Are there even bets paid out automatically? It seems to me all bets get stuck.

I have made 5+ winning bets, never been without payment.
But maybe it has something to do with how much you bet. I'm not a high roller, so maybe thats why I've gotten lucky.
602  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Get bitcoin for your used books at Bits4Books! on: August 27, 2013, 08:51:19 PM
I'm planning on getting a eBook reader. Problem is not everything is in eBook format.

So it would nice with a scan4Bitcoins service.
Either you send in the book you want scanned, or the company buys the book and scans it.

Alright it's evening time in Sydney now..
What happens now?
Will you open up the paypal buttons just for a few hours? That would be awesome.

I will be checking the thread every hour. Hopefully I get a chance to order.

604  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 22, 2013, 02:59:17 PM
Crap, hope this doesn't mean I missed the opportunity to order a miner.

Anyone care to guess at what time he will be back? Monday morning aussie time perhaps?  Tongue

People are reporting that SEPA transfers are coming through now.
Can't comment on whether or not this is true or not.

606  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinSports.eu - Bitcoin Sportsbook - PLAY or INVEST - No Registration! on: August 21, 2013, 07:27:06 PM
Could you please explain in a little more detail what the numbers on the top of the site mean?
Is it displaying the profit for investors or for the players?
607  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 21, 2013, 06:27:23 PM
OK, just wanna check one thing before I order.
I will be ordering through PayPal, and as we all know shipping is not included in the price.
So my question is: Will you PM everyone when you have the shipping estimates or do you get an email with a PayPal invoice?
608  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra GoldStrike System Prices to be Released Soon! on: August 19, 2013, 08:07:28 PM
No one cares for your pre-order nonsense, come back when you have something in hand and ready to ship.
+1

There should be a new subsection in this forum: "Pre-Orders & other vaporware"
All posts not directly related to existing hardware should go straight to that subsection.  This would cleanup the Custom Hardware section.

It is not "Custom Hardware Pre-orders"  or "Custom Dream/What I want for Christmas Hardware" section but "Custom Hardware".
It implies an existing hardware.

Problem is there is so few manufacturers that actually have a product to ship.
But I agree out of all threads in this forum 2 out of 10 are about actual products that you can buy today.
It's very hard to navigate. Maybe it's time to open up a new subsection called "available ASIC products" or something.

609  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] - GROUP BUY of BITFURY Chips + DRILLBIT SYSTEM mining assembly on: August 17, 2013, 02:57:14 PM
Why does the first post still say: "shipping prices to be updated shortly"?

If I order through PayPal will shipping prices be automatically added?
610  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY] HASHFAST/COINTERRA 1.55 BTC for 10GH, JOHN K. ESCROW, BEST VALUE on: August 15, 2013, 08:35:50 AM
So how long before JohnK starts collecting?

What's stopping somebody from reserving all shares just to fuck around?
611  Economy / Marketplace / Re: www.BitKonan.com NEW BITCOIN MARKET with Advanced Trade Management - STOP LIMIT- on: August 15, 2013, 07:31:46 AM
If I'm using a UK bank account to purchase, how much fees do I need to pay for the wire transfer process?

Forgive my ignorance, but doesn't SEPA transfers have standardized fees?

612  Economy / Marketplace / Re: www.BitKonan.com NEW BITCOIN MARKET with Advanced Trade Management - STOP LIMIT- on: August 13, 2013, 11:04:20 PM
Would be nice to hear some testimonials.

Anyone transfered any larger sums?

If you have used this service I would like to ask you the following questions:
How long until your account was credited
How long until your withdraw hit your bank account?
613  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][Group Buy] HashFast Shares ฿1.65=10GH/s on: August 11, 2013, 03:26:26 PM
So here is the extra funds needed for the transfer of my share.

Problematic transfer though.
Long story short: there is no such thing as a good morning... Roll Eyes

First I transfer 0.05 too much. Then the wallet I'm using won't update. (Electrum).
So I didn't receive any confirmation of the transaction.

Anyways, blockchain says a transaction was made from my adress 1Cq3B7pu986ZieSyisjrYf3rXiThr4V7bh.

Here is the TX id on blockchain:

614  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][Group Buy] KnCMiner Shares ฿1.05=5GH/s *Merging with HashFast on: August 10, 2013, 05:49:52 PM
Alright not at home right now. But when I get home I will transfer you the extra funds.
And post the Tx ID here.

Although I'm kinda doubting that HashFast is a serious company.
But on the other hand I had doubts about KNC too.

And I agree it's better to cancel miner #7 and move to HashFast #1.
Seems like more people are interested in 10GH/s obviously.

615  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN][Group Buy] KnCMiner Shares ฿1.05=5GH/s *Merging with HashFast on: August 10, 2013, 05:41:12 PM
Sure, so if I send you 0.60BTC you will move me to the HashFast buy group #1?

vdragon had been about a while, but turns out the account had either been sold or stolen.

...then...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=262566.0

Makes me sad to read this. Seemed like an "honest" guy.

I always try to find group buys where the OP actual gives proof of identity. Like showing ID for JohnK etc.
Still I guess the only way to be sure is to use escrow. I don't get why so few GB's have escrow option?

Maybe the reason is that this would be impossible when selling shares of larger miners, no?
I mean if you look at stock exchanges like: btct.co they cannot guarantee that you won't get scammed.
It's the nature of bitcoin I think, when you have no regulations or central authority there will always be scammers.
618  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DO NOT JOIN ANY GROUP BUY !! Beware Don't Join any Group Buy!! on: August 08, 2013, 07:16:36 PM
Ive been robbed (and many other ppl) by "vdragon" during GB so I agree - be cautious buyers. Use escorow, known sellers and try to get proof of identity before make BTC transfer. Thats my 2C

So was I, but I've participated in a GB since with positive results.  The vdragon one, on hindsight, was an obvious scam from day one.  No-one picked it up.  Roll Eyes  Thankfully I only lost about BTC1.7.

This "vdragon" guy? Was he considered "trusted"? Can you link his thread?

I find it interesting that most of the group buys don't offer escrow. I see people sending over 10BTC to random community members without blinking.
I would like to know how people think. What makes you trust a member etc..

619  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USD You Would pay for 1 GH/s Right Now on: August 06, 2013, 09:26:25 PM
I did however purchase an Erupter, which gives me around 336 Mhps, which in month and half I should get what I pay for the device. Then afterword's will pure profits.

It depends on when you started mining and what you paid for the miner, but most people that bought the USB miners will never make a profit in BTC.  And even if they make a profit in $, it would have been more profitable if they just bought the BTC outright, instead of mining it.

You mean to say that if they bought the miners at 2BTC a piece, they will never get that back by using the miners?

You're actually spot #3 in Miner #7, got some people before you via PM who grabbed shares!  Cool

Down to 77 shares in Miner 7. oOOo.
