61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I didn't realize all the bans would have this much effect on: April 03, 2018, 08:03:36 AM
I do not think the current dump is caused by banning crypto advertisements. The market is heavily manipulated. The exponential rise in the end of 2017 was unsustainable and those who artificially pumped the market, subsequently crashed it. Now we just have to wait through the winter.

Hm, this projects looks great.

Or maybe they gone weeks ago, and this is only a scam project.
No news, no answer from Febreary.

Now everything points to this project being a scam. The so-called "exchange" is essentially a mock-up, there is no volume there. The developers/admins have been completely silent for more than a month. Or, as I think, there was only one person providing cover here while others have been moving funds and covering up the traces.

Might be a real possibility what you just said here. The fact that they had low volume isn't sufficient proof on its own, but going silent and avoiding any communication could be a sign for scam.

That's true, low volume itself is not an indication. The main problem is that they clearly avoid communication from the end of their ICO and there is no sign of progress.

Is Yobit still a no go or what?

Probably a no go yet. Judging by the price, it's still on the old chain.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy when market is Red on: March 30, 2018, 11:08:27 AM
But the price is still higher than 1 year ago.

Right. And while I am very reluctant to buy now, I would not wait for the price to drop that low.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy when market is Red on: March 30, 2018, 09:04:08 AM
Buying now is probably not a good idea. The whole cryptocurrency market is in a downtrend which may last for months. I have a feeling that tomorrow (or after a week) one will be able to buy cheaper than today.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin will rise up again ? on: March 29, 2018, 08:47:07 AM
I think eventually it will, but not this year. We are in a bear market which will last for months. I'm not going to predict the bottom, but I'm sure bitcoin will not disappear. However, I'm almost equally sure that there will be no new ATH in 2018. I would be happy if on December 31st the price stays above $10k.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tangerine (Ex-Mandarin) - Democratic Cryptocurrency Exchange on: March 29, 2018, 08:13:59 AM
probably dead, no development, marketing.Nothing,I hope I'm wrong

It has been too long. Either the developers are deliberately doing this, trying to buy more time for hiding the funds (and themselves) or most of them have run away with the money right after the ICO and there remains one or two trying to do something.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $ 100,000 will be in 2018? on: March 28, 2018, 01:53:52 PM
No, I think you should remove one zero. Looking at the market now, $10k or $15k at the end of 2018 would be good. 2019 may be a different story, however.

You think we should remove. Maybe for end of this year we might see this 15k to be maxed price but believe that next one will bring some new ATH for many coins not just bitcoin. Last price was in 2013 four year passed and we saw in 2017 now believe we will see in 2019 something similar if not the same. This year will be stability more rather then price increase.

Yes, there may be a new ATH in 2019, I would not be surprised by it in the slightest. This year will be either boring (going sideways for months, and this is a good scenario) or bearish.

Of course, it too has the huge expectation on Bitcoin because already we have seen some drastic growth in the year 2017. In this coming months or in the next year we might see new ATH price for Bitcoin. But Op is expecting too much in short period of time.

Right. Reaching $100k in 2018 would mean 100x price increase in 2 years (2017-2018). I do not think this is possible.

72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FIAT / Crypto flippening? on: March 28, 2018, 09:31:00 AM
You mean trading volume, right? I agree, it will take years, probably at least a decade, to happen, if it will happen. Bitcoin is not suitable for day-to-day applications, but Lighting Network can change this.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rootstock (RSK) - Smart Contracts for Bitcoin on: March 28, 2018, 09:16:50 AM
Looks like it uses the same Solidity language that is used in Ethereum. Having compatibility is very good, not sure about the language itself...
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it worth buying bitcoin now ? on: March 27, 2018, 07:06:38 PM
While bitcoin is certainly not dead and I am optimistic about its price in the long term, i am not sure that now it is a good time to buy. Two short rallies in this year turned out to be bull traps, recently bitcoin twice failed to break $12k and we probably are in a bear market which may last for months. It may drop further.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tangerine (Ex-Mandarin) - Democratic Cryptocurrency Exchange on: March 26, 2018, 09:54:21 AM
Do I understand correctly that we are talking about this company:
https://cryptototem.com/ico-mandarin-mnt/
or is it another Mandarin ?
a unique name, I do not think that the coincidence

Yes, it's definitely the same project. The slogans are identical.

At the exchange the single buy order for TNG has disappeared. Nobody wants them. Almost no trades, chat is silent for weeks. The project is essentially dead.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: March 23, 2018, 08:45:14 AM
I doubt they have such potential. Bitcoin and regular currencies will exist in parallel. National currencies are too important for the existing economies to disappear. Banks and other financial institutions, and governments may (an probably will) use the blockchain technology, however.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Beginning of luck in 2018 on: March 22, 2018, 09:34:22 AM
I think we are just going to enter bull markets after very long lasting and painful bear market that ruled us for 3 months or something. After that I expect bitcoin to return back at $15000 level and minimum.

You think 3 months is very long? Currently there is no indication of the end of the bear market, it may easily last for the whole 2018.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Tangerine (Ex-Mandarin) - Democratic Cryptocurrency Exchange on: March 22, 2018, 09:19:25 AM
The real problem here is, team isn't sharing everything openly with people who want to see this project successful and have invested in it. They aren't keeping their own roadmap as time to time they throw some updates to let the time pass and then forget about what they have said. If it was possible to sell TNG easily many people would have gone already.

Right. The team is so silent and secretive that I still have doubts about this project. It may be nothing more than an elaborate scam and no more development will be seen. Or it may be not, but in this case it is extremely unprofessional and probably has no future at such a competitive field.

So far it seems to me that most of the devs jumped the ship and gave up. Probably its only 1-2 people now trying to make it work  with their limited ressources while hidding the situation from the community to not scare them away fully...

It's also possible. The project was not a planned scam from the very beginning, but after the ICO most of the team preferred to disappear with the newly acquired riches...

At first TNG token needs to be listed on reputable exchanges to have volume in order to get listed on coinmarketcap.

I really doubt TNG can reach the volume needed for listing on coinmarketcap. There is a single buy order for slightly more than 100 TNG on the Tangerine exchange and it it's been hanging there unfulfilled for weeks. Nobody wants to trade this token.
