61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the standard of bitcoin investment? on: October 30, 2017, 05:46:05 PM
I have 4.6 bitcoins, but I don't know if that's a good investment.
I want to know how much people invest in bitcoins, is it more then 10 bitcoins?
And what is the standard bitcoin investment?
I don't want to waste too much money on bitcoin, you know I'm not that rich and I have to pay bills.

OP, to be honest your money is good enough for investment but to be honest again, investment in some other way is too much risky, so just hold your coin and wait until it grows by itself and earn the profit. If you have skill and knowledge only then you can go for trading or gambling, otherwise only keeping the money save in wallet is the best option for the newbie. Do not fall for any trap or attractive scheme.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Storj (SJCK) vs. Siacoin (SC) - Discussion on: October 30, 2017, 01:47:38 PM
From a client & price perspective

for 1TB, prices per months:
Storj price = $15 for storage + $5 for bandwidth (0.1 TB)
Si price = $2 for storage + $1 for bandwith (amount not disclosed)

Sources:
https://storj.io/pricing.html
http://sia.tech

Basically, Storj is 5 to 10 times more expensive than Sia...

Now sia on the other hand has a wallet where you see payouts information about your infrastructure very quickly and very easily but the software itself can be kind of complicated to set up as far as payouts I have no idea which one is better than the other because all we've done is really play around with it.

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INDORSE - Decentralized Professional Network on Blockchain on: October 18, 2017, 12:42:28 PM
I cannot tell where this is shown, where is the data stored in the chain?  That is a strange way to ask it, in other words, if I am "listed" in the network, then my data is put on the blockchain.  There are two possibilities, either it is completely visible and plain text, or it is hidden.  If it is hidden, that encryption information has to be outside the blockchain, yes?  Meaning that it is not decentralized.  I cannot see hashed information on the chain being handled by the wallet client, or am I wrong?
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XSH] TOR/i2p integrated SHIELD Fast transaction times, fully anonymous. on: October 18, 2017, 05:44:52 AM
You mention TOR and many coins have done so, but it looks like there is no need to use TOR outside the wallets, haven't touched the wallets yet.  I wonder, as with some other coins, how well that works when the wallets are using TOR and non-TOR connections.  Isn't it a waste to use a TOR connection, but then also have connected nodes that are outside that network.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia starting ‘CryptoRuble’ !!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: October 18, 2017, 04:59:54 AM
Russia will issue its own ‘CryptoRuble’ decided in closed door meeting in Moscow, according to the local news sources. So, what is these so called 'cryptoRuble' ?  Does anybody have an idea? what about the other cryptos in Russia? Is it starting to follow China?

I also wonder what will happen if all the nations have their own crypto currency, then what will be the role of bitcoin ?
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: October 17, 2017, 08:07:37 PM
I always had a soft spot for Dash and apparently the whole world does.  I find it interesting that it is the one coin that has made enough people like it that it has risen out there with its own ASIC, more than one time.  It, besides BTC, has done something that I do not think other coins have come close to doing and it does it yet again.  I will probably grab one of these.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 06:22:08 PM
I have to keep it and wait until its value increases or buys and sells Bitcoin. was I planning to invest Bitcoin,

but after some research, it is very risky to invest Bitcoin online, I really hope that Bitcoin will continue to increase

First of all there's a lot of scammers in this world. There's no such place which secure with these scammers. Even I've been scammed with US Dollars too so bitcoin is more easy to scam with attractive investment scheme online. So its better to make some bitcoins with signature campaign hold them and use mining system. I don't suggest to do investment, its a risky task unless you have some grantee and surety.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: October 17, 2017, 05:12:27 PM
Hmm this is interesting . Well i like its transaction fee. Bitcoin have low or i should say lowest transaction fee. Second its easy to earn bitcoins with trading  and mining. Third fact that it is decentralized plus high security and secure. There's no way to hacked our wallet unless you have told yourself your private key to anyone. Finally if you have free time you can play gambling and earn while playing . Wink
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: October 17, 2017, 12:16:27 PM
No i don't really thing about it. Its hard to replace money with bitcoins, Because not everyone aware about the bitcoins.  On the other side if it happen the banks maybe  start work with bitcoins as wallet. People use banks to store there bitcoins rather than money  At this point of time, this change of bitcoins replacing banks or bitcoins really does not seems possible.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest now or wait a while? on: October 17, 2017, 09:27:45 AM
Hey guys, my name is Thamos and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I've been reading up on Bitcoin for like, only, 2/3 weeks now. I was already planning on investing but I wanted to have a bit more knowledge about it all. I guess now I do.

I was just wondering, seeing how Bitcoin's price has increased by a lot over the last couple days, when would be best for me to hop in the pool. Should I buy now or should I wait till the price drops (even if it's only by a small percentage)?

I'm just looking for some advice. Thanks a lot!

