61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Interest in an automated bitcoin trading website? Survey and details inside. on: April 09, 2013, 05:19:34 PM
Eh, why would you make money for us for free? That is obviously too good to be true and probably a scam.

BTW, how hard can it be to trade bitcoin when it only goes upwards anyways? Cheesy

And? Bitcoin is magical and different. It's a growing snowball - not a bubble. It can't burst.

Mmm. Maybe it is time to sell some BTC for fiat after all... Grin

Eh, you obviously are an economist. And we all know that educated, experienced economists don't understand this new currency bitcoins. Because bitcoin is open source, p2p, fancy-smancy and mining - only we geeks can understand the value of it. (Just joking.  Wink )
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You would be crazy to spend bitcoins when its rising so much in value on: April 09, 2013, 05:06:41 PM
I use real money for purchasing things, and bitcoins as a growing investment. There are barely any places for me (as a Swede) to spend bitcoins anyway. I think that is working quite nicely.

Unfortunately, the result will be disaster if everyone does that. Bitcoin's only utility is as a medium of exchange. If it is not used as such, then it has no utility and no value.

If you don't want the value of your bitcoins to come crashing down, then I encourage you to spend bitcoins whenever you can. You don't have to cut into you savings, just buy an extra bitcoin. Spend that and save the rest.

Why does it matter if I buy bitcoins for real money, spend them, and then the merchant convert them back to real money instantaneously? Why not pay with real money in the first place then? I guess that would be cheaper considering all exchange rates. And as I said, I don't even know where I would spend bitcoins, I don't need Reddit Gold.

Further more. Considering the value growth, like, the value of bitcoin has grown more than 10 % during the last 12 hours. Why would I spend my bitcoins? If I wait they will be worth A LOT MORE. Dunno, I just can't see why my strategy is wrong.

65  Economy / Economics / Re: What would YOU do? on: April 09, 2013, 04:55:40 PM
PayPal since it's easy and secure, and I don't have to give out my VISA number. Bitcoin is an investment I don't want to touch other than for cashing out.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now at Mt.Gox' $190 price or wait? on: April 09, 2013, 04:50:37 PM
Hey OP, I think its not a good time to bu now, price is still to low, just wait a few weeks and buy in then! Thats the smart move.
No, the price is ramming upwards. BUY!
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: why I sold my bitcoins.... on: April 09, 2013, 01:12:12 PM
Are you out of your mind? Bitcoin is a money making machine that hasn't met its climax. It would be stupid to sell in my opinion.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you do when price passed $ 200? on: April 09, 2013, 12:55:20 PM
Started to pump for 300! It won't take many days with this adoption rate!
70  Economy / Economics / Re: CRASH?! (not) For all the 'nay sayers' on: April 09, 2013, 12:47:30 PM
What do you want to say with that? That is rising and is getting adopted incredibly fast?
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now at Mt.Gox' $190 price or wait? on: April 09, 2013, 12:42:20 PM
Check this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167611.0

The price was predicted to reach 200 today, which it obviously did. And it's predicted to be at 300 by the 15th of April!

73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is UK so slow to jump on this? on: April 09, 2013, 12:30:20 PM
Eh, no stress, right? Don't we expect bitcoin for more than a couple of weeks? All infrastructure won't appear overnight.
74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now at Mt.Gox' $190 price or wait? on: April 09, 2013, 12:17:56 PM
Buy now of course! It will rise to heaven, invest now when you still have time!
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: We've hit $200. Don't sell too much... The bitcoin price is about to EXPLODE!!! on: April 09, 2013, 12:08:29 PM
Everyone is panic buying at any price just to get on the bandwagon.

Would this be the mass acceptance that people debating?

This is hilarious.  Grin People are starting to see all those use cases. Just kidding.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Chart: April 9th = $200, April 15th = $300 on: April 09, 2013, 12:06:14 PM
This is getting redicioulius. :-P
77  Economy / Economics / Re: CRASH?! (not) For all the 'nay sayers' on: April 09, 2013, 11:04:18 AM
I thinks it adoption not a bubble if its a bubble it has a long way to go before it bursts.  Still only 1 billion into it not enough money for it to be unstable or burst i think it can take a lot more money and traffic for it to be considered a bubble.

Didn't it hit 2 billions the other day? And how do you know when bitcoins gets unstable?
