:50 AM
I mostly use bitcoin for speculation, but as adoption continues to pick up steam I'd hope that retailers will begin to use BTC. Amazon using BTC would be great!
63  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 28, 2015, 04:03:01 AM
A bank and bitcoin would be ideal. eventually the average person will look for a way to store btc; not likely a person is going to want to store hundreds of thousands of dollars on their hard drive without extra security measures
64  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting on Elections on: October 27, 2015, 11:58:59 PM
It is coming up on election time. That would get quite interesting, I'd join in on the fun Smiley
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel about the negative reputation of the bitcoin currency? on: October 27, 2015, 11:57:00 PM
It comes with every new tech. Internet went through the same process; it'll pass as it becomes easier to use and people "get it"
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People become believers when they see you pay IRL on: October 27, 2015, 11:56:17 PM
This is true. Now, bitcoiners just need more places to be able to pay with BTC
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is Mr Karpeles up to These Days on: October 27, 2015, 11:55:43 PM
He's in Japan and been formally with embezzlement. He's probably being held on remand in a Japanese prison until his trial unless the police are still holding him in a police station for more questioning. Japanese prisons are tough places, you don't get much food, so he might look slim by the time he goes to court.

Here is how a Japanese prison life is...

Wow, that looks absolutely brutal. remind me to commit no crimes in japan
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Proposes Jail Sentence for Bitcoin Activities on: October 27, 2015, 11:52:38 PM
Just like china said they'd ban it. These governments will eventually realize that censorship will become quite difficult in it's traditional sense with the emergence of internet.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dorian Nakamoto fundraiser, for an original artwork by cryptograffiti on: October 27, 2015, 11:51:51 PM
This really did change his life though...it is the fault of the journalist. would love to see something happen to them
70  Other / Meta / Re: End the negative appearance of Bitcoin and BitcoinTalk. on: October 27, 2015, 11:50:39 PM
The crypto slack pages that I'm on (won't mention names) seem to dislike bitcointalk due to some of what I agree to be censorship regarding alts
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Something is changed on bitcoin-dev ML. on: October 27, 2015, 11:49:31 PM
The politics that have emerged from Bitcoin are concerning, to say the least
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What pos coins have the most active devs on: October 26, 2015, 02:44:14 AM
nxt has not only a very active dev team, but many projects are being built on top of NXT as well
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A proposal for Nxt marketing, promotion and development - over 12 Month on: October 26, 2015, 02:43:19 AM
very excited for this. NXT has one of the best usable platforms out there right now. lots of activity going on, especially on their Asset Exchange. this is a coin to watch out for now that it has some marketing
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin LTC soon at $0 on: October 26, 2015, 02:41:56 AM
as much as a dislike saying it, litecoin will probably be around for a while simply because it was the original alt. it has a certain collectors value
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: October 26, 2015, 02:37:50 AM
that's the beauty of gambling..you can earn as much as you'd like
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: October 26, 2015, 02:37:19 AM
I'd say no, long run no. If you're smart about when to quit, then I think it could be
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BIG EVENT] BITCOIN IS NOW A LEGAL PAYMENT METHOD AND A CURRENCY IN THE EU !!!!! on: October 26, 2015, 02:35:21 AM
as far as I understand, this doesn't mean BTC is a legal payment method. it just means that tx's aren't going to have extra taxes attached
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin better that fiat? on: October 26, 2015, 02:31:09 AM
the world is clearly moving into a more electronic era. Bitcoin is a superior electronic currency...
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who really uses bitcoin? on: October 26, 2015, 01:16:01 AM
nerds, hackers, terrorists, speculators at the moment

80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: October 26, 2015, 01:15:12 AM
I'd put everything into NXT coin. Hard to see it not doubling in the next 6 months
