61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SNOV.io decentralized lead generation service on: September 05, 2017, 03:13:17 PM
I decided to do a small experiment and see if the extension manages to find my email via linkedin. In the end it found an email adress that contains part of my name, but I can say that I have no such email and it doesn't exist. When I hover over that email, the system tells me that the email is not valid. So I have a question: how did the system come up with an invalid email (that is marked as non-existent by the system itself) and why is it being displayed at all? I am pretty sure that I never had this kind of email.

I am no expert about this butt I'll just try to answer it. About part of your name, maybe the system recognize that part of your name, but that name maybe belongs to someone else. and about why they keep displaying the email is maybe, so that someone who have the more accurate information about that people who got "part-of-your-name" can contribute their more reliable email, or correct the data.

63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SNOV.io decentralized lead generation service on: August 31, 2017, 03:16:01 PM
guys, i saw a similar app skrapp.io. what's the differences between this and snov.io?

There is anoher difference -- we deliver verifed emails, we are able to verify emails you upload, our extension works almost on any website showing emails of a particular domain and there are a couple more features like company and people profiles search.

What happens if I contribute email that has been contributed by someone else just before me? Do I get zero payment in this case?

You will get payed in snovio internal credits for any contact contributed, and in case of purchase the reward in SNOV tokens will be distributed proportionaly between all contributors in accordance with the weighted system.

It accounts for the following parameters:
The time and date when concrete information was added to the system
Contributors’ activity, in other words: a contributor’s concrete activity in adding and updating data within the entire network’s total activity stream
How many sales a contributor has made
How many refunds and complaints a contributor has
The source and upload channel of the data
The quality and quantity weight of the informational fields in the data and concrete lead at the time of customers’ purchases

well that is great and fair, promotes good quality information because they will also be meticulous about the information they provide

you said that I should have 300 friends on fb to join the facebook campaign. i have 250. is that a problem?

i am not part of the team but I think it is safer to get 50 more friends, just in case they count it strictly and couldn't bend the rule
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SNOV.io decentralized lead generation service on: August 30, 2017, 04:34:26 PM
i have another question, who get to decide that the data is in a good quality? the user? or is there any team? or both?

On last page they said that will quality of the leads would be evaluated based on purchase history and data accuracy. Although I don't know how the accuracy of the data will be verified. If there are thousands of leads than it has to be done autmatically I suppose...

just got some sudden clarity after I read in this thread and also on the web, it says that there's data transparency and they said system that will guarantee the lead information is good. is that it? or I have been misinformed?
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BOUNTY] Snovio - decentralized lead generation service on: August 29, 2017, 04:26:10 PM
This project is great, and based on my quick count of people who joined on the bounty, i think its going to be a great success, i mean it is very promising.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SNOV.io decentralized lead generation service on: August 29, 2017, 04:16:07 PM
I just re-read about this and just occurred to me that immediate notifications whenever information changes or is updated in any lead that they have bought, is a very good feature nowadays.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BOUNTY] Snovio - decentralized lead generation service on: August 29, 2017, 07:42:23 AM
for those who already join twitter, fb, etc, how is it going guys? this project seems very promising and i would like to know how is it so far.

The bonus for first-day investors is very tempting, keep up the good work guys
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where is the BCC dump? on: August 08, 2017, 09:46:18 PM
I'll probably sell BCC when if and when it reaches $1,000 and there are at least 5 exchanges with reasonable volume. If it never reaches that price, that's OK too.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which one to buy? Stocks Houses Gold or Bitcoin or Bonds? on: August 06, 2017, 01:19:06 AM

Breakdown of performance for that period (in USD terms):
Bitcoin/USD: +80%
S&P 500 Stocks: +30%
Real Estate (REITs): +26%
Gold: +3%
Bonds: +1%

Everything above except bonds. Why? Bonds typically have a high risk/reward ratio almost equivalent to equities, yet the potential rewards are really low. In the event of a company going bankrupt,  bondholders do indeed have higher priority than stockholders in getting something back, but this does not really matter if shit hits the fan and all the company's assets are wiped out. Further more, bonds and stocks have a really high correlation historically.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So has Roger Ver dumped his BTC for BCC yet? on: August 05, 2017, 03:46:32 PM
Why are you people so obsessed with him?

