61  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 1 transaction - 1 block ? on: May 19, 2017, 03:38:30 PM
this block was mined in only 12 seconds, this can happen if two blocks are solved on top of each other in a short amount of time, with not much time for new transactions to be broadcasted

Hello friends,

I have 5X Sapphire nitro rx480 4gb on win 8 , the latest driver 16.12.2 , no overclock no bios mod.
When start ,all cards run at 220 h/s but after 5 min slowdown to 170-180 h/s.
I try few combinations 1395/2195   , 1306/1900  but no result.The people report 240-250 h/s for those cards.
Can you help me please with proper settings and driver version.

Thank you very much !

that's called thermal throttling, when your cards reach high temps the clock speeds goes down to prevent damaging your gpu

increase max rpm to 3000 in trixx or watttool
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.1 on: December 10, 2016, 11:05:08 AM
I've tested  the v9.1 but I prefer the v9.0 version. With v9.1 I lose around 12 15 sol per card.

For me v8 worked fine on 6 RX 470 8gb . On 9 I could not make it work. It crashed after a few minutes or max an hour. (tried what was suggested around here and it crashed ) (have a 1200w PSU)
After a few tests on v 9 and then Claymore for ETH I found that a GPU just made the system crash each time .... even tho everything worked fine on v 8. After removing all cards except the one that made the system crash..I then changed the cables...riser and mined only with it on v8 v9 and ETH - on ETH and v9 it crashed each time so now I'm 100% sure that GPU was at fault .

No idea why..but I'll prob return that GPU. All cards were stock (new) and no changes in Trixx.
Anybody had something like this happen ?

On 5 cards and v9 the system looks stable and I'm getting same performance like with 6 on v8

Also...I see drivers 15.12 suggested . Can't find a valid download link for Win 10 x64. A valid link to download ?

one of my RX 480s does not support v9 either

i'm using -di to disable it and using it for dual mining ETH + SIA
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.1 on: December 10, 2016, 11:02:22 AM
v9.1

ZecMiner64.exe -mport 0 -zpool ssl://asia1-zcash.flypool.org:3443 -zwal t1xxxx.worker -zpsw x -i 8 -dbg -1

ZEC: Stratum - connecting to 'asia1-zcash.flypool.org' <209.58.164.95> port 3443 (SSL/TLS)
Cannot establish SSL/TLS connection
ZEC: Stratum - Cannot connect to asia1-zcash.flypool.org:3443
ZEC: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec...
GPU0 t=30C fan=0%, GPU1 t=29C fan=0%, GPU2 t=22C fan=64%

Am I doing something wrong?

STILL CANT CONNECT SSL.

9.1 can't connect using SSL to flypool servers (tried all servers), so I have to use non-encrypted connection.

BUT, DevFee defaults to SSL, and when DevFee can't connect, my rig stops mining in the middle of the night!!

Can someone please help?

@ocminer, can't connect to suprnova with SSL. Any help?

I just tried your config.. Works fine!?

ZEC: Stratum - connecting to 'asia1-zcash.flypool.org' <209.58.164.95> port 3443 (SSL/TLS)
SSL/TLS encryption is enabled
ZEC: Stratum - Connected (asia1-zcash.flypool.org:3443) (SSL/TLS)
ZEC: Authorized
Pool sets new share target: 0x0020c49b (diff: 2000H)
ZEC: 12/10/16-00:19:11 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 1)
ZEC: Share accepted (219 ms)!
ZEC: 12/10/16-00:19:12 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 3)
ZEC: Share accepted (219 ms)!

Still no luck. I'm forced to use -r 20 to make sure the miner restarts and continues mining. I prefer the short interruptions to having the DevFee cause the miner to stop entirely because it can't connect on SSL.

I'm out of ideas on how to troubleshoot why I can't connect using SSL...

use -zpool ssl://zec.suprnova.cc:2242 it should work for suprnova

for flypool add ssl:// to address
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.1 on: December 09, 2016, 09:56:09 PM
rejects are caused by the pool not the miner

i'm on ssl://zec.suprnova.cc 0.1-0.2% rejects like without ssl

I need advice about pool, at the moment we are mining on coinmine.pl, all online calculators are saying that I should get 6.6 zec a day, but I got only half of it, I'm aware that this is the mater of many factors, but I know that something is wrong, your advice would be much appreciated
dwarfpool.............read my earlier post about it Wink
You posted that coinmine.pl paid for 830h/s and dwarfpool paid for 1100h/s when you rigs avg was 1080h/s. It means I should switch to it right ? sorry for obvious questions but I'm sleepy as hell been awaky ~28 hrs

I tried every pool out there and zec.suprnova.cc was the only one paying exactly what calculators say. Furthermore ocminer is all the day around here replying to questions and improving his pools, i prefer a pool maintained  by a miner than a pool maintained by some guy replying 7 days later (if ever they reply)

@rozsada try the 16.9 drivers. How many watts is your PSU?

