61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 1st timer - Help cashing out from bitcoin wallet. on: July 09, 2017, 01:32:07 PM
Hey, so I am using "Bitcoin Wallet" app and nowhere on it does it say how to exchange it for USD (either by bank wire, or some other method).  Can anyone help me? Yes, I do have bitcoin in there.

Thank you
If you are wanting to exchange Bitcoin into real cash, you can also use a third party to exchange or maybe you can find exchangers in your country to sell your Bitcoin for your local currency.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: July 08, 2017, 02:09:08 PM
http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/bitcoin-millionaire-erik-finman-says-going-to-college-isnt-worth-it.html

Have you heard of the story of a 12 year old kid who wagered with his mom that if he will be a millionaire at age 18 he will not go to college. To his mothers surprise he is now a millionaire and never went to college. His secret he bought bitcoin at 12$ with a 1000 $ gift from his grandmother.

If we also dream of getting rich in the future it is now time to invest in bitcoins. Many said that we will be experiencing bubbles more often, that is true but we have survived it and still bitcoin keeps moving on.

If we want to get rich invest in bitcoins today. The price of bitcoin today is at 2600$ and moving up but imagine its value 5 to 10 years from now.
It's a cool idea but making million dollars with Bitcoin nowaday is not really easy as Bitcoin price is already high at this moment so that we must think more about this.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: July 08, 2017, 01:57:12 PM
I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me
In my opinion, Bitcoin is not supported in some countries is that their governments don't want to risk their countries just because of an e-currency, they can not predict what would happen if they start to accept Bitcoin.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What fee managment methods do you know? on: July 08, 2017, 01:49:59 PM
First, a little bit of theory. Bitcoin fees are measured it satoshi/byte, because transactions have different sizes in bytes. The size is determined by the number of input and output addresses. Every input address adds 180 bytes, while every output adds 34 bytes. Now, about methods.

Address reuse. You can read here why it's bad. On the plus side, if you receive Bitcoins to one address, it also means that you spend Bitcoin from one address.
On practice it would look like this: you accept coins to address A, than you make a spending and the rest of your coins is moved to your new address B, which becomes your new address for accepting coins. With this method you'll have transactions with a size of 224 bytes.
In comparison, if you use a new address for every new incoming transaction, your coins will be spread among many addresses, and when you'll need to send coins from multiple addresses, you'll have a big 1+ kB transaction.

Pay to multiple addresses at once. This is a method used by some exchanges, casinos and other services. You need to wait until you need to make multiple spendings and pay them in one transaction. This transaction will be slightly bigger, but you'll save a bigger amount by effectively cutting outputs.

That's all from me. What other methods do you know and use?
I usually use this method:
Use low fee (replacable) when sending Bitcoin if I don't need to hurry
When I see no confirmations after a long time, I send a little fees to that transactions.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people start up new cryptocurrencies? on: July 07, 2017, 01:30:57 PM
I believe that people start up cyrptocurrencies because they either want to make some money or maybe experiment with the internet. It's basically like when a scientist test run a new gadget. It still is amazing how these cryptocurrencies live though. What do you think?
It's not only about money, just like the life, everything needs to be updated, people need to update things they already have for a better life, you know Smiley
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is digital gold, what will be the digital "dollar"? on: July 07, 2017, 01:24:34 PM
I'm sure there's a new thread every day asking which Alt-Coin is going to be the most profitable and what you should invest in today. That's all fine, I'm interested in that too. Today however I'd like to cast a wider net.
As a n0ob with cryptocurrencies, I'm convinced I'll make some errors and I'm sure there are things that I've misunderstood; Feel free to correct my if I mess things up.
From what I've seen, Bitcoin is without a doubt the dominant cryptocurrency out there. Bitcoin is also fairly slow and resource hungry. Bitcoin also has a cap at 21MBTC.
Could it be that Bitcoin will become the equivalent of digital gold?
Everyone recognizes gold as very valuable but it's not used for everyday transactions.
I've seen people describing LiteCoin and Etherium as digital "silver" if BTC is the digital gold.
But silver isn't used in everyday transactions either.
Is there a cryptocurrency out there that has what it takes to become the "digital dollar"? A cryptocurrency suitable for everyday transactions...
What makes it/them suitable?

IMHO the concept is a bit awkward.
The Dollar (and any other Fiat currency out there) is constantly being diluted with freshly printed Fiat, and that is the exact opposite of what we want from a cryptocurrency.
But if a currency only has a fixed amount of units, it'll be in a perpetual deflationary state, that's not necessarily a positive thing either.
So basically, "digital dollars" will be some kind of crypto currencies that are optimized for micro payments with no fees or a really small fees (just like dollars) so that I don't think there is any kind of coin like that in this moment./
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do people sell ICO coins before release? on: July 07, 2017, 01:22:21 PM
Several times I have seen ICO coins been sold at really high prices on exchanges, however I see this happening before they coins are even possible to deposit to an exchange. How is this possible? For example right now Zrcoin is being traded on HITBTC, but I can't deposit my coins that I got in the ICO because on the deposit page there is a message: "Please note that ZRC is an IOU for future issued token. Until the blockchain is released withdrawals and deposits are unavailable. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience."
How can it be traded when it is not possible to deposit the coin?
They are trading IOU, "IOU market is about trading coins purchased by traders in the ICO and that so far have no own network" https://liqui.io/IOU
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to the bitcoin on: July 07, 2017, 01:14:47 PM
Hi, I am new to the bitcoin and other currencies. Truthfully, bitcoin is not in my reach as it is expensive but I have heard about another currency ONECOIN whose rates are in my reach. Please let me know that ONCCOIN is reliable to buy or it is risk taking?
You are not forced to but the whole Bitcoin worth 2600$ at this moment, if you have 26$, you can still buy an amount of Bitcoin and start using that Bitcoin to do whatever you want to do with them.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: July 07, 2017, 01:13:01 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
I do believe in Altcoins in the future, the question about their usages is going to be answered by developers all over the world, they are doing their best to bring crypto currencies to users and our lives, real lives.
70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where can i buy bitcoins? on: July 07, 2017, 01:07:09 PM

