I used to write 10 BitCoin, instead of 10 Bitcoin. At the time I just felt it was the way it was supposed to be typed/written out, but it just didn't seem proper after writing it.

Sincerely hoping my jalapenos will get here before the end of the year. I've heard they are just NOW shipping singles (Not ASICS) ordered from early August.
The singles shipping time is the best its ever been. You should have done more research if you were worried about a 30 day turnaround. I've read and done quite a bit of research on BFL and their problematic shipping, and I of course was not looking for a 30 day turnaround, I was given an estimate that pre-orders would begin shipping late October-Early November, so I'm hoping to get it before January.

Cant you just fill in the whois information on namecheap will bullshit info for that domain?
This is in no way an option. As per regulation of ICANN, all domains registered must have valid contact information. Let's say I need to be contacted for some reason for the domain name in question, if the can't contact me they will simply proceed and I could have the domain possibly revoked or transfered out of my account. Granted the possibility of me needing to be contacted is very slim, it could happen.

Oh the excitement you will have exploring this great currency I've been here a week, made practically nothing, and I'm STILL addicted, lol... Looks like we are in the same boat! Hopefully that will change, have you invested in any rigs?

I just registered a new, bitcoin related domain with NameCheap and purchased a WhoIs Guard subscription for it just like the rest of my 100+ active domains with them, I didn't realize until after my purchase that WhoIs Guard is not compatible with .US domains due to restrictions. What is the best option for me? I'm not exactly thrilled with my information being on public display to anyone who wants to query the domain with a WhoIs service. I've been considering getting a P.O. Box to mask my home address.

DailyBitcoins is great, works every hour!

PayPal > Bitcoins would be very handy. I would never trust someone I met on IRC etc though, just asking to be scammed I second this. Like was said a few posts earlier, bank wiring to Mt.Gox would be your best bet.

Haven't spent any on BTC itself, but did spend $170 on a BFL Pre-order.

I have a strong feeling they will deliver, but not on time. I've never ordered from BFL before except to pre-order my jalapeno but by reading these forums I'm nearly sure the ETA for delivery will be pushed back quite a bit.

Seeing that the landing page mentioned earlier in the thread was never posted to the public by BFL, I'm sure it's simple an experimental construction page with place holder images.

Pre-ordered a jalapeno and was told late October, however I'm sure that will get pushed back into late November or even early December.

Great guide, I was actually too lazy to do this when I first began Bitcoin, so one day I booted up my laptop that contained my wallet that had not been backed up and I ended up losing all of my coins, I know 12 isn't much but for a starter it sure felt like a huge loss.