@mettalmag yes, dwarfpool is paying me roughly the same as Claymore miner says

you probably mean dwarfpool displays roughly the same hashrate as Claymore miner says? actually it displays 15% - 20% higher hashrate and pays 50% less than what calculators say

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v8.0 on: December 07, 2016, 01:14:22 PM
Looks like a new Nvidia miner is out.
1070 @ 250
1080 @ 300

Nvidia people are starting to catch up.

@adaseb which miner is that? thanks
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 23, 2016, 01:20:22 PM
Claymore please add the count of rejected shares returned by each gpu like in your dual miner

thanks
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 22, 2016, 12:37:03 PM
Does anyone know average H/s & power draw for stock R9 380 4Gb? Miner ver 7.0 ofc.
I found some used ones on sale for cheap, so considering to buy.
Thanks

21 MH/s on ethash and 110 H/s on equihash, so ethash is much more profitable for this card

with this modded bios it goes up to 24 MH/s:

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 19, 2016, 09:45:59 AM
I would underclock and undervolt otherwise, but I doubt the card would pull 166 sols.

The card most certainly does > 165 sols/s with 1400 GPU speed. Tested on all 5 of my cards and they all hit those figures.

what voltage do you use for 1400 Gpu speed?

thanks
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 14, 2016, 08:01:51 PM
Should bounce from here. Very low risk/High Reward trade.

Thank you, bro. I've lost 20% today Smiley

After seing his post I went to see the definiton of the bull flag: It's the other way round when the waves are going up, whille the zec waves aregoing down => It should continue falling (probably very fast from here, confidence is gone after support on 130 was lost but I'm not an analyst, just my opinion)

Adaseb is famous for not knowing how to interpret numbers. I remember his screenshot claiming he got something like 8000 Sol/s on his old bone of GPU with some early Genoil miner in the early days after the launch. Therefore good luck with his trading advice.

I dump any ZEC i mine instantly since the launch, when the price dropped below 0.16 i though to stop selling and place sell orders at 0.19

adaseb's analysis encouraged me to do so and i lost 25% however i dont blame him, 100% success of flag patterns is simply impossible
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: ZCASH / ZEC Suprnova Pool Stratum enabled: https://zec.suprnova.cc on: November 14, 2016, 12:36:58 PM
As I keep getting questions about this, you can use anonymous mining on suprnova in the meanwhile too, even with ethos and/or claymore:

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -zwal Yt1uaa4yJuwDvErGbzVERx69zt9qsaZZpMYG -zpsw anything

And you even set you a static diff for your worker with d=XX as password like so:

ZecMiner64.exe -zpool zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -zwal Yt1uaa4yJuwDvErGbzVERx69zt9qsaZZpMYG -zpsw d=256

finally Smiley thanks @ocminer

what is zec and zcl payout limit? with anonymous mining
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v5.0 on: November 13, 2016, 09:01:16 PM
v5.0:

- improved speed by about 30-50% (depends on card model). About 145H/s on stock 390X.
- improved support for Catalyst 16.x and 4xx cards.
- reduced CPU usage.
108-117H on RX480 8G
great!

with 1500 straps  2200 mem clock 1266 core clock i get 126-135 H/s

10% more power consumption and 35% faster than SA v5

good job @Claymore
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SILENTARMY v5: Zcash miner, 115 sol/s on R9 Nano, 70 sol/s on GTX 1070 on: November 13, 2016, 12:42:59 PM
Tried using the windows port by zawawa and this was the result
upload an image

I'm using windows 7 64bit ultimate and installed cygwin64 on to main C:\ drive with Python3: Py3K language interpreter selected.
Error was with default start.bat being run. I have 2 cards in the rig 1 RX470 and the other is an RX 480 with latest AMD drivers.

Anyone know what I did wrong?

Thanks for any help

same here. need help

I had same error, resolved by uninstall amd driver with DDU (display driver uninstaller) and reinstall 16.10.3 driver

i asked before,no one answered... could someone explain why the windows port would work perfectly on one rig and run very slow on an identical rig? happening with 2 of my rigs... 1 of all RX 470's and one of 290's/290x mix rig. works great on one but slow on another identical rig , so out of 5 rigs im running SA on 3 and claymore's on 2..OS/drivers and hardware are all the same...weird eh..

this happens when silentarmy detects your cpu as dev0 or dev1

try different combinations of --use
