61  Economy / Lending / Re: I need 0.007 Loan, collateral available on: September 29, 2016, 06:09:29 AM
Ask your family.  Ask your friends.  Ask anyone who might not require collateral,  because as said above, on this forum you'll definitely need it.   If not, lock the thread so it doesn't become a spammer's junkyard.
62  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where the bitcoin address with the letter 3 in front? on: September 29, 2016, 06:02:45 AM
Are you asking why do some bitcoin addresses start with the number 3?

These are pay to script hash addresses, abbreviated as P2SH. More commonly they are known as multi-signature addresses.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Pay_to_script_hash
Thanks for that link.  I wish I understood anything it talked about, but I don't.   Thankfully, like driving a car, you don't need to know all the technical details to use bitcoin.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: huffington post article "crypto currencies: A time to invest?" on: September 29, 2016, 03:51:56 AM
Very nice article, though I can't stand Huffington Post. Any mention of bitcoin in the media is a good one. There's no such thing as bad publicity, as it plants the seed if nothing else.   Money of the internet...yeah, sorta.
64  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Antibarcode tried to scam from Auctions on: September 28, 2016, 05:29:50 PM
And this topic should be removed, no one bought - paid money for that steam account, i am trying to sell my first product but motherfuckers out there just trying to ruin my reputation and i am not willing to talk with them kindly, fuck you too and you should get plus -1 reputation score for inadequate information.
Quoted.  This doesn't help your case, dude.
65  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: aAverage earning of Full members and senior members per month from bitcointalk on: September 28, 2016, 05:27:53 PM
I only earn a few dollars per week with the secondstrade campaign,  but it's just extra disposable income to me.  I have a full-time job,  which pays for everything I need.  I was grateful to get into this campaign,  as a lot of them were full and a lot are very selective as well.   Furthermore,  I can earn a lot more on the forum with a higher ranked account.   I'll get there.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most common mistakes of amatuer Bitcoin sellers on: September 28, 2016, 03:18:47 PM
There will be scammers on every platform, not just with Bitcoin. We live in a world where people want to take shortcuts to get money.

They would spend hours trying to think of creative ways to scam hard working people out of their money. The worst of these are the

people using charities to do this. I once seen a women walking around with a dead child, trying to get sympathy from tourist and begging

for money in Africa. The child was not even her own... just a object to get people's pity for them to open their wallets.  Shocked

That is disgusting to say the least and that woman should be put to jail at least for eternity with such gesture. A truly monstrous gesture. By the way why are the money needed for the dead child in the first place ?

Scammers cannot be stopped and there will always be people who will fall for their tricks unfortunately. Personally I sell bitcoin lower than 1:1 rate at Bitpanda but at least I am sure I will not get scammed.

Bitcoin sellers should read more about bitcoin, and read all the stickies in the Currency Exchange and Digital Goods section to lower drastically their chances of making errors. Not much other than this can be done.
Both the child and the woman should have been aborted long before the scam took place.  Me, I don't pity dead children any.  They're much better off than the rest of us.
67  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by mwax321 on: September 28, 2016, 04:44:13 AM
Not nice being scammed but PLEASE know that ALL scammers will have a SELF MODERATING thread so they can delete all the bad stuff people say .

