61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.5 (Windows/Linux) on: June 01, 2017, 11:36:32 PM
this version 12.5 freezes alot, i have tried amd driver 12.11, 16.2 and all freezes despite my overclocking not up to the number when using version 12.4.

another problem i noticed in this 12.5 is that; dev fee mine twice sometimes. i use secure connection, whenever dev fee start (72sec) at first mining, it will say connection time out after 72sec and restart dev fee again another 72sec. despite my internet is connected and working fine.

i notice a slice increase in speed of my hd 7770 (overclocking is now 85h/s (before 70h/s) thanks claymore for this. am now getting 170-180h/s with 2x hd7770

we hope next release will be more stable, this version freezes alot.
anyway, thank you Claymore!!!

I have Gigabyte motherboard that has 5 slots for GPU.
Now my question is; can i add extra external pcie adapter with 4 slots to my MOBO to make it 8 slots? will all the 8 GPU work with claymore on one MOBO?

am using windows 7 64bits

here is the link of the external pcei adapter

I've had good luck with flypool (zcash.flypool.org).

thanks, already switched to flypool.

any way to make my shares start from 100 above whenever my system or miner reboot?
i mean total shares always start from lowest to highest when you boot up system or whenever the miner restart. is there a way i can make the total shares start lets say from 100 plus above?

i believe more total shares more money it generate.

Edited:
i noticed that whenever the shares (total shares) gets to 101 i start getting rejected shares from 1 above

i.e.  total shares: 101, rejected: 1

What are you talking about? as soon as you reset the miner the shares start at 0. That doesnt mean that your previous shares doesnt count..  Huh Roll Eyes

i know that... it seems you do not understand my questions.

Undervolting reduces power consumption. You need to fine tune it to get best hash per power spent ratio.
Undervolting usually means hash reduction, but it's ok because it also gives you better electricity consumption, so in the end you are earning more.
If you are not paying for electricity undervolting is not necessary

Actually undervolting your cards is good in all cases where it does not reduce the hash-rate, even with free electricity.

Undervolting will reduce overall power consumption, which in turn will reduce the heat produced (can be an issue even in a dorm room), as well as reduce the needed power capacity of your electrical system. Most free electricity arrangements usually only have minimal circuits to use, so reducing the overall wattage a rig uses will maybe allow for more rigs to be installed.

i really appreciate your answers to my questions.
thank you all.

how do you lower the overall temperature of the work?

For instance open the window.
Yes you can do that, and also some big fans. The best is air conditioning

does undervolting gpu also reduce the gpu temperature?
and if gpu temperature reduce, does also reduce hashrates?
or what is the purpose of undervolting gpu?

my hashrate has dropped from 165h/s to 150h/s

i switched from minergate pool to flypool
i was getting 165h/s on minergate pool, but when i switched to flypool, i started having 150h/s
i switched back to minergate pool and still same 150h/s

what could  be the problem?

If you restart the computer, is that still 150H/s?

I think the driver reset, so i had to increase the clock and got back 165

my fear is that, i don't want my GPU to fry, as i have increase the clocking through the driver to:
temperature: 68c
Fan speed:    70

my hashes increased from 150 - 168
is this normal? or my card at high risk of frying?

At 68 degree, your gpu will be fine.
what is the temperature in the room? you can lower the overall temperature of the work, not only to lower the temperature of the card.

how do you lower the overall temperature of the work?

i think no reward for rejected shares and i think its depends on the pool.
some pool has high rejected shares while some just little or no rejected but main cause is bad network i guess.

due to much difficulties in mining zec, can someone tell me how much $ i can earn with 500h/s from flypool if i get free electricity?

http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/zcash-mining-calculator/?h=500&p=400.00&pc=0&pf=0.00&d=1243868.38654332&r=10.00130107&er=0.05192101&btcer=1890.80000000&hc=0.00

Without taking in to account orphans, future difficulty or ZEC price fluctuations.

thank you.
from $100-$120 per month
