61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - Batch#2 waiting list on: May 25, 2013, 09:19:50 AM
Not sure tbh, I just paid it immediately as I didn't want any sort of slow down in delivery.
62  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - Batch#2 waiting list on: May 25, 2013, 09:04:36 AM
This morning I see a "clearance event" in my tracking...
My parcels reached the same point yesterday afternoon (GMT+1). I also got a text from DHL later on in the evening asking me to pay customs fees of £163 (although presumably this is anticipating the charge once the devices reach the UK).
63  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: May 24, 2013, 12:56:26 PM
Does your tracking no# show on dhl.com?
It wasn't showing this morning but it's appeared now and the units are now with DHL.
64  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: May 24, 2013, 07:49:44 AM
Mine just shipped!

Mine just shipped!

Destination of mine is the UK
67  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - Batch#2 waiting list on: May 21, 2013, 09:52:00 AM
darkip; 2 units; paid from walletbit balance on feb03; walletbit confirmed; no tracking ; order number 1xxx (listed on store); email confirmation from both walletbit and avalon
68  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: is order #3121 a valid avalon batch 2 order number? on: May 17, 2013, 09:39:04 AM
The order numbers are seemingly random enough that any 4 digit number could be valid.

You're unlikely to get a response from Yifu regarding this though as they're not encouraging reselling of units.
69  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 15, 2013, 01:01:06 PM
My order was shipped and I have a tracking number. I ordered on February 3rd.

// Mechkobe
Out of curiosity, what sort of time did you place your order? (UTC)
70  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 15, 2013, 12:07:38 PM
I've got a February 3rd order with number 1xxx so it seems pretty random
71  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 15, 2013, 11:59:14 AM
According to this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140716.0 thread at least 40 units shipped.
Nope, those are just successfully placed orders
72  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 15, 2013, 11:18:39 AM
Good news from the field.  I just got an email from Avalon with a tracking number for batch #2.  Wish me luck.
Great news! Are you a trade-in customer?
73  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: May 12, 2013, 09:26:24 PM
With it being the start of the "second week of May" tomorrow, hopefully we'll see some orders start to ship out, or at the very least, an update on what's going on.

[edit] Wait a sec, we're actually going into the third :|
74  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Email Update from Avalon Just In on: May 01, 2013, 11:10:12 PM
Nice to see there's progress, but a little disappointing they said they'd started shipping 2 weeks ago but are only just getting the SMT machines set up now...
75  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Batch #2 First Delivery WATCH Thread (or First Tracking Info) on: April 24, 2013, 05:15:32 PM
Also Avalon team has testing units, which they admitted.
Yes, but given we haven't seen an increase in network hashrate from this, it's obviously on (a) test net.
76  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My batch #2 pledge on: April 16, 2013, 09:59:17 PM
Ouch, $200 to ship expedited.  What the trade in value?
Remember you also get priority shipping over regular customers (but after developers). So $200 is negligible.
77  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon update [15/04/13] on: April 15, 2013, 09:15:32 PM
let the DHL spam begin Wink
It's probably too much to hope for a tracking number isn't it... Sad
78  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon update on: April 15, 2013, 08:57:27 PM
if you mean how it has low fault tolerances on data loss due to packets either via USB or the internet then no not really, however we are changing the internal structure on the FPGA to better cope with this.
That sounds great! Thanks for the quick reply.
79  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon update on: April 15, 2013, 08:49:15 PM
every batch is going through small adjustments, some internal design is different, and late batch 2 and early batch 3 will look like that.
Any word on whether the issue with the FPGA on the control board will be remedied in Batch #2?
80  Bitcoin / Hardware / Avalon update [15/04/13] on: April 15, 2013, 08:38:57 PM
The email is as follows:

Quote
We are ramping up and the shipping of batch two has indeed begun, albeit not up to speed, we expect this situation to improve in a week or so once the equipment finish installing and the new, additional crew get use to the process. we are in also the process of merging many earlier problematic orders, if your order still does not show up in the store by Friday of the 19th please open another ticket.

Those who wish to trade in your FPGA generation Icarus or Lancelot: it is time to package and RMA those units back to us.

State on the Box this is a Icarus/Lancelot RMA, in the box include your contact information (name, email is a must!), once received we'll get in touch with you.

On to chip sales which has been updated.

Due to overwhelming demand, we are going to gauge interest on a smaller 2 module version of the Avalon unit that's effectively half of a Avalon original in size, and greater than 45Gh/s in performance.

As per usual the price of the unit is determined by the following equation.
mining_difficulty * ( 1 + number_of_month_in_lead_time) over a 30 day period on the unit's hashing power. to those interested, here is the form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rJJniFiYn0XMPZVKVni86xBvSTylWw0fv1c1zAfuR68/viewform

p.s. here's a picture of our new case.
