I foresaw provenance being a big deal with crypto coins.
1. I have all of the correspondence with any deal I've made on this forum and others. 2. I have most of the envelopes / boxes the coins were shipped to me in. 3. I recorded on the box The Forum member I purchased the coins from, the coins, the serial number of the coins, the amount I paid in Bitcoin and translated into u.s. dollars. 4. And most importantly I left feedback with the reference to the original listing of where I purchased them.
I'm thinking about putting a list of the coins I own on this forum with all the details on the coin such as a description of the coin, funded or unfunded, who I bought the coins from with reference link if applicable, the date purchased, and pictures of the coins and COA's and such. All this to prove provenance and the validity of my collection.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychology_of_collectingSome people collect stuff that is never opened, for example people buy boxes of baseball cards and never open them or the packs. I can respect that. People are different, that's all. Cheers [/quote] This is very true, I have boxes of coins nerver opened. My 2006 silver eagle anniversary sets are one such set that can not be graded as such if it has been opened. My free coin from Smoothie is unopened. Some coins carry a high premium in unopened packages. I also keep the packaging and any correspondence to prove provenance which greatly adds value.

The coins look to be in great condition for their age, are they still valid currency?
After a little bit of research, it seems that after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1993 the coins were taken out of circulation and were no longer accepted as currency within Russia. If they are as rare as the seller suggests, then the face value of the coin is irrelevant as you'd never trade it in on that basis anyway. I will say that the sellers price is very fair and appropriately graded. He did not say they were rare, only that they are a great set of coins to have in a collection in that condition, which I agree. A rare verity would be a 1967 with 1966 edge or 1976 with 1975 edge.

I would like to say thank you for such a great encyclopedia and for all the time and effort put forth by you and the others to make such a book possible. Also thank you to the coin manufacturers who participated in the autographed editions.