First of all hello and welcome to bitcoin talk community. Now lets talk about investing. I'd like to suggest you should invest now. Because the price is increasing and maybe it increase more in December.  I heard it will reach up to 10K plus or maybe more.  So don't waste your time invest now .
Don't worry about the high price of bitcoin now. People used to say 4000$ is a high price and now they know it was not high because we are near 5600$. Similarly in future , bitcoin price will rise even more.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long bitcoin will survive ? on: October 16, 2017, 07:16:19 PM
Have you guys ever think to how long is bitcoin will survive in this world ? Well, I mean is there anything that can make bitcoin bankrupt or low price, then possibly will make bitcoiners doesn't want to invest anymore. And also is there any solution to avoid those thing. Just wonder to know.

Well if you look bitcoin's history its seems it will survive until the end of world.
If you start a business with bitcoin you'll surely get profit. I my self use bitcoin to invest. No one can replace bitcoin with other currency. It will survive centuries and thats why people using it as they know it will be only currency that will survive 100+ years.
73  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Do u use anti-static mat for your antminer shelf? on: October 11, 2017, 04:44:52 PM
Lol, haven't touched those in years, I see no reason for the anti-static protection, but for what, $2, I suppose it could never hurt. I would worry more about heat and dust, and the abuse of simply using them. That is where the biggest faults seems to come from.

74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Kill The Income Tax on: October 11, 2017, 09:42:48 AM
Are you sure with bitcoins we all peoples get rid from these income tax ?  First of all bitcoin should famous same as money which maybe possible only in future. Second governments have all rights they can give commands to bank to cut some satoshi as income tax after ever transaction. So there can be two fee, one the bitcoin tx fee (deducted by the miners) and secondly the tax which government can take on transction with bitcoins.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: October 11, 2017, 05:51:00 AM
Bitcoin is for world wide nobody can control its price. Its easy to earn it. We don't need any ID or any personal information disclosure to use wallet or any other sign up .The transaction fee is to much low its fast and secure and on the top it have highly security.  You can compare the transfer fee with other methods like Paypal or western union and you will the difference in charges.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated as IPOs? on: October 10, 2017, 05:04:03 PM
ICOs have become quite popular to bypass rigourous processes put in place by institutions for startups to raise money and thus finance their activity/project.

However, with no consensus on their legal status and the regulation that should apply, many countries and their institutions are advising people to be cautious due to the high volatility and level of risks linked with cryptocurrencies. Shall ICOs be regulated as IPOs and obey existing securities regulations? In order one to make his own opinion about it, here are some of the pros and cons of such a regulation:

-Disadvantages: if money raising fraudulent, no jurisdiction to protect the investors, no equitable ownership, no rights equivalent to being a shareholder, companies have not produced yet any real or tangible results, anonymised transactions

-Advantages: in an ICO, the company may not be subject to direct tax, very little regulatory oversight, firms can raise funds through individuals trading fiat or other virtual currencies, if the money raised does not meet the required amount, the campaign will be written off as a failure and money returned to backers

Companies have raised $180m in ICOs so far in 2017. The question remains if they will still remain so popular whether the regulations will be tightened and whether tokens would be more considered as stocks/shares. Past ICOs should actually be used as a model or a reference to identify good practises and failures and use it to suggest further improvements from a legal point of view. So far, so good.

No way. That ruins the crypto world and its decentralized nature. Yes, some ICO's scam and some steal from the investors, but that is something we have to learn to live with. The benefits of decentralization way overpower the issues. This is the line we must draw in the sand and never cross. If people fear being scammed, then simply avoid the ICO markets. It is better in the long run to keep to our values and not falter.

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CRAVE: Revival on: October 10, 2017, 03:32:43 PM
Oh God, please let the die rest in peace. It had its chance and it just didn't stand out in the rest of the trading coins. I have nothing against pushing it, I actually have some in a wallet and would not mind a higher price, but I can admit that the coin has nothing to offer and should just fade away without all this crying and shouting.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using Bitcoin Cash? on: October 09, 2017, 06:39:02 PM
Nope, the coin gained value from the association with the bitcoin fork and who knows how long that will last. It was not really a fork and is basically a new coin that acts like there was a special fork and it takes advantage of that misunderstanding. This cannot last forever and once people get it, then it will lose value very quickly.
79  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: TOR Nodes on: October 04, 2017, 05:21:32 PM
Do you have reason to turn them on? There is no way that anyone is going to steal from you that way, but there is no reason to turn them on if not needed either. Just because the new car comes with a few toys does not mean you have to use them all in one day. There are aspects that you will never touch in there. And the only way that people get stolen from is out right wrong actions.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Die Because of China? on: October 04, 2017, 02:34:45 PM
Bitcoin will never die. They're mortal. It doesn't matter if china banned Exchanges or ICO. Bitcoin is for everyone and nobody can control it. Its a world wide currency. Price decrease can also help buyer. Traders are already getting benefit of the prices. All in all, bitcoin is the future of  all the currecncies and it is here to stay always.
