Nice story! So was the scammer able to sell his giftcard for more than $450?
That would be better than the $380 he offered to buy from you.

Can't they be sued for fraud? That brings us to the issue of having an international body which all crypto firms must register with, before they can do business. This will keep all of them in check ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

But even if your coins were not lent out, I think the mere fact that you have coins in an exchange that got hacked is enough reason to seek legal action for a refund. ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

New features being added to the blockchain? How so? The blockchain right now isn't any different from how it was years ago. You can exactly do the same with it, however, with the upcoming block size increase you can even add more transactions/data in a single block. The only "downside" will be that the blockchain will grow much faster in size.
Some of the new features being included is the lightning network for faster transactions and anonymity option and the likes.

It is nice to see that England is moving towards digital currency, but I do not see them adopting bitcoins. They like their own privacy.

China has always been a major player in bitcoins, I am not surprised Chinese are dumping their fiat - though it came earlier than I expected.

That's just wishful thinking. 20 years from now, the world of finance as we know it would have changed drastically. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

C-Cex is reliable but its fees are higher than Poloniex, so why go for higher fees when you can get it cheaper?

Neither, he is a man of faith.
A man of faith is an idiot The definition of faith is believing in something without evidence, or contrary to the evidence... this is stupid, don't be an idiot A man of faith is not an idiot. Believing in God is not contrary to evidence, because there is plenty evidence that God exists if you will only look and see. BADecker is not an idiot or a paid troll.

I am very careful on the type of coin I invest in. Don't want to be the one holding the bag when the developer decides to close shop.

As you know, Bter was hacked early last year and you would do well to pay them a personal visit. This might be difficult if you do not live in their country and do not have much funds with them.
Maybe you can form a group and send representatives to them.

Lutpin said his health is being affected and Og threatened to make public his residential address. I think this has gone beyond Og being bitchy, what if OG decides to pay Lutpin a visit along with some of his friends?
Things could get really nasty here.

I still retain my stand that exchanges need to be insured, should a hack occur, the customers will not feel it.
When banks are robbed, customers do not pay for the robbery.

We'll see other poorer countries use them before us most likely.
Why would poorer countries use something they consider expensive? By the time they convert fiat to bitcoins all their income is gone.
