Poloniex exchange & Cryptocurrency Market Manipulation Pure factsFact M1. XDN deposits on Poloniex were "frozen" with no explicable reason and with no explanation for about 2 months. Proof from the page 63 First message about Poloniex deposits here - October 9, 2016: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1082745.msg16504779#msg16504779Fact M1.1. XDN deposits were frozen by Poloniex admins determination with NO technical reason behind that decision. There were NO changes in XDN API in that period if Poloniex successfully processed XDN deposits before October 2016, There was NO reason to stop it in October. XDN Seed nodes count is always more than 5 and Poloniex has a long XDN peerlist from any XDN version they used. Fact M2. There was ONLY Poloniex XDN service interruption. For almost 2 months. Fact M2.1. There were NO service interruptions in other XDN exchanges in that period: HitBTC.com and Bittrex.com https://hitbtc.com/exchange/XDN-to-BTC worked correctly https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XDN worked correctly Let me correct you on this. In the period seen in page 63 Bittrex didn't allow any money (XDN) transfer, they said to me that the XDN chain was having issues and the wallet was put offline. However, the problem was solved in a day or two. |

I've got a problem with the latest version of graphical XDN wallet for OSx.
Everytime I try to open it doesn't.
My current OSx version is 10.12.1
I was suggested "logs". I'm not familiar with this kind of things.
What exactly I have to do to fix this problem?

Hi Gianni, Do you see an error message when you attempt to start the GUI? Hi Starmman, I don't see any error. Basically, when I click on XDN app, it says "loading blockchain" and after a few seconds the app disappears. This started to happen after I downloaded the newest wallet. Check the log file - for Mac it should be found under ~/Library/Application Support/XDN/ or ~/Library/Application Support/DigitalNote/ or something similar (I don't run a XDN wallet, or a mac myself, so not 100% sure of the directory) https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory#MacThe usual procedure when upgrading a wallet is to backup the wallet.dat file, and remove everything EXCEPT the wallet.dat from your folder - be very careful you keep a copy of the wallet.dat as you can lose all your coins if you lose or delete it.It's not even present on~/Library/Application Support/DigitalNote/. I tried on another mac that has never had XDN wallet on. I went to the official website and downloaded the new wallet on my friend's mac and it appears the same problem. It crashes after a few seconds that you click on to open. On this other mac too the XDN app is not present on library. Considering that my mac was working fine with the previous XDN wallet... I now wonder if this is a case of not compatibility between the newest XDN wallet and and the latest macOS version?! You probably need to let the wallet finish syncing in the background. I have seen this happen with other cryptocurrencies as well when loading a new copy of the blockchain. It can take a day or two. Well, I doubt that is the case. I checked the activity monitor on my mac and when XDN wallet crashes, it disappear from AM too. If you think that even if it crashes it keeps syncing in the background, well, with my mac the sync takes only a few hours, not a day or two. Since I'm having this problem for a couple of weeks or so, I guess this is not the case. I'll find some other solutions, though. BTW what ShapeShift answered you concerning XDN? |

yes that was my question too. monero devs didnt said anything about the merged mining!!!!
Yes, we should tell them, and we should tell to Monero community! But this info is urgently important to the current pools, not other coins itself. There is no change in Monero, there are major changes in FCN and XDN. Then can you clarify this because it looks a bit of an oxymoron. Just a few posts ago Papa_Lazzarou wrote: "How will you convince all those monero miners to switch to merge mining monero+xnd? With the 0.03BTC worth of daily emission?" DNote replied:"Because it is free for them. They will have a deal: to help XDN with no cost for them and to receive few satoshi every 4 min OR not to do that and not receive few satoshi every 4 min" From the conversation above it looked like it was important the participation of monero miners in the merged mining, to increase the hashrate of both XDN and FCN. But now it doesn't matter if miners miners don't know about the merged mining? |

@Dev today is the day, right? XDN hardfork source code will be released right after FCN hardfork. FCN hardfork will be on the block height 1297000, now we are on 1296417, so expect XDN HF source code in about 24-48 hours and XDN hf in about 72h after that. I may be wrong but I think Monero devs haven't announced anything about the merged mining XDN + XMR, and FCN + XMR on their main thread, here, on bitcointalk. If I'm correct, I don't know how productive this news (merged mining) could be if monero users are unaware of it?! I think a good idea could be to contact your Monero colleagues and talk about it. Last thing, I know this forum has became the "official" forum of XDN, but there are some people that have written on XDN forum from XDN website that are waiting for an answer from one of you devs. Regards |