I don't know exactly way to buy Bitcoin but if you are looking for an easy way to buy Bitcoin whatever country you are from, you can find some Bitcoin related groups/ forums in your country and find some exchangers, they can help you with this issue
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is big blocks bad? on: July 07, 2017, 12:56:38 PM
What is Core's excuse to avoid increasing bitcoin block size to 2mb?
Just imagine when the miners a mining a small rock then they suddently have to mine a really big rock, they will we stuck there for a long time that cause the chain stop.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: July 07, 2017, 12:55:04 PM
Bitcoin is certainly better than gold. I had earlier read an article somewhere where they say that if you had invested 10grand in bitcoin and gold simultaneously in 2010, the btc investment would be worth $200m today while your gold investment would be standing at $9900. It's therefore a no brainer as to which asset is more valuable.
In terms of investment, there is no doubt that bitcoin is the best investment because of its continuous rapid growth in all aspects like community and also in the price so if you have patience to wait at least 10 years then you can make a lot of money with bitcoin by just simply investing in bitcoin and keeping it on a safe place for a few years from now.
I agree with you, Bitcoin is not standing in one place, it can also be used like a currency to pay for things online so that its usages make its price keep changing which enable Bitcoin investors to have chance to make profits with Bitcoin.
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: July 05, 2017, 12:55:05 PM
Since bitcoin is trending now world wide because you can easily earn this and it exchange in real cash. Is bitcoin the new value of currency in the internet? Is he the new money? Can we use it in buying foods and etc in the future?
Yes ofcourse we can use Bitcoin for that because Bitcoin is money but I don't think buying foods or something like that will not be so common because of Bitcoin fess and long time confirmations, it's not suitable for that kind of payments.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crime funded by bitcoin on: July 05, 2017, 12:46:04 PM
Since Bitcoin was ever released, I've thought of the possibility of this. Will crimes be easily funded now due to bitcoin and it's anonymity? How do you think the authorities will combat this? Will this lead to a decline in the price of bitcoin? I've had this on my mind for a while now and I would like to hear your guys opinions.
Yeah it has been common recently and it is really one reason that Bitocin became so famouse. It's also a reason why some countries do not want to legalize Bitcoin, they don't want to risk their countries.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: July 04, 2017, 02:20:57 PM
Guys I know that there are previous posts and polls regarding the highly suggested source of bitcoin but things always change do I want to know what is the current best source of bitcoin nowadays. Please participate on this poll and kindly tell us why that's your choice. Thanks in advance and God bless us more Wink
In my opinion, As the grown of crypto currencies now, trading is a good source of Bitcoin earning, it is also the most used way. And using skills and joining Bitcointalk Campaigns is also easy to earn Bitcoin nowaday.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy more bitcoin or wait for August 1st? on: July 04, 2017, 02:18:46 PM
So my initial plan was to invest more into bitcoin on a weekly basis but with the possibility of a split on August 1st I figured I'd wait a little. If there would be a split, there would certainly be a drop in price so maybe a good opportunity to pick some more up rather than doing it now. Normally I tend to make these kind of decisions for myself but since I don't fully understand what will happen August 1st I figured this would be the best place to ask.
It depends on how you think about this time but in my opinion, I think Bitocin price will grow up so that we should buy Bitcoin before August and this moment is a good chance to buy Bitcoin as its price is so low now.
77  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you give bitcoin as a wedding gift? on: July 04, 2017, 02:15:01 PM
Quote
Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/would-you-give-bitcoin-as-a-wedding-gift-2017-06-27
Giving Bitocin as a wedding gift is a good idea but I think we should make it as a second gift because if we give only Bitcoin, it's just like we are celebrating them with money. Anyway, it's a good idea, not only we can celebrate them but also we can give them chances to use Bitcoin.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: July 04, 2017, 02:12:01 PM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?

I think the biggest cause of Bitcoin death is government. When Bitcoin is involved in many illegal activities, the government will not let it work anymore. Besides, the simpler cause is that the Bitcoin organization stops providing and exploiting Bitcoin.
All the above causes are hypotheses. I believe that Bitcoin is not so easy to die
I don't think the governments can make Bitcoin die. In the first moment, Bitcoin was made to work without any dependence so that without any government's permision, Bitcoin will still alive.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next Milestone for bitcoin?? on: July 04, 2017, 02:09:05 PM
As we see bitcoin start rising again what you predict about bitcoin's price by the end of 2017?? I predict bitcoin's price will be in between 3200$ to 3300$ by the end of this year.
First of all, that's not Bitcoin's milestone, that's our milestone.
So the highest Bitcoin price was 2800$, after this segwit2x, its price should grow up 20% to 3000$, at the end of this year, I think its price can reach 3200$ Smiley
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: July 02, 2017, 04:32:19 PM
I don't think so this will happen that cryptocurrencies make fiat useless or disappear, the reason is no country want a cuurency on which they have no control so they work together no one will gonna repalce each other.
So they will start t work on some crypto currencies that they can control, somehow, maybe in secretary. If they can solve the problems of uncontrolable, of course they will accept crypto currencies as money and then, real cash may disappear.
