61  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase is absolute shit. on: June 19, 2022, 02:10:40 PM
I was using Bittrex and decided to jump over to Coinbase to give it a try.

What a mistake. Coinbase is so shitty and generic compared to Bittrex. Coinbase you have ZERO options in regard to buying at a set price or putting in your sell price at higher than the current price.

Bittrex for Example i can put in a BUY order for BTC when it hits $15K and just go about my business and once bought i can put that SELL order in for whatever price i want and walk away.

Coinbase you have 2 shitty options buy or sell right now at the price right now.

Why would anyone use this shitty generic welfare exchange? How is it still in business?

Let me tell you. Coinbase is more trusted than bittrex and that's why many app developers will use coinbase payment system instead of something else. Try Google playstore app that pay bitcoin. Most use coinbase. It is easy to use. You could exchange your earning there with ease. The user interface is not as complex as bittrex. Most people choose simplicity over options.

Len Saldua, you were obviously in a hurry and came to the wrong conclusions.
Other members of the forum have already explained to you in great detail what actually happened and why.
Since you have already received an answer to your question, I suggest you lock this topic and continue writing in your topic that you started.
Next time be more careful and don't rush to conclusions, ok?

Len Saldua please listen to Daniel.

You don't need "to open closed wounds on your body". Just lock this topic and create a suitable one. Bitcoin talk users are aware of your claim and I'm sure no moderator is taunting you. My comments (for instance) has been deleted multiple times and I never went on a personal vendetta on any moderator. They are simply doing their job. It's not easy for them to check post and read line by line just to make sure users adhered to rules. Please...
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins made you 100x returns in last 6 years ? on: June 17, 2022, 12:55:24 PM
Did you make 100x your money ? What coins did you invest in that made you huge amounts of returns in the last 4-6 years. Would be curious to see what you guys took a chance and made a lot of money

Why did you choose that coin ?

100x return of investment is outrageous. Even bitcoin can't give 100x ROI. I think the best coin that gave me twice my investment once was Bitcoin. Although, I now understand that having multiple altcoin is better than keeping all your coins in one basket
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why I won't be buying top altcoins in this bear market on: June 17, 2022, 10:33:54 AM
~
You might not say the same for Ethereum, bud. I believe it is been there since. Obviously Bitcoin will stay in #1 and it would be there as long as we wanted to but since you're mentioning altcoins, I wouldn't look into that.
Altcoin ranks like around >Top 5 had changed for quite some time. I even recall some user here showing the snapshots of CMC back in previous years and I recall when Dogecoin was like in top 5 though someone could correct me if I am wrong at that.

Through this year, Tron has been a bit stable. People got quick profit there. I wonder why it didn't enter your analysis. Anyway, if you don't but alt coins, you would not reap the dividend when others do. I'll advise you to monitor and reevaluate your stands in time before it is too late.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Food for Thought!!! (Bear Market Special) on: June 16, 2022, 10:23:06 AM
Am not sure but from the tone of this post i think it was made during times like this. i stumble across this very inspiring piece of btc post from the telegram channel i follow so i thought to share it here to inspire some of us who are thinking the worst because of the blood bath. More than 10 years since this post was made here in this forum, i hope the @op bought back his btc otherwise........ won't comment any further Lips sealed
Link from the source is either broken or removed, couldn't dig it from here.

Do share your beautiful thoughts.  Smiley

This is just one sixe of the coin (pun intended)
BTC was never conceptualised to be what is is today, at least what investors are trying to make of it. It's not all about making a profit, it never was. The bigger picture is BTC pushing the boundaries of what is money and curency without it being attached to standard money controling organisations. And how all of that could benefit our future.

True...  Cool Bitcoin level of uncertainty could benefit our future. Who knows? Bitcoin could hit $80,000 after this mayhem is over.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A single trading tool is not enough on: June 16, 2022, 06:26:55 AM
just use a good and correct strategy, such as using the MACD indicator , RSI or MA, EMA,
the indicators you use are also part of the tools provided by the exchange. all the tools are as the OP intended. you are lucky you can use it well. because without a good understanding, many of the tools used will not produce anything. it's all just speculation.

My friend, this tool is a standard tool although there are little variation. The same tool is used by many traders on trading view website. Take a look at it here

67  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A single trading tool is not enough on: June 15, 2022, 11:56:40 PM
This is the simplest question I've gotten in trading.
In trading, understand the indicator. If all your indicator point to the same direction, then you can enter the trade. Please note, you MUST check the news update before using this indicator. A typical list of indicators and their values can be viewed on https://m.investing.com/indices/bitcoin-real-time-technical . All indicators such as MACD, WILLIAMS e.tc are there.
If all of your indicators are showing downside, that usually means that it will go down, but if they all show upside, that doesn't always mean that it will go up. The problem there is that bitcoin market is fragile, when going up, people are afraid that it may start to go down, it goes up 2x? Then people say it is time for it to start going down, when in fact it could do another 3x on top of it. Don't believe me?

