I know, just need more confirmations. friend who are new to bitcoin is very firm in his opinion that he has struck a very good deal.
we need a word for that, bitcoin blindness?

What are the reasons that made him believe he has struck a very good deal?

I used the wrong word, i think its more about not wanting to feel the humiliation of having made a obvious wrong move.

65  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Best hardware seller on: March 01, 2014, 06:44:39 PM
Asking for advice here will only profit you if you determine what the crowd thinks, then do the math to understand why it will lose money and then take your own counsel to find a profitable path from what you have learned.

Dogie, for example is a fly by night seller of used hardware out of his dorm room.  Any mining he does is because he is stuck with over-priced crap he couldn't pawn off on an unsuspecting victim.  And he is a paragon of integrity when compared to many of the other suppliers and retailers of ASICs.  Everyone lies, especially about schedule, and once they have your money you will NEVER hear from them again.

When you get your hardware is everything, because the first 45 days of operation will be more profitable than the remaining life of the hardware.

The only way to profit from mining at this point in time is if Bitcoin rises in price.  And if it falls you will be very screwed.  Better to have BTC in your pocket that can be sold when prices go up, than the promise of a machine that will make bitcoin at some future date when bitcoin might have gone back down again.

this guy got much truthiness

Has anyone been able to get a BTC refund for a single Neptune? I even suggested ordering another unit and immediately asking refund on both, if they only refund multiple unit cancellations in BTC. They categorigally refused. Embarrassed

My experience shows that only orders bought with BTC is refunded in BTC. of my 4 orders i got refunded in BTC for 2 orders i paid in BTC.

They replied to me.....

"Refund will only be processed in USD.
In order to process your refund we would need for you to provide us with the details as listed below. "

I got the same reply, then after i sent my bank info i got this:

"Your orders xxxxx and xxxxx have been cancelled and will be refunded shortly.
Could you please also provide us with bitcoin wallet, as the other two orders might be refunded in BTC."

Those "other two orders" are orders paid in BTC, rest in fiat. I cross my fingers for BTC refund as it only "might" be refunded in BTC whatever that means.

Knc is mining your refund right now. The "might" part is to account for variance.  Smiley

After you get refund..

I bet if you give us the refunded bitcoins trail.. sherlocks in here can point out how they were mined in Eligius. Shiny new minted coins.

Not a dumb idea  Grin

Intron and cscape does bitfury design. As i understand you need to buy the design and work with a factory yourself.

Guy’s

I got lucky and received my miner in advance.
What I can tell you it rocks! As you can see it works stable with almost zero HW errors and low reject rate. I am sure I can push it little bit forward. More details + pictures power at the wall later.
The screen shot is from my i386 PC. I will move it to my tplink farm and give you some shots of it with a short details about options.

Nice, you got a picture of it?

Frå dn.no:
http://www.dn.no/forsiden/naringsliv/article2752794.ece

Any idea of price per GH/s?

I am trying to decide to wait for you, or order through KnC.

If you are ok with discarding your KNC product in a couple of months after purchase, then go for it.
