601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Bitcoin stands to gain when the government prints more currencies on: November 04, 2021, 12:10:18 PM
The US and EU already said they were printing millions to counter the crisis caused by the pandemic. IMO the huge price increase in cryptos is intimately tied to this fact. Cryptos are inherently the best way to store value when facing government-imposed inflation. Cereal and fuel prices are surging and inflation may start to run wild. The best way you have against the constant devaluation of a country's official currency is Bitcoin. So, while an economical crisis of Global proportions is about to hit, the crypto industry will probably see the largest influx of users in its history.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's so “convincing” about Craig Wright? on: November 04, 2021, 11:51:19 AM
I read tweets about bitcoin since I follow mostly bitcoin related accounts, but I have to admit; there's a ton of BSV supporters. I mean, many, not just a bunch of bots or Craig and his BSV bitcointalk accounts. (Whose topic I still don't get why it isn't deleted)

Seriously, just search for “Craig Wright” in Twitter.

I don't understand what's the incentive of those people on continuing this propaganda. Do they really consider their arguments valid? Are they convinced that Craig is Satoshi even though there are numerous accusations that suggest otherwise? Do they get paid for doing it somehow? I haven't ever met a person who supports it in real life, but I can imagine they'll have some sort of disorder to do it.

Craig has been on a rampage ever since Wired and Gizmodo brought him onto the news in 2015 saying he could be the real inventor of Bitcoin. Truth is that till this day, he was not able to sign any of the wallets that supposedly belong to the real Satoshi. C'mon, if he was the real inventor, why would he support a fork of his own work and abandon the original? The guy is just a hoax and the real proof of that is Bitcoin Satoshi's Vision creation.

605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / China Ban and the mining exodus on: October 29, 2021, 09:43:55 PM
A lot of countries have been benefitting from China ban on cryptos. Due to the ban, countries that made borders with China saw their crypto mining industry boom. Kazakhstan is one of the most recent countries where the crypto mining interest is surging as "at least $1.5B in economic activity from crypto mining within 5 years" is expected to hit the country. The investment that crypto will bring to the country will be a boost for Kazakhstan's development.

609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Slovenia getting ready to tax crypto. Will others follow? on: October 27, 2021, 09:23:22 PM
Slovenia is one of the Cryptocurrency Tigers around Europe. Last April the Finance Ministry of Slovenia proposed a law to levy a 10% tax on all fiat-to-crypto conversions and cryptocurrency transfers. Now the country is getting ready to start taxing cryptos. Given that this will work out as an experiment in the eyes of several countries if everything goes well many other countries in Europe should follow.

Thing is, it puzzles me how are they going to tax cryptos... what sort of technics will the country develop to track all cryptocurrencies in circulation?
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Russia doesn't wants its citizens earning with cryptos on: October 27, 2021, 06:13:10 PM
Dmitry Marinichev, a government official under President Vladimir Putin rule revealed in an interview that the country's regulatory position towards cryptocurrency will largely stay prohibitive. According to him, Russia doesn't want its citizens to earn money through cryptocurrency so, regulation will mainly stay the same despite the increase of crypto interest in the country.

This is basically more of the same. Russia trying to tackle cryptos while blinking an eye at the same time.

611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TV Commercials & How they attracting more clients in crypto industry. on: October 27, 2021, 12:34:21 PM

How do you see they impact the viewer?

Commercials play an important role when it comes to product presentation. So, yeah, they do have an impact. They can get to millions of viewers while being able to cast sudden interest of a big part of these viewers. They are very effective in spreading awareness but they are very expensive and for low budget marketing campaigns they are not an option.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China is thinking about unbanning bitcoin mining after price rise on: October 27, 2021, 09:53:29 AM
It's kind of fishy how China, bans and unbans bitcoin. They cannot simply ignore the importance of bitcoin in the future. The fact is that every time they do, they hugely impact price. It seems to me that it is all a planned move to get major Chinese investors to buy more coins at lower prices.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: October 26, 2021, 09:52:29 PM
Speaking of which, Banks are already feeling FOMO as they don't want to miss a piece of the pie. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Chair Jelena McWilliams came public saying Banks should hold cryptos such as Bitcoin
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: October 26, 2021, 01:16:39 AM
I don't know why I see threads like this where people talk about the "death" of fiat, banks or anything that comes in front of crypto? Why shouldn't fiat be used just as it was since decades?
Why to eradicate banks from our society? Banks only lend people for their businesses and not everyone here can afford to learn about crypto or join this revolution by buying the expensive cryptocurrencies. I'm not against crypto, but I guess we need everything we already have, plus a few new things for a better tomorrow. Why remove anything out of them for our convenience?