Here it is my new problem.
I tried to move a relatively huge amount of money from an exchange wallet into my XDN wallet.
On the exchange wallet, the withdrawal was completed and the address where to move the coins to was/is correct.
However, on my XDN wallet there is no what so ever trace of those coins.
Any solutions?
the exchange should have given you a transaction ID for the withdraw. you can look up in a block explorer. http://chainradar.com/xdn/blocksIt's absent there. And I wonder why? |

DigitalNote stopped to bleeding and Monero's price is still going down. Interesting!  I was checking the correlation of the two currencies and XDN seems to be faring much better right now. I would have expected XDN to be down to around 18-19 sat right now - but still sitting at 24. Looks like its proving to be pretty resilient. XDN is still building its base for a promising future. Nevertheless the coin is proving us to be pretty stable despite the bad moments. The phase has showed that Monero is in a shaking ground. Hopefully after this, people should wake up and figure what was all that pump Monero had in recent past, and look to another more reliable cryptocurrency such as XDN. XDN has an intersting technology its devs are implementing to it, plus its price is so low which is an invitation to invest to it. I don't understand why people don't take advantage of XDN now before it gets too late.  |

this is sooo on point. devs need to get out there and let people know XDN is a thing. otherwise this coin will never be worth more than 35 or 40 sats. iv have been following XDN for almost 2 years and devs have done nothing in terms of marketing. you guys need to do it yourself or pay someone to do it for you. people will soon leave this coin for better marketed ones. please PLEASE do something.
We cannot expect the devs to do marketing , it is enough that they do development almost for free. What i think will be needed is an investor willing to spend a lot of money on this buying up a large share and market it, i am personally not willing to do that since i need my savings for starting a business. What do you mean we cannot expect the devs to do marketing? I don't know who but someone from the XDN group (devs or founder) has to do it, like is happening with the other altcoins. I firmly believe that is also in the interest of the XDN team to do marketing. Why? They work hard for a project no one will know about it nor will use it and cant make some money out of it. It's not a very intelligent thing to do. It's a big waste. Which investor would be willing to spend a large amount of money for a group of people he doesn't know? For instance who are the devs and founders? What's their background? What was their biggest achievement? What's their aim? How many people/devs work in this project? Do they have a deadline? How many hours per week do they work on this project? How much they are reliable? etc What they can do, though, it's to look for someone (and this requires some publicity) who knows something about marketing who really believes in XDN, and is willing to do marketing for them, gaining some XDN coins for free, and that eventually through marketing made by him/her the XDN price will grow in value and that would be their salary for the job. |

You haven't even posted a Youtube video that addresses what is XDN, its features and why it is better than other altcoins.
See, even if we start marketing on your behalf (for our own decision) our efforts would be useless, because all the people we try to contact, will look deep into XDN before putting their money and they will find almost nothing.
Hardly people will leave a coin (with its advantages and disadvantages) they know for something not known coupled with a poor marketing.
The devs can work as hard as they can and they can even develop the most technological features that can ever be conceived from human mind, but as long as there is no marketing, all their efforts, time, and money would be a waste.
I believe that is in your and our interest that you also need to focus on marketing seriously if we wanna give a bright future to this coin.
I and other users will help you to widespread the XDN to other forums for people awareness. However everything has to start from you guys and need to be constant with it.

Perhaps there can be a more private and formal channel where keen members are willing to contribute to the success of XDN. For a start, there is a need to get into Yobit and Shapeshift That's matter of capital I think. All the altcoins there have a higher capital than XDN Poor marketing = low capital = no shapeshift no Yobit |

it takes max two hours to clone a "next generation" coin. or did you add any new features?
We are working on a coin mixing service as we feel true anonymity is paramount within a cryptocurrency. No, it was not added into the initial source code as it is still a ways off. We are also starting to work on a second generation light weight wallet. The coin is very fast as our intent was to make a coin so you could walk into Starbucks and buy some coffee within a minute. You have to start somewhere right? So, after two years what is the situation with anonymity? What progress did you make? Not doing anonymous transaction as far as I'm aware, trying to get it mainstream and anonymous transactions may put ppl off Whats the story with the thread title? A professional crypto launching @ 7pm? It's Digibyte. Two years ago. I took a quote from page 5 and post a comment. The founder said he understood the important of anonymity for digital currencies I thought he would have done something by now. |
