61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ‘Won't Turn Out to Be a Complete Delusion' on: March 13, 2019, 07:05:14 PM
People maybe don`t understand things good but that shouldn`t be case whit economics and financial historian. They have reputation that have to keep, therefore obligation not to talk about something that are not sure about and if do not understand well, they shouldn`t make any comment on it. That is the reason why people should take statements from an experts with caution or reserve. It is always good to hear lots of different opinions but just to get informed, to help you create your own picture.
Maybe this man learn more about the subject and now can give his opinion from different angle. Maybe he has his own interest for presenting different opinion now. Imagine you are reading his statement from couple of years ago that is opposite than now. Now, you can find more experts at this moment talking about bitcoin in negative connotation and some people are taking those statements for granted. Two years from now, in 2021 they come out with different story... I`m just saying, maybe couple years from now he will say some other story again...
And crypto won`t turn out to be delusion  Smiley
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There will be many tokens that go to zero. on: March 12, 2019, 08:44:42 PM
Picture is the greatest, token is reading a horoscope  Cheesy
Really showing how predictions look like.

I think so too. There are so many coins or tokens, lots of them doesn't have solid project behind it and if people don't use it, if the project is not worth of investing and practical use, there is possibly for touching the zero point.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the king of Altcoin? on: March 12, 2019, 02:52:14 PM
Wait, what is the requirement to be the king of altcoin? Is that because of the price or what? Although Ethereum has the higher price comparing the other altcoin, it doesn't make Ethereum can be a king of altcoin. Until now, I don't think that in the altcoin, there is a king that leading them because there is only one king in the cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin.

We don't need a king of Altcoin because we have Bitcoin as the king so I don't think that there is any altcoin that can be a king in the altcoin.
If you check one by one of the altcoin, you will find that there are two altcoin or (more) which have a higher price than Ethereum even of Bitcoin price. That coin is 42 coin and Nanox coin. So I think Ethereum cannot be a king of Altcoin. No offense Grin
Maybe than we will call it a prince of the crypto currency world  Cheesy
In my opinion, price doesn't need to be measure for categorization of strength . Ethereum is a platform that has wide usage, almost every ICO has been made on its ERC20 token platform. That's why he is competing for the crown.
But if I have to choose, it would be USDT(Tether) as a king of alts because of his 24 hour volume on the market. The coin or token can be the best ever but if it's not being used much, it has no right to be called the King or Prince.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is right or wrong that bitcoin price will up to $160k in 2023? on: March 11, 2019, 10:49:48 PM
Has this third bull run period calculated as a possible, or logical reciprocate of first two? I don't have enough knowledge of the market itself and its behavior but when I saw this chart on first sight it looks like some kind of  prophecy.
I don't pay to much attention on predictions. I would like to experience this possibility to happen, it would make my life easier, but I can not see bitcoin price that high at any point.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be worthless? on: March 11, 2019, 09:22:15 PM
Fiat currency are different than crypto currency. Strong country is responsible for strength of fiat currency. On crypto market there is no country to stand behind the coins, there are only demand and offers.  As long as people are buying, trading, simply using bitcoin it will live. Theoretically if people world wide lose interest for bitcoin on any scale, it can become worthless.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: 'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May' on: March 10, 2019, 07:33:07 PM
Charts are so silly, you can find a chart that shows bitcoin is going to 100 dollars in 2020 or you can find one that shows bitcoin could be a million dollars by 2020, I am not joking or making it up, you can literally find charts that SUPPORT both of those things (different charts of course). So, when an "expert" tells me that bitcoin is going to 5 thousand dollars in may because of some chart he made up it just makes me giggle.