Check topics when it went from 10k to 20k in 2020, it then went to 68k at peak but during 20k many said it will start to go down. However, when it is going down, people do not think it will reverse, they think it could go on going down even further, which often does because of it.

Its true that bitcoin market is volatile and that's why I clearly mentioned that you must check the news before using those indicators. If you do, your success rate would increase. Speculation can change the market sometimes but most times, the information is not always true so people don't rely on it.
68  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators deleted my two page post ! on: June 15, 2022, 08:46:36 PM
So here's another case of "shoot first, ask questions later" My two page post called " Is trading volume an important metric? " Just got deleted by moderators. It had about 15 replies, most of which were highly informative. But just about 2 hours ago, I posted something the moderators didn't like, and boom ! whole thread is gone. WTF !! What is this ? No freedom of speech ? So this is pretty much another Reddit ? Okay.
And FYI, the offending comment was about an Altcoin that had gone several million percent in one day, and no, it's not me trying to pump a new scam coin or anything, this really did happen, I took screenshots and have proof. I won't name that project because the moderators really pissed me off here, so now you go and find what this project's name is.

So Moderators:

Next time something sounds unbelievable make sure you check your sources first, and don't rush to conclusions and delete the thread because it might just be true, as in this case.

I'm surprised the moderator didn't delete this post. Look at what you are posting!  You have a problem with a moderator. Instead of sending him a PM, you open another post. You just validated the moderators action against you. Anyway, I'm sure have other topics to discuss so I suggest you archive this one.   Shocked Shocked  Shocked

To get the best out of any analysis confluence between multiple tools is best because it gives a clear picture of where to possibly set take profit and set a stop loss in case of reversals. For me i Iove support and resistance and so I combine trend lines, moving average, time frame and indicative candle stick making sure my chart is as neat as possible and any signal outside this i avoid it. This keeps my trading discipline in check.

What are your own it can be beneficial to someone else.

What Is the Williams %R Indicator?

Let's go back in time to 1973 when the US officially removed itself from the gold standard where inflation was high and rising and took steps to rein in inflation and because of those policies many commodities saw strong trends, just as they are now and therefore in the current uncertainty using momentum indicators will help you determine the direction of the market To determine entry and exit points.

Williams %R aka Williams Percent Range, is a type of momentum indicator that moves between (0 to -100) and measures overbought and oversold levels.

%R formula

In short, it is a process of determining how close the current price is to a recent high or low, %R is a limited oscillator so as to make the oscillation range between zero or less than -100.

A reading above -20 is considered the peak area, which means that a correction may be close, and therefore it is an exit or selling point for the assets.
The exact opposite happens to the reading below -80, the oversold area, and therefore it is an entry or buying point for assets.

Sometimes the limitation of the oscillator causes the price to stay in the peak area for a long time.

how to use Williams %R Indicator

To get the best areas to enter when an asset is oversold and below -80, the trader can buy as soon as the market crosses upwards above -80.
Then the trader can wait for the market to cross up below 20.

72  Economy / Economics / Re: How can I survive in a place where BTC is restricted? on: June 12, 2022, 01:38:37 PM
While there are countries who have embraced or tolerated BTC since it's emergence in 2008, there seem to be some who are adamant about it because of its high volatility rate and the ability to conduct nefarious activities with it.
In September 2021, El Salvador became the first country to not just embrace it, but also to use it as a legal tender and where were followed by Central African Republic in April 2022. It would seem that these countries have seen the light(BTC), in this case and have held firmly.
 Despite it's controversial emergence, it has managed to gain a kind of positive publicity. Countries who are strongly against it and have moved for it's ban in their nations are;

Algeria
They passed into law in 2014 and making illegal the use, buying and selling or holding of crypto currency
Bolivia
Bolivia Central Bank passed the law of the total ban of the use of crypto currency in 2014
China
On Sept 24, the Bureau of the People's Financial Consumer Rights Bank of China outrightly banned the use of BTC. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_cryptocurrency_by_country_or_territory
There are many more countries who have taken this step. My question now is, how do citizens who have BTC and reside in areas that are not crypto friendly cope?

