601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of features a crypto user will expect in crypto site(Non exchange webs on: August 15, 2018, 05:59:03 PM
If you have news and data, don't miss an event page.
Bring up a list of events that has happend and are planned in crypto world. Including but not limited to, hardforks, mainnet launch, swaps, conferences or exchange listings.
All of these in one place with date and one liner explanations. You can even put a link to the full story.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think ethereum is the best crypto next to bitcoin. on: August 15, 2018, 05:55:25 PM
To the time and testing, Ethereum holds the 2nd position after Bitcoin in everything including but not limited to acceptance, transaction, market cap, usability and popularity.
It would take much time for other coins to topple the top 2 coins. The third spot has been changing frequently but not these two.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / A man in UAE took six figure loan and lost 85% of his crypto value on: August 15, 2018, 02:58:08 PM
Crypthomie, a Reddit user identifying as a 32-year-old male living in Abu Dhabi, recently posted a photo of his repayment schedule pertaining to a six-figure loan that he took out on the 18th of December, 2017.

The Redditor borrowed 338,000 dirhams (roughly $126,500 USD), with a total outstanding amount of 393,296.80 dirhams ($147,200 USD) including interest from Emirates Islamic Bank. The document outlines a repayment schedule of 8194 dirhams ($3067 USD) monthly until December 14, 2021.

The investor wrote: “Here is my bank installment related to the loan I took to invest in crypto. Still three-and-a-half years to go until I’m freed. Until then, I’m working for nothing and I’m at 85 per cent loss. I hope it gives you a lesson.”
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Won't it be possible to be paid for bounty in cash instead of token on: August 14, 2018, 02:28:56 PM
The real intention of bounty campaign are not just the advertising but also community building and raising awareness about it.
When you join a bounty, you automatically starts following its news, events and price. You'd know about its working principle and are highly likely to recommend it when the specific genre of crypto are in question.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: God save Crypto on: August 14, 2018, 02:20:34 PM
These are just price circles.
The whales increases the price in such a way that people believe there's no coming back and than slowly dump all their coins in rising market.
Now they decreases the price by making lower prices fake transactions and keep on making it fall until normal user sell their holding cheap in panic.
And the cycle repeats.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Track your crypto portfolio using excel easy! on: August 14, 2018, 02:17:02 PM
It's personal preference but as web based portfolio tracker are cross platform and they provide almost all features available for having in an excel sheet for free.
So, it's not worth handling excel sheets where a simple mistake can leave your data broken. Flexibility of customization comes with manual accidents.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Post being deleted without Any Notification? on: August 13, 2018, 12:00:44 AM
It could that the thread you are replying or quoting was the one being deleted and not your post itself. I have encountered that one too. If your own post is deleted, it is automatic that it will send you email and message in Bitcoin Talk.

This is the reason why you get no notification while your post being deleted. If you post was singly and manually deleted than you would have got a notification.
But if moderator or the thread owner deletes his complete thread than your reply too is deleted and you won't get a notification about it.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is important for ICO analysis? on: August 12, 2018, 11:50:52 PM
For me there are the most important:
1 - Company
2 - Team
3 - Idea + Solutions
4 - Market + Problem
5 - Partners + Investors
6 - Community

I'd add practicability and usability of the token and the service/product offered by the project.
And I'd like to add economics of the token. How the project is planning to reward the token holders.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In this bearish market, What do you think is the way out?? on: August 12, 2018, 03:26:26 PM
Depends on your financial situation, your cost price and your objective. Not everyone fits in the same lock.
If you find a better place to increase your money than crypto, you can withdraw with a loss but it's still better to hold crypto than depositing in a bank for virtually free  of interest.
Invest wise. Invest what you can lose.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will doing be good in Future ? on: August 11, 2018, 02:55:16 PM
I think it's the right time to get some reward from bounties. At current moment, as the price is low, the bounties you get now would increase a lot when the crypto market rises.
People mostly thinks for current time and tries to get into bounties when the price is high and ignores when it's low but you should be better doing the opposite way.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steam discovered one of its game had a background mining software in it! on: August 11, 2018, 02:30:42 PM
Background mining scripts are getting smarter everyday and like viruses and malware, mining blockers too need to update frequently to counter newer scripts that attempt to use users processing power without consent to mine for them. Owners of such script should be penalized for theft.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is not a very prosperous year for cryptocurrency on: August 11, 2018, 02:26:12 PM
It's been a year for correction and realisation.
We're still to see the end but it's becoming clearer, the last day of this year would be worse than that of last year in terms of price of cryptocurrency.
Though use and adoption rose this year, it's still in a low pace.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TUSD - the new digital dollar. on: August 10, 2018, 07:56:28 AM
Tether though with a lot of conspiracy and accusation achieved what many promising coins couldn't. Viewing the success of Tether, there are many other fiat fixed currency being issued. But the first challenge for them is to being accepted in multiple platforms like USDT, Many exchanges are already using Tether and it would be complicated to add more than one Dollar fixed crypto and would also create more confusion to the users.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you wish ICOs would share more of to help you invest? on: August 10, 2018, 07:53:35 AM
They should show what they really have achieved except for opening an office.
They should show the real documentation and papers for partnership or deals with real business and companies, at least to the investors.
They should public their investment collection address. Use of smart contracts wherever possible.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please Do Research In what you invest in, Some help for the Starting Investor on: August 10, 2018, 07:50:54 AM
ICO bench-marking sites has became a good place to start with the research. You can take peoples as well as rating sites reviews as suggestions but you should do the final research yourself and conclude. Everyone can be wrong and it's your money that is at risk. Invest wisely.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Are ICOs And Are They Scammy? on: August 10, 2018, 07:47:52 AM
ICOs are startup teams collecting money from different people to fund their project.
They come up with promises to share any profit their projects makes with the people who invested them.
But most of ICO issuing team are not dedicated enough to work hard with others money and spend it on unnecessary task than developing the real project.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Altcoins meet up with security and reliability issues on: August 07, 2018, 03:57:53 PM
Decentralization, it is the key for security and reliability. Followed by community and number of specialist working for it.
Bitcoin and Ethereum has the highest number of volunteering tech specialist who are quick in finding and solving a problem.
Paid technician of some coins can't match with their expertise. Other's with better decentralized community are of course, monero, litecoin and dogecoin.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT KEEPS YOU SANE IN THESE CRYPTO BLOODBATHS? on: August 07, 2018, 03:49:33 PM
I'm not in loss.
The amount I've deposited from fiat has not decreased from its initial average. i.e. my coin value are more than for what I bought them for.
You should know when to buy and when to sell if you want to have a profit from crypto. Now it's a buying time.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your strategy for hodling or selling? on: August 06, 2018, 01:56:29 PM
Buy cheap, hold, sell some on high, if the coin rises keep on selling and if decreases keep buying.
This would be the perfect strategy but as you need to control your short instincts and plan for long than daily change in prices.
If you diversify your money among many coins, you can even profit in a falling market.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about current bounties, airdrops and contests on: August 05, 2018, 01:46:19 PM
One of the important parts for success of a token/coin is adoption. And airdrop and bounty are a way to increase the number of userbase.
From bounty they are not only advertising the token but also increasing the number of its holders.
