602  Economy / Services / Re: who wants to contribute writing crypto related articles and reviews on: September 23, 2018, 07:01:29 PM
Currently we are accepting volunteers only , thanks

Why on Earth would anybody want to waste their time contributing articles to your site, when they could create articles for their own site and keep 100% of the advertising revenue?
603  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] ⚡BQT Signature Campaign | Member - Hero | 0.0007 BTC /Post ⚡ on: September 23, 2018, 06:53:56 PM
Zapo was last active today, at 9:42 AM, but he hasn't yet responded to the applications nor he updated anything in the spreadsheet. I'm concerned because I have been wearing the signature for 2 days now and I have been constantly posting after that. And I don't know if my posts in this period would be counted or not. Now I'm confused whether I should remove the signature until he appears or I keep it so that my posts get counted.

Nowhere in the application process does it state that you need to be wearing the signature and avatar whilst applying. Zapo is under no obligation to even respond to your application request. As with all signature campaigns, you are only paid once accepted, post at your own risk until this event.

610  Other / Meta / Re: Guaranteed way to almost eliminate forum spam! on: September 19, 2018, 11:14:49 PM
Here is a guaranteed way to eliminate almost all forum spam. Simply don't allow signatures for any forum member. The majority of all posts made on the entire forum are entirely for the purpose of completing bounty signature requirements. Guess what, legendary members can spam too, not just newbies. Eliminate all signatures and you eliminate all spam posts. It takes away the reason to do mass postings every week. However this will never happen, because guess what? The owners of this forum benefit from all of this posting because it increases their number of visitors and therefor ad revenue. The owners probably make a really hefty amount of money from all of their ad revenue. If they take away signatures, ad revenue would drop significantly. So there you have it.

Captain obvious everybody. Did you guys know that Bitcointalk is profitable for Theymos Shocked who knew!? Signature advertising is one of the major features of this forum, and is a key differentiator in what separates it from other similar forums, why would Theymos do something to jeapordize the success of the forum? This is a home for blockchain and cryptocurrencies, yes signature advertising is a major feature here, but it is also a repository of information, creativity and problem solving that you will struggle to find elsewhere, don't let your narrow perception blind you to this.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs now regulated, expect better ICOs, less Scams on: September 19, 2018, 11:11:50 PM
France is still just a relatively small country, it will take one of the superpower countries to have a major effect on the way ICOs are handled. In any case, I think the community is starting to wise up to the truth about scam ICOs, so I imagine they are beginning to find it much more difficult to grab and dash than it was when the practice first began.
612  Economy / Economics / Re: Found out where all the bitcoin money went... on: September 19, 2018, 10:45:55 PM
I really don't like the way practically every industry is being invaded by blockchain, it is making a niche out of an already niche market, that is not how an industry should be build. Start with the core structures, and then expand to the periphery, that's what corporations do, and that's how Bitcoin would do best in terms of growth. Either way, the money moves into whatever is hot (at least in terms of speculation), if an ICO about high technology baby diapers had a huge token sale, you can bet that all related projects would spike too due to the grouping effect.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: September 19, 2018, 10:42:32 PM
There are some extraordinary gifted people in poverty conditions, I really don't think that your phrase bares any meaning in the real world. In countries like Venezuela, the vast majority of the population live in poverty due to extreme government mismanagement, would you say almost the entire population of this country are fools then? Horrible analogy.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: What manipulators want on: September 19, 2018, 10:40:10 PM
They clearly don't want to completely destroy the market, as that would have happened a long time ago. I doubt that we are actually seeing major price manipulation, the volume hitting exchanges simply isn't enough to account for the changes in valuation that we have seen. People attribute any mass movements to whales and market manipulators, when in fact it could just be generic trade volume.
615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: when will the crypto market revive strong on: September 19, 2018, 10:36:02 PM
Well, it's obviously going to recover on June 29th at 4.09PM. Do you know why? Because nobody knows obviously. Why do I keep seeing these ridiculous threads? Obviously nobody could possibly know when the price is going to see a full recovery, if they did do you really think they would share it with you on this forum? They would need to be pulling some serious strings to pull this off, so they wouldn't let it slip so easily.
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: THE IMPORTANCE OF THE MANY EXCHANGES on: September 19, 2018, 10:33:48 PM
There are not that many exchanges that actually have the trade volume necessary for you to achieve any sort of reasonable liquidity for your funds, as far as I am aware only the very largest exchanges such as Bittrex and Binance offer extreme liquidity, so you're just going to be liable for price manipulation by playing around on the smaller exchanges, best to avoid them until they grow somewhat.
617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning day trading on: September 19, 2018, 10:31:38 PM
One of the best ways to do it is to follow a high quality trade discussion group, the Cryptovince chat is one that I visit regularly, there's plenty of people on there posting their daily analyses and predictions. You can also simply learn how to play traditional markets, as most of the signals are transferrable.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there anyone who's been in the market since 2014? on: September 19, 2018, 10:24:05 PM
I've been in crypto for approximately a year now, and there have been a few times even throughout that short period where people had professed the end of Bitcoin was near. This is just a bigger version of the common dip, when you look over a period of several years, the effects of this dip will be inconsequential.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunters Dump Always? on: September 19, 2018, 10:21:22 PM
In my experience only a small fraction of bounty are looking to dump their tokens at the very first instance, you can tend to spot these guys on the channel, desperately asking the time, date and precise moment the token will be listed on an exchange.
620  Other / Meta / Re: Be Honest; What would you do If you are a high rank member and In this situatio? on: September 19, 2018, 09:54:34 PM
Likely a completely fabricated story, but I'll bite regardless.

If I were a newbie in the unfortunate position of being so unbelievably lazy and lackluster that I couldn't even earn a single merit, then I would just give up on my dreams because clearly, I have about as much effort as a snail. Obviously, merit isn't the be all and end all of Bitcointalk, but it does show you are contributing something the community likes, and hence contributing to the cryptosphere in general. If you have nothing to contribute right now, learn, grow and come back stronger, but don't expect any merit in the meantime.
