'Bitcoin will run up to $5,000 by May'

it is true that the price of bitcoin can break at $ 5,000 in May, but all possibilities can still occur. because it's very difficult to predict the ever-changing price of bitcoin.

Anything is possible when it comes to bitcoin market, you might see the market breaking the resistance at $4200 in an hours trading time, you cannot predict exactly when and how it happens until the market crosses those valuation. The market will recover this year but we cannot estimate how long it will go nor we can exactly know whether we will see the same rally we saw in 2017 but the market will recover from this situation in the coming months.

agree with the experts well $5000 is not a high value from now only different from $1000, two months I think it's enough to raise the demand to $5000 but must estimate the disposal of traders too. we all know very well that there are those who will spread FUD in the public later

I am expecting bitcoin price to move to 5000$ in April. But this will not mean that this will be start of bull market. After reaching 5000$ it can dump back to 3000$ again and then pull back from there.  If this happens, this will be the final dump before we see the real bull market.

As per many experts says that bitcoin has to go below 3000$ before the bear market is fully over. This predication is based upon Technical Analysis.

I guess there are two thoughts here.  We need to see the price goes to $4200 and see how it goes. Currently the price can't even break the $4k barrier so we need to look at that as well. Second, we need some positive news to push the price to that $5k levels, maybe Bakkt or ETF will do, but it's beyond our control.

I believe that bitcoin can reach 5k in May, and even though it is still slow but the market can gradually improve and be able to break the price of 5k.

i actually believe that price is going to be a lot higher than $5000 by May which is a little more than 2 months from now. simply because at the moment there is a big amount of investors waiting on the side lines afraid to come in and waiting for that signal to jump in. so if we break $4k resistance i am sure that there will be a shoot up at firs which can easily bring the price to $6000 which was the real strong bottom before the manipulative dump happened.

This is bitcoin mate, OF COURSE it could go to 5 thousand dollars in may, it doesn't mean it WILL but it MAY do that, that is what bitcoin has done for the past decade, it went up and down so when bitcoin goes up its not a surprise to anyone. I specially like Pomplianos statement that this prediction is in line with, that we can find at the end of the text where he says that he is `about 50 percent confident that Btc will close under 5000 dollars at the end of the year 2019`. What that even means?? 50%?? It`s like you are trying to hit black or red on roulette, you will either win or lose, basically with equal chances... We all can make predictions like that. And at the end of this article says that `price prediction are purely speculation... explaining basically the core of the predictions.

I think the $5k level within a month is very achievable. However, I'm afraid that the faster the price of Bitcoin will jump to $5k, the faster it will fall below the level in which it is now. I think that after another bull trap BTC price may drop even below $2.5k

Because all speculation nowadays always didn't happen.  But it's a good new  actually for everyone and i hope this news can convince more people to accumulate this time.so that even though it's just a predictions we there is still a potential bitcoin can obtain strength to make small progress again.

^  Yup...  Predicting markets is futile, cos all we can really do is follow the trend.  And it looks like it's starting to go sideways and prolly getting ready to trend up.  

There's a good probability you're right, but based on most models we still have to wait it out a while. It's early enough that this could still be a bearish consolidation rather than the start of a bullish accumulation phase like 2015. All we can do is wait it out.

I'm definitely not selling but that's because I don't need to. If we start testing $3K again, a lot of people who bought higher will feel pressured to sell.

I’m expecting for this one because the resistance is getting weaker so we really have the chance to beat that. That is too easy for bitcoin I believe. $5000 can be a good rebound from a big fall last year and for sure that would be the start of up trend, we are slowly getting to that trend again more patience.

If we follow the spring theory, Bitcoin has been contracting for almost 13 months in the long run and for about 5 months (since November) in the short run. The chance of it going up to test 5k is pretty high when compared to the probability of going down below 3k.

I support this post, I think this may be the sentiment of the market right now.   However my target is 6500 not 5000 as I think that support is a ceiling and also will have a kind of attraction to it where price rises until that area.

Its standard test, retrace scenario.   A bear can speculate this rise and still call for lower later, takes alot to be a trader who can hold both minds and profit from price direction.    I do not know time scale but I guess pre summer, I'd relate it to the 2017 peak

As much as I like to see more positive news I don't think it could push the price to $5,000 and if we do hit $5,000 a dip is expected.

This year is not a good year for the price of bitcoin, the fluctuations are very weak not like some time ago which has such great fluctuations. I am sure that someday the price of bitcoin will reach $ 5,000, but I don't think it will happen in May because it still takes time to reach that price with conditions like now.

Let's not judge 2019 right away it's only March there's 9 months left for the price to change.

Every now and then, a few speculators will guess the right price at an specific date, but I'd say it was only by coincidence because no one can accurately predict what the next price is going to be. Don't expect that all that short-term speculation here in the forum, or in social media and other websites, will actually predict the right price, sometimes people just like to make an educated guess or simply throw some random numbers here and there,but 99% of the time, speculators can't predict market movements.

Well, I think they are only optimistic, but I think that's a pretty good optimistic thing with the price of bitcoin even though it's just speculation. however things like this make people more excited. even though we don't know the exact price, we still hope that the bitcoin price reaches that price in the near future.

Not that entirely far-fetched, considering that we've been inching slowly to $4000 for quite a time now, and have broken the elusive short-term barrier once. Partner the current market mood with such a bullish news and we could easily see ourselves launching ourselves from high $3k to $4000-$4500 in no time. This is more reasonable value to expect in second Quarter as most of the so called Experts are telling huge prices that looks like impossible to happen

But if this will become reality though theres no indication so far that it is already starting then maybe $5,000 will better enough to start investing again.
