Well yes I can give you a summary but not of ETC hardfork because that doesn't exist. ETC is a hardfork of ETH and the misconception that has been floating around lately is that ETC will hardfork next week but that is not true. What is happening is an upgrade to the current policy which will in turn reduce block rewards. That is the jist of it, but by no means is this a hardfork! Isnt ETH hardfork from ETC?  |

Never looked at Sia coin before, just did.
Being the IT engineer working on Storage and backend infrastructure, I know that today we do not have true cloud computing. Amazon, Microsoft, and others are providing "cloud" solution, which really is a hosted environment that allows you to access from internet. Instead of you managing said hardware you are paying someone else to manage, that's it. These environment simply allows you to access said infrastructure via internet which is hosted traditionally on one location/device (users pay more redundancy and availability but still it is not a cloud) and is simply hosted environment, there is not even a guarantee that the data is safe or backed up or can be recovered.
These guys at Sia have truly created cloud storage.
This by no means to say that Sia coin as a crypto will succeed or not, but simply stating that sia did create a true cloud storage.
File once on cloud stays on cloud. It does not disappear and can be accessed from anywhere.

Can someone help me??? I'm trying to purchase ETC. I have gone into Poloniex and tried to buy ETH it will not give me an address...It just shows Generating...I never get my address. It's just stuck...I can click on others and they pop right up. Please be kind..I'm an old lady...and have only been in this world for about 6 months! Thank you for any help!
Sometimes happens to me too, but when i resfresh the page with F5 it usually fixes it for me. and you also just said that you tried to purchase etc and right after that you mention eth :confused: Yes...I have to move it from Coinbase (ETH) over to Poloniex ETH and then from ETH to ETC... When trying to move from Coinbase ETH to Poloniex... I click on "deposit" ETH in poloniex and that's when I get Generating. I have clicked refresh but doesn't do anything. I will try with the F5 key. Thank you! oh okay, hope that resolves your issue, maybe clearing browser cache or cookies could help, but usually f5 does the trick, i just tested and everything works fine for me |
