There is always the danger that the coin may die if you hold it for too long, there is nothing you can do about it. The less known the coin, the greater the danger. As for selling, the best thing I can think of is to sell it when everyone is buying. That probably means that you will have to wait for the next bitcoin bull run because then, more or less, all altcoins gain in value and people are actively buying them. But as you said, the danger is that the coin may die (or depreciate in value too much) while you wait for the next bull run to happen. I am afraid the risk is always there, even if the altcoin is among the established ones.
Right, I have faced huge losses from my bounty tokens holding or even my trade tokens holding. Not all tokens are profitable for holding. Only few tokens can be hold but if you find good price, it can be sold. |

This is very pessimistic that after listing in exchanges, price of coins drops in most of the cases. This is due to the team performance, market conditions, bonus emissions and so on. Now only few ICOs are coming which is safe but most of the cases, it is high risky in ICO investment.

Hey guys, new to the forum! Thinking of doing a short-term investment for fun, about 1 month or so. Was thinking I should buy either Etherum or Bitcoin Cash. I use Gemini so not all coins are available. Wanted to get some opinions from you vets  There is risk in every investment whether it is in crypto or any real business. You have to think for a short term trade but if there is any situation of loss, you may hold for long term. Hence no one can say that a certain coin or token can give you only profits within one month. |

I remember that Eth reached more than $1,000 back then before dropping dramatically. Now that Bitcoin is excitedly showing its bull run, many Eth holders like me are wishing that it can do its dance upwards as well. I've read new article on BlockChain24.co about TRON's chances to get to the top 10 on the CoinMarketCap. As for me, they aren't high. I'm afraid that Tron will probably drop even more.