When I mention "death" in the post, I meant the death of the old financial regime where banks own your money. Ca'mon, it wouldn't be posted any other way. We are still slaves of a regime where we are forced to receive our payroll through a Bank. In case the government has something against you, they have the power to take over what is yours and freeze your bank accounts. while cryptos give you back the power over your money and total financial freedom, banks own your money and decide if and when you can access it or not. So, why shouldn't I be pledging over the "death" of a corrupt Banking system when there is already a better system at our disposal?
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Banks either adapt or face death on: October 25, 2021, 04:20:48 PM
The digital age brought our lives to a second universe - The internet. Ever since the internet set sail Banks had to adapt and present new services and options to their users. However, the digital also brought us digital money and financial freedom. Cryptocurrency is here to stay and is bound to disrupt the way we manage and relate with our money. Banks will need to adapt or they face certain death. While some Banks and financial institutions have been historically fighting cryptocurrency others have already understood the need to adapt to stay ahead of the curve as in the case of some Spanish Banks. Nevertheless, this is still a new technology and Governments with its old fashion regulation as well as their Central Banks are yet to implement adequate regulation and are still a bi hindrance for cryptos to go mainstream.

Luckily, things are changing rapidly and mainstream adoption may come sooner than we think. Do you guys think, this will happen within this decade or not?
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Using the blockchain to create a biometrics database on: October 24, 2021, 06:18:12 PM
As always, new inventions can be used good or for bad. Human nature is unforgiving and when new things come up people tend to use them for the wrong purposes. Of course, this had to happen with cryptocurrency as well. The ease with which fraudsters use it to scam people is one of many examples. But with the development of the blockchain and its many use cases, new applications that can pose serious questions are arising at a fast pace.

As an example, a new crypto project is trying to piece up a global hash database of its user's iris scans. Fact is that Snowden Twitted about it with some warnings regarding this project.

Biometrics are already used by several companies to identify and provide access to employees, and databases storing this information are centralized and so I wonder, to which point this could be a bad thing if this database is protected by a decentralized blockchain?
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to the price when all the bitcoins are mined? on: October 24, 2021, 02:14:02 PM
The maximum number of bitcoins that can be issued is fixed.Eighty percent of the coins have already been mined.

The big majority of the coins have already been issued. Currently, the reward per block is 6.25BTC which will decrease to 3.125BTC

Quote
What do you think will happen to the price after all the bitcoins have been mined?

I take it that if bitcoin still exists at that point the price will surge right before all coins have been issued.

What do you think will happen to the price once all the bitcoins are mined, and how do you think bitcoin will affect the global economy?

If bitcoin is still alive at that point it would mean that it went mainstream and probably adopted as the World currency. So, as said, I expect a price surge as scarcity will push the price to the moon and so forth and of course that this will have serious global implications.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: October 24, 2021, 11:05:10 AM
I certainly have learned to do that. back in the days, I started trading, I would always get in and right after the price would start to go the other way. I had to lose a lot of money to learn how to trade. I've learned that you need to know how to lose to learn how to earn. This means that you need to learn how to laugh when Blood is on the streets and profit from it!
619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Are we coming to the 5th wave? on: October 24, 2021, 01:15:29 AM
Alessio Rastani is one of the Elliot Wave (EV) Acholits and on his last video, the guy is saying that from the perspective of EV theory the big picture says we are coming to a 5th wave. I don't have any opinion on this, but from what the guy says the 5th wave is the point where the bear market is longer and deeper than the other Waves. According to him, this means bad news for bitcoin. I'm no expert in EV theory but the truth is that there are a lot of guys making accurate predictions using EV. What do you guys think about what this guy says?
620  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New website to monitor CryptoCurrency Correlation. What do you think? on: October 23, 2021, 07:39:08 PM
I have Created website where you can monitor real time prices and other important info in a convenient way.
The core idea is to display data from all exchanges (popular) at the same time. I've spend a lot of time and want you to review my work!
My website url: www.cryptocorrelator.com I sure, this project will become popular!

Good work. Congratulations, the site looks great and seems pretty useful. The interface seems pretty intuitive as well but I take it that it is still under development and will probably contain even more information. I have already signed up and will be using it as a tool in my day trade, thanks.