NEVER EVER trust a self moderating seller . EVER ! !   No matter what the price . I had a scammer take $1.50 from me ............ yeah only $1.50 and ALL his posts are self moderating .
Well they can't delete the negative feedback they're sure to get.   But I agree, self-moderated threads are the pits.  Gotta be careful round these parts.  This forum used to ban scammers.  I don't think that was such a bad idea.
68  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Have] $30 BTC [Want] $30 PayPal on: September 28, 2016, 04:34:07 AM
I can do USD$7.50 for 0.01242, and I don't mind sending first.  My addy is 1BkiVdyduL1nhEEs7mkB7ZJvBZyQkj2RtB.  Let me know if you're interested.
69  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legalization of Bitcoins on: September 28, 2016, 03:54:34 AM
Bitcoins are legal until a law is passed to make them illegal.
Thank you, I was going to write exactly that.  These responses are like from people who've never stepped away from their computers and gotten out in the real world.  If bitcoin hasn't had a law passed banning it, it's legal.  At least in the US.  You cannot mint your own currency, but that isn't what's happening with bitcoin anyway.  And the IRS and everyone knows about it, and they just haven't passed laws regulating it yet.  Ack.  This is just another topic that baits the worst in bitcointalk.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: U.S Presidential Election || Discussion and odds on: September 28, 2016, 03:50:40 AM
I've a sinking feeling that Trump is going to win this one, and I'm still confused as to how a jackass like him got this far in a presidential race.  The man should have been shot into outer space long ago.  So if I had to put money on this election, there's no way I could underestimate the stupidity of the American people.  My money would be on Trump, and with my winnings I would buy a plane ticket to Canada.  We are so screwed if he gets elected.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling disease on: September 28, 2016, 03:37:08 AM
Gambling's been around probably since the beginning of money.  There were probably cavemen betting with whatever they valued back then, probably crude weapons or something.  It's like a drug, like sex, like eating.  It's all the same to your brain, basically, and that's why people gamble.  If you think you do it to follow some rational path, you're most likely wrong.  Only if you're cheating.
72  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What places do you do your shopping online? on: September 28, 2016, 01:29:40 AM
This is a nice list and all, but really.  I can pick and choose from a much broader list if I shop using fiat, which is more convenient and has more protections in place.  Who would go out of their way to spend their bitcoin...I can't figure out an answer to that question yet.  I have no desire to spend my bitcoin, all of which (except for signature campaign earnings) I've purchased with fiat.  Does that make sense?
73  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You Should Never Sell Your Bitcoins Ever on: September 28, 2016, 01:25:13 AM
I'm tired of selling, and I've sold more bitcoin than I should have.  It's silly, because I'm really a bitcoin bull at heart.  As far as not selling *ever*, there will come a time to sell.  There always will, even if you're a buy and hold investor like W. Buffett.  It's smart to take your profit sometimes, or cut your losses.
74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest way to earn bitcoin on: September 27, 2016, 10:40:03 PM
OP, everything you mentioned has been the subject of a million threads and ten million redundant shit posts.  This is absolutely unnecessary,  and you should lock the topic.  Yes,  trading, faucets,  and sig campaigns will earn you money.   Got it.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MAKE (LEARN & EARN) Signature Campaign on: September 27, 2016, 04:17:06 PM
These rates are lousy, just saying.  But good luck, I'm sure you'll find enough users here who are farming accounts to fill your needs.
76  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a 2.50$ LOAN on: September 27, 2016, 04:14:05 PM
Too long, didn't read.  First page of lending section has a pinned thread on loan rules.  Read them.  I see no valid collateral in your post, so you're not going to get the loan.  Can't you ask family or friends?
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why Bitcoin P2P lending is dead. on: September 27, 2016, 04:01:56 PM
If lenders used Alt coins such as LTC as collateral, I did wonder to myself why not they sell these LTC for Bitcoins? Why go through the hassle of lending and have to return more? Sometimes, there are issues in the crypto world that I cannot figure it out.

I've asked this question a few times and failed to receive a satisfactory answer. It's best to leave them to it. They all must have a mysterious agenda we're not being informed of.

Let's leave this question open to the wiser members in this forum. What is the most legitimate answer you've received so far?
Some people don't want to sell altcoins because they think they'll shoot to the moon.  But apparently no one who borrows here even has any, because altcoins so infrequently get offered up as collateral.   Most of the requests are pure scammage.
78  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Caution: Bitstarz Casino! on: September 27, 2016, 03:35:30 PM
Stay away from this scam site. Won too much BTC off of them and now they disabled my account and not paying anything. They dont want anything to do with me now.
Scammy as $%$%
Was betting 2 BTC per hand on their blackjack table, 2 BTC being the maximum bet. Had a long good winning streak. Next thing you know my account is disabled. They didnt say anything when I lost a few months ago.
Got any proof of this?  I don't doubt it strongly, and I'll take your word for it,  but you have to back up your claims in the world of bitcoin.  None of this really surprises me.
79  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: can we in Africa really successful mining bitcoin. on: September 27, 2016, 03:31:54 PM
I agree with above.  Africa is enormous,  so it depends on which country you're in.  The governments there are completely messed up, from what I gather, and I'm sure that's a huge understatement. If you had the money somehow, of course you could set up a mining rig and mine profitably. I'm not sure how many people in Africa do it right now, but my guess is not that many. All of the mining takes place in China.

Is there anywhere you can spend bitcoin in Africa? I don't have a sense of how popular it is there.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: September 27, 2016, 03:00:09 AM
Bitcoiners are tech geeks, or at least a lot of them are. So geeks like to try out different software and that translates to trying out different wallets. Plus it's always a good idea to spread your money around, since it can get hacked.  I don't use many, and none of them are online wallets.
