has the difficulty gone up? I seem to have mined about 20ish% less WDC today than yesterday. I know this could be accounted for from pools going down then coming back up whilst asleep but just wanted to check.

people are saying 0.02 BTC , its just what I heard?
LTC is currently trading for .027 BTC, so no chance that Worldcoin reaches that price anytime soon if ever. More realistic scenarios are like those of FTC and CNC when they started out, peaking around .005-.006 then settling around .002-.003 before they crashed due to lack of hashpower and/or community support. If Worldcoin makes it to a exchange it will need continued support to avoid a similar fate. interesting, I wouldn't be surprised if WDC followed a similar path |

People should definitely take 0.02BTC as a good starting price for when it hits real exchanges  That was th price before people started to place a lot of bids. I bet it could be 0.02BTC too, maybe more at start. 0.02 BTC has to be hype |

i think YACOIN despite its name is a huge contender what do the two major cryptocurrencies have in common
BTC was the first sha-256 crypto (and yes the first crypto)
LTC was the first scrypt crypto
Correct me if i am wrong, but yacoin employs a new hashing algorithm so it will be the first of that type of hashing algorithm
So i think yacoin will stand out amongst the crowd of new coins
the most interesting thing about alt coins is how desperate people are to convince themselves the coin they've chosen is superior even if they don't actually understand how and it's destined to succeed! |

I'm thinking of picking up some Gigabyte 7970 GHz Edition boards cause I think by default they are clocked at 1100, my sapphire ones are 1000 which I push to 1150 ish.. anyone have any thoughts about the Gigabyte card?
I have 4 gigabyte 7970 OC editions and they are more stable than any other cards I have. My friend has 4 GHz cards as well as 12 OC cards and he constantly complains about his GHz cards taking more power, getting the same or less hash and crashing more. |

meeting face to face seems like a pain, however I guess if you were doing it only once a month for lump sums then it's not so bad. If you met in a coffee shop do you literally just take a laptop and send them the coins while they're watching?

I'm also interested in this. It seems to me that most other things besides fiat will have paypal as their major option. As a trader it's obviously desirable to minimise paypal putting their hand in your pocket so we need to learn the best practices.

Hi all,
just wondering what is the best financial approach and potential tax obligations for the following scenario:
* Receiving BTC in exchange for another digital product
* Receiving the same digital product in exchange for BTC
the digital product can be sold for 95% to paypal or international wire transfer and purchased at normal price
so I understand the exchange rate would have to be high to cover the 5% but can anyone share info regarding tax / financial obligations?
I acknowledge I'm still a newbie to BTC but trying to get my head around the practicalities of trading and doing business with BTC
also how does it change if the market is untested? I.e.
* People might be interested in purchasing digital product with their BTC but people with the digital product might not be interested in cashing out to BTC or vice versa