Wow! Are you actually looking for tips to break the law of countries banning Bitcoin? That's a bid odd. If you have bitcoin and you stay in an area where it is banned, you can simply take a plane or trip to a place where bitcoin is not banned and use your bitcoin. At least, you will be on the right side of the law. If you stay in area where bitcoin is banned and you take all these people advices and eventually get caught, the expenses you will incure will be greater than a simple travel. Even binance exchange was founded in China. When china issued such ban on crypto, they simply moved their headquarters to cayman islands. Such individuals can do the same. Don't break the law

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Adsense now has a token? on: June 11, 2022, 04:22:23 PM
Certainly not the first case of sh*t tokens using reputable company names or services, in an attempt to attract victims who fall for such petty scam attempts. I wouldn't go anywhere close any token using someone else's name, it's a huge red flag. Major corporations wouldn't create such tokens in the first place.

This is true. If this token was from google, google will brag or advertise it on its platform. Even though it on coinmarketcap.com , google never mentioned that they own it.

At coinmarketcap.com there is a warning sign that reads.

The ownership of the smart contract isn't renounced for the following asset, which means the owners are able to modify contract behavior (for example: disable selling, change fees, mint new tokens, or transfer tokens). Please exercise with extra caution if you are investing in this asset.

I'm guessing it could be used to exploit investors or hold their investment.

But the token is cheap $0.00002051 = 1ADT

Now, retract your statement that fairspin.io is scam! When fairspin.io paid you on the 13th, you didn't inform anyone but when fairspin.io delayed due to suspicion, you opened a bitcointalk account and the first post you will ever write is this scam accusation. This is not fair. When things are done right, people don't acknowledge it. But when there is a simple discrepancy, people tend to give negative feedback. I rest my Case.
Lol, what your purpose mate? is there something that we need to do to satisfy you? stop hope to everyone will do it for you. I see that's you seems got hired by fairspin to defend them, the @OP don't need to admit or say anything since it's a valid accusation. As the negative tag has been removed, there's nothing should be worry, just waiting other people to unsupport the flag.

My friend, this is my little contribution to the bitcoin community. Every opinion matter. You are probably use to receiving only good remarks from people. If you are shown the other side, you may have a different concept about certain situations you find yourself.

Anyway, I don't collect money to view my opinion in bitcointalk. You can believe anything. It's a free world. But don't harm others when you do so!

Your first activity of depositing and withdrawing the same day is suspicious to me alone. . Most people won't withdraw everything so as to continue betting but we don't know your own side of the story.
Umm what? Withdrawing after winning 3 bets is suspicious? Also i didnt withdraw everything, i left ~5MBTC on the account. Then deposited again after i lost it.

Alright, let me keep that part aside. Please let us look at your response to fair spin support.

Fair spin support was modest, polite and straight to the point whereas your response to their reply was a bit rude, cruel and bias and saucy/ impudent. - This is suspicious to me!!!

Considering they are holding his money hostage, he has every right to be a little rude after numerous delays. Besides, I did not find much cruelty or rudeness in his messages, but a bit of passive aggression and sarcasm, which I think is understandable. And, could you please explain why this is suspicious to you? What would you do in a similar situation?

If I were the owner of fair spin, I would teach you a lesson not to be impudent to people.

Fortunately, you are not a casino owner. And, if you ever own a service business, you will realize that customers are the ones who bring you profit, not your ego.

There is an old proverb He who holds all the cards dictate the game. Even if you are correct in an event, courtesy demands that you respect the person helping you even if it is their job. For goodness sake " Don't laugh at them or mock them with Sarcasm" How much is he demanding? Other people that are receiving much don't even behave that way for Christ sake! Even if you are laughing out loud where you stay, must you write it out there for someone who is helping you to resolve your problem?

It is true customers bring profit. I'm not disputing this. That's why we need to stress out the fact that we all need to play our role wholeheartedly and consider other people's emotions and feelings so as not to tamper with it weather you are a customer or owner.

Please, scam accusation is a serious thing.

Their Suggestion to Continue Betting:

Is it only me checking this withdrawal screenshot? Why won't there be any suspicion?

- You deposited on the 13 and withdrew on the same day double your deposit

- You then deposited twice on two separate occasions, which is ok then requested for another withdrawal about one month later-

- Your first activity of depositing and withdrawing the same day is suspicious to me alone. . Most people won't withdraw everything so as to continue betting but we don't know your own side of the story.
- Also, we don't even know your mode of activity in this site that made you to be flagged.

If I can detect just this, what of a full system algorithm that detect fraud/ suspicious activities?

My advice is to wait for the result of their investigation. If you are clean or blameless, you will be paid again.

From my perspective, fairspin is not a scam!

You were paid before, you could be paid again. Just wait!