This is bitcoin mate, OF COURSE it could go to 5 thousand dollars in may, it doesn't mean it WILL but it MAY do that, that is what bitcoin has done for the past decade, it went up and down so when bitcoin goes up its not a surprise to anyone. There are charts that support the idea of 5000 or more in may and there are charts that show under 3 thousand in may and both of them could be true, only time will tell.
I specially like Pomplianos statement that this prediction is in line with, that we can find at the end of the text where he says that he is `about 50 percent confident that Btc will close under 5000 dollars at the end of the year 2019`. What that even means?? 50%?? It`s like you are trying to hit black or red on roulette, you will either win or lose, basically with equal chances... We all can make predictions like that. And at the end of this article says that `price prediction are purely speculation... explaining basically the core of the predictions.
67  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New Crypto Hardware Wallet Fits Your Phone’s SIM Card Slot on: March 10, 2019, 02:46:37 PM
The firm announced Tuesday that the wallet solution combines an app and the VaultTel Intellichip card to store cryptocurrency private keys on mobile devices, using biometric authentication and “military grade” encryption to keep the funds safe.

The biometric authentication feature ensures that only the phone’s owner can transfer funds from the wallet, VaultTel explains on its website. “More than that, no spy screen recorder or Trojan can record what is happening on your hardware wallet, as it’s a not using your laptop or system resources,” the firm adds.

However, none so far have taken the form factor that would fit a device’s SIM slot. If you want to go really small, you can also get a chip that will store crypto keys that can be inserted under your skin.
That's some fancy protection but the big problem with smartphone hardware crypto wallets I see is losing a smartphone. According to data here and here, 2.8% of smartphones are lost each year. It's not a very big amount, of course, but it's also not something to ignore. 93% of these are lost forever by their owners. Imagine that you had all of your bitcoins on your phone. Would it really make you feel better that nobody can access your money while you are not able to do that as well? That's why I prefer online wallets. Hardware ones just make me too nervous.
You can lose not only smartphone but any hardware wallet like trezor and etc, you can even lose keys of your digital wallet, you can lose any data, doesn't matter.
I like this news very much, when I read title, I already knew what it would be but I am amazed why such a thing wasn't already released, btw idea is great.
For iphone users, they can switch to android. I think anyone who loves modifing things, will choose android over iphone because on android you aren't limited.
Yes, you can loose hardware wallets, keys, data etc. It`s true. But you have your mobile phone always with your self, wherever you are going. The possibility of losing it is increasing that way, you don`t carry your laptop, desktop, private keys with you all the time. The possibility is always there and I wouldn`t be ready to take that risk.
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market will be recovery current year 2019? on: March 10, 2019, 02:31:23 PM
I truly hope so.