Because Bitcoin Jesus turned out to be Bitcoin Judas after all.

Let's see where his "superior" BIG BLOCKS get him.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is btc mining still profitable or is it just a big cover-up scam? on: August 03, 2017, 01:51:35 PM
It may still be profitable depending on the cost of your electricity. This is a key factor, because it makes or breaks the whole equation.

If your friend's miners are already paid for, he probably should still keep mining as long as the total cost to generate a coin (electricity, space rental, etc.) is less than the value of the actual coin.

By the way the Antminer S9 has been around for almost a year and it still is not outdated. The days when a 65nm miner is obsolete before it is even released is over. 16nm is still viable and not too far away from the bleeding edge.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is there so much negativity over the "bitcoin cash" coin? on: August 01, 2017, 04:27:44 PM
I was looking at this coin in slightly more detail and it has a much larger blocksize and was the original bitcoin.
So, why do most people want this coin to become just another altcoin or pump and dump coin when it is basically the same as the other bitcoin but with a better blocksize and more transactions that can fit into the block?

Code:
bigger != better

Well, not always anyway.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rewards for nodes ? on: August 01, 2017, 04:19:30 PM
This won't be possible without a deterministic way to determine node performance.

For instance, a guy running a 64-core server should be rewarded more than a schmuck running a Raspberry Pi and holding up the network with slow message and block propagation.

In case of a Sybil attack, the performance of the all the Sybil nodes would just be aggregated to that of the single host and rewarded appropriately.

Junk low performing nodes that waste time letting other nodes connect to them (but can't deliver) should also be penalized.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is BCC an altcoin? on: August 01, 2017, 04:08:22 PM
If bitcoin is gonna to get splitted there will be new coin which called bitcoin cash  alternative to current known btc. You can sell/buy/purchase stuff like you do them with bitcoins.

PuertoLibre, you sound different. You sold your account?  Grin Grin Grin

Of course BCC is an altcoin.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-e.com down ! Police detains the owner . on: July 27, 2017, 09:28:36 AM
No one will get their money back from BTC-E.

Pity, I have about 200 NMC there collected from years of merge mining. Should have converted them to BTC and withdrawn when I had the chance.

Who bothers to run their own NMC wallets anyway?
78  Other / Meta / Re: Should ICOs without blockchains be removed from Alternate Cryptocurrencies forum on: July 26, 2017, 04:55:26 PM
So you are requesting an entity totally unpowerful outside the U.S. to mess in the crypto-sphere just because people are raising money ? Investors are not dumb as some may think here. If they invest it means that they want to do it, and I do not find it too fair to go against the will of the people while Bitcoin was created to promote total liberty, for whatever it is.

I'm not requesting it I just hope these get rich quick scammers get what they deserve. Most of these icos have little to nothing to do with crypto or at the most are largely worthless or negative to it. Most are just straight up scams which are nothing but get rich quick schemes to make the operators millionaires. And I would seriously  question the intelligence of a lot of the people that invest in some of this crap because I doubt most of them will deliver on their promises.

And this is a private forum so you don't have total liberty. Look at how much liberty users already get and they abuse it on masse. There have been people caught with 200 alt accounts spamming the same reworded crap one after the other and they got paid to do it by these ico idiots  who don't care as long as their advert is getting spammed all over the forum. Dozens of campaigns pop up every month and do exactly the same so that's why you need some rules to play by sometimes and not just let the scammers and greedy capitalists run rife and unregulated.

If the operator of this private forum lives in the US, or if the forum/domain is hosted/registered in the US, then think he has every right to protect himself and the forum from falling afoul of US law. This includes taking unilateral action to stop these scamming scumbags, even if that might raise First Amendment issues.
79  Other / Meta / Re: Rank wtf? on: July 26, 2017, 04:33:13 PM
To be regular is rewarded. It has limits tho.

It's pretty difficult to be regular when you don't feel like posting. I guess you could try to make 1 post every 2 weeks when you are feeling lazy and then later on just make up for it by crap posting a string of shit posts in one marathon session.
