i just saw this project and it looks amazing..
Anyone knows if it is possible to use with ETHOS? Also, is there a step by step guide to install and use it?

Hi guys, is there any good mining OS on Linux that adjusts graphics card energy consumptions automatically? I've heard about simple mining OS and few others but I don't know if any have this feature, I prefer to use OS than straight miners like Claymore miners
The best think you can do is use ETHOS. For sure is the best Linux OS Mining solution..

All my 4gb cards are running just fine on Team Red Miner They have another 6-7 weeks of life left. why don't you use phoenixminer?

hello
I want to know how can i edit (where can i edit) the phoenixminer options like MCLOK or CCLOK (on command line).
i tryed to input on managed miner properties / command line but the miner did not take effect.
Also, i have the professional license that does not allow me to edit the clocks.
tks

What is everyone running as the OS when using the Linux remote agent?
Ubuntu 20.04 desktop edition or server edition or something completely different?
I'd like to keep my OS install as lean as possible but wasn't sure of it is a pain to install the graphics drivers on the server edition (or if it is even supported).
EDIT: I went ahead and installed 20.04 on a test rig with a single 1070. Added the latest Nvidia driver and screen (not part of base desktop install) and of course the remote agent.
Added the new rig to AM and created a GPU Clocking Profile.
Started mining, which is working fine, but the GPU Clocking Profile is being ignored.
Are GPU clocking profiles not supported on Ubuntu?
EDIT2: Will AM automatically start the ETH pill on rigs with 1080/1080Ti GPUs?
Anyone can tell if there is an iso with linux do burn on a pendrive that supports AM? It will be nice to have a Linux OS that you only have to power on and start to mine with AM Please, somebody can help us to make a special linux version for AM?

OK you dont set your clocks at the miner...you set them in the ethos config file (remote.conf or local.conf) You set them using cor and mem config lines. There is no reason to set them at the miner Ethos will handle setting them. So if you want 1150 on the mem clock... mem (rig id) 1150 1150 1150 1200 The above line would set gpu0 to 1150 gpu1 to 1150 gpu2 to 1150 and gpu3 to 1200 And yes ETHOS is very reliable. Not updated since 10/9/2018 and still running like a champ with all the modern miners. Yes, in this case i can do this.. But i want to use awesome miner with the miners, becouse AM has a lot of features like auto-profit switch and more easy to customize the rigs in one place. So, i really need to get the miners running as root, do you know how to do this on ETHOS? And YES ETHOS is the best Linux made to mine that i have found...

Post up the flags you are trying to set. Ive not had this problem.
i can change the memory clocks on ETHOS commands, but using flags, to set on PM command's, look: https://prnt.sc/ulvghj

for change only gpu3 memclock in the local.conf or remote conf add this
mem (abc123)=workernamerig 0 0 1900 0 0 etc...
mem abc123 0 0 1900 0 0
five cards and change memory clock only for gpu 3
tks!! problem solved!

Thanks, i will do some tests here and report. BTW, what do you think in make a version of linux to boot from pendrive with the Awesome Miner client and AMD/NVIDEA drivers into? So everybody can burn the iso on a pendrive and run the miner...

if i want to change for example only GPU 3 MEM CLOCK's, how can i do?
http://ethosdistro.com/pool.txtexplains how its done check your config file and will be a line starting with mem i have checked several times this file, but it does not explain if it is possible to set only one GPU in a rig with a lot of GPU's. I can set by worker, by Bios or globalsettings, or set one by one.. but i want to set only one GPU (the third one) on the rig.. Is this possible? EXAMPLE: MEM: default default 2150 default default default default default

is there a way to use ETHOS with AM?
I can see the reports on AM, but can not control the miners and the hardware using ETHOS...
Is there a way?

does anyone know if in the near future we will be able to mine with 4gb cards if one of the rig cards have 8gb?
For ETH/ETC in 1-2 month no 4GB card will be able to mine as the DAG will not be able to be loaded into the VRAM. Moving to Linux might buy you 2-4 more epochs but come December 20202 only 6GB and above cards can mine ETH/ETC. Same with ASIC that only have 4GB memory. The options then for 4GB cards would be to sell or mine something like RVN - but you'll be looking to compete with millions of 470/480/570/580 owners. Craigslist and eBay will be flooded with them. But are you sure that if the rig has at least 1 8GB and the rest 4GB will not work?