Analyzes should not be taken for granted, we have seen lots of different ones talking about good and bad outcome of the market and bitcoin itself. After all, news and speculations are key reasons of market recovery or its downfall. Those effect on people to buy and trade on larger volume and that`s how the price on the market increase.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can buy Bitcoin from the grocery store on: March 06, 2019, 09:10:53 PM
I do believe that there are people that will use Coinstar machine for purchasing part of bitcoin for some small amounts. I now that I would. The idea is great and it still is something that people who knows and are part of cryptocurrency world will appreciate  but we need more of those all around the world. Since I am not close to this store I will have to wait and hope that soon, some Coinstar will appear in my neighborhood.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured on: March 06, 2019, 07:31:53 PM
Doesn`t need to be an inside job. Maybe trader was sharing his trading success with the person that he didn`t suppose to. Or was discussing about it with his friends in some public place while this criminals were near by and listening. Finding was easy then, they probably just tracked him.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin reduced price an opportunity to buy? on: March 05, 2019, 10:10:47 PM
When the price drops from 19 to 3 and a half thousand, it`s logical to see it as an opportunity to invest, having an assumption that it will re-gain its previous highest value at some point. Even when we are definitely not sure that it will happen, not reacting, not investing and missing the opportunity of making great profit is risk that we don`t want to take. We could regret for not taking chance of getting some profit all our life.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “Cryptos” - A new tv show about cryptocurrency on: March 05, 2019, 07:10:00 PM
Lot of shows that are produced really good, have good story and good people in it, had influence on me. Make me wanted to see and get more of the matter that were not my cup of tea. So I do believe that it can have positive impact on people, to get them curious and to help them to understand better this subject. On the other hand, not so good project could mean nothing special or can have counter effect. I hope that the first option will be presented to people cause everyone deserve to know more about cryptocurrency, explained as simple and clear as it can be.
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Vs Lotto on: March 04, 2019, 10:23:20 PM
Those are two entirely different things. You mentioned odds, they are  not on our side when playing lottery. By investing in crypto currency are better. Lottery can not be called as investment, it is try of a person to win big. People usually do not spend much on lottery tickets and have opportunity to win big. In crypto world at this stage, you should invest little bit more money so you can get rich. I wouldn't give up on lottery but I am not expecting to much out of it. I don't think that I will ever become rich by investing in crypto cause I don't have much of funds to enter and I don't believe that I will find a coin that is cheap and will rise astronomically in price in the future but I do believe that will make some profit to me.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless Economy: Is Society ready for transformation? on: March 04, 2019, 09:08:54 PM
Whether society is ready or not it will happen eventually. It is already adopted in some countries and it functions well. I don't know if India is ready for that concept at this moment but everyone needs to start sometime. I know that it is country with billion+ people and I don't know if it is equally developed in all areas of the country and that can be problem in this case.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: A Saving Plan on: March 03, 2019, 10:15:06 PM
I like your plan. I think that it is good, simple strategy. To set upper bar on 10 000$ is okay, if we take in consideration bitcoins ATH and assumption that it will reach that value again. Although it would be much effective to invest large now, when the price is standing on this margin, and achieve bigger profit, I am aware that not everybody can afford such a move. Therefore, taking small steps is good second choice solution.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: February 27, 2019, 08:32:29 PM
That theory is much closer to me than one where Sathoshi created bitcoin. I don't see the reason for anonymity, no one that have made some breakthrough in the history wasn't hiding. And we can only speculate about real reason for creation, if the government really is behind it. Long term plans, three steps ahead as always... The history will tell...
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not intended to be a stock. Blockchain has nothing to do with price on: February 27, 2019, 06:49:47 PM
It wasen`t supposed but by the time it kinda become. It`s funny how thing can take another form..
People have seen the opportunity to earn some profit and started to treat it like that. The fact is that majority doesn`t care to much about blockchain technology, they only looking the price chart as investors. I have to say that I am also with bitcoin because of profit at first place.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Somehow tired of bounty/airdrop (share your story on this thread) on: February 26, 2019, 07:20:30 PM
I don`t have much experience in bounty campaigns. I was part of only one, few months ago, and it didn`t work well. The project was unsuccessful, we didn`t get any reward.
I know that my very close friend had some success participating some bounties but that was year ago.
Since this is my second bounty campaign, I really hope that it will be successful. The project behind it looks great. Maybe it is bit stupid, talking about my campaign but it is a stable coin project, backed and supported by Swiss Franc. That makes me pretty comfortable, I think that it will work just fine. For us, bounty participants and for the project itself.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: One small step for Bitcoin one giant leap for Crypto on: February 25, 2019, 09:12:40 PM
It's not just you, I am sure that there are people that share your thought. And it does look like a boot but unfortunately, that boot didn't kick the bitcoin price to a desire direction. It was more like a little push. We will have to wait a bit longer, to wait for another, bigger boot, with stronger kick, to launch the bitcoin higher.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Religion and politics divide people yet bitcoin unites them on: February 25, 2019, 12:16:35 PM
Marijuana also unites people. Music too. Basically everything that people find as a common interest.
The potential to become the biggest economy of the world is there, but sadly, nobody will ask us. We don't have a right to vote. Maybe in some world tumbling on large scale and breaking current monetary, government systems in some sort of revolution, we will see those changes that we all here are expecting to see. And power don't like transparency. With it they can not hustle.
