601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I just compared the Vega 56 and 1070 and besides cryptonight they are not much on: January 17, 2018, 06:44:00 PM
Yes, that is correct as of now.
Until and unless someone else discovers a way to produce more hashrate in other algorithms.
Vega still performs pretty good but not worth the price as difficulty has caught up.

For the price I'm not seeing it to just have an advantage in 1 algo. Is it true that not many exchanges want to host cryptonight coins? Also have people ever made some kind of modifier drivers that gives higher hash rate,?

What is the best pound for pound card out today?
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / I just compared the Vega 56 and 1070 and besides cryptonight they are not much on: January 17, 2018, 03:35:37 PM
I used the what to mine site.

they are not much off on all the other algos. I wanted to get one, but is this vega 56 is just good for cryptonight? Even though I have a 1070  I wanted to put one in my personal pc to mine. I know the pro rig guys say this is frowned upon but I saw someone on-line in video had it running it

Is the Vega series just really good at that 1 cryptonight algo and the about adverage with all the other cards with the other algos? I'm trying to justify if it's worth getting vs another 1070 or 1080 ect

Just a friendly reminder that dev still not respond to the fact that 5000+ blocks mined before launch.

What does this mean? I'm new so I don't understand. Does this mean that because they did this it's slowing down the system?

For example the coin is new but I can only get like 30-35 a day on 1 1070. This is my first time mining a coin this new but I thought I would be able to get alot more.if I'm not mistaken once the coin gets more popular that I will only get less.

Can the miners who mine with the asic mine with this coin? Maybe someone who knows a bit more can let us know

Go to youtube and start watching videos about mining. Read and study.

I did read. And I did watch. I have installed so many files and wallets on my machine I wonder about it's safety. I have now gone to just logging into my email and such and everything on my phone and don't really care since everything is on a PC that's always offline

I have never witnessed the birth of a coin. I would like to see what happens now. I always hear about people bashing a coin because it doesn't have a white paper but I was told monero didn't have a white paper when it came out. It might be monero or it might be another coin but one that's worth hundreds.

606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTZ] LitecoinZ - The true Litecoin 2.0 on: January 17, 2018, 01:32:37 AM
Hi folks,

Please run a full LitecoinZ node and post your IP address here: https://github.com/litecoinz-project/litecoinz/issues/1

Please run the LitecoinZ seed and post your IP address here: https://github.com/litecoinz-project/litecoinz/issues/3

LitecoinZ is a new coin and started public mining today, so we need a lots of nodes and seeds to be fully decentralized.

Thanks,
The LitecoinZ developers

Im new and would like to help but im new and know the basics, maybe a team member can help me out. let me know. They would have to guide me through the hard parts

So much dodgy/scammy stuff has happening with b3 in the last few months in unbelievable.

They need to get the mods to lock these scam coin threads
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] STRAKS - Decentralised, Open Source, Community Driven Digital Currency on: January 16, 2018, 01:59:41 PM
Which Exchanges are planning and when to buy STRAKS?

STRAKS will be launching on HitBTC in February. The exact date will be published across all STRAKS communication channels as soon as it is established.

I would not put your coin on that exchange. I'm not investing in your coin if it's on places like hitbtc yobit coins control coinsmarket or any of the other exchange scams out there.

Leave it on kucoin and binance and be done with it
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MUSICOIN] Musicoin Embedded Player & New Online Forum! 🎸🎸 on: January 16, 2018, 01:00:47 PM
when you mine this coin do you only get the block rewards? I was mining and it doesnt pay me in tiny little peices every now and then like the other mines do, any place where I can mind that you recommend ?

http://music.orchardcoins.com/ If you like transparency and 0 fees, you'll get paid less "often" compared to a bigger pool like http://musicoin.miningclub.info which has a 0.5% fee.

Basically you'll get paid the same in the long run whatever pool you choose, but you have to factor in the luck of a pool, if it's not lucky, you won't be having much luck either.

Total coin supply is uncapped at the moment, that could all change in the future.

so nobody knows how many coins this coin has?
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't a proof of stake just a sneaky little word for ICO? on: January 16, 2018, 12:46:56 PM
They are wildly different because with POS you will have a coin on the market but ICO means you have to trust the team and hope they come to market. Completely different in every regard I don't even know how you came to compare the two. Sneaky words for ICO are ones like TGE (token generation event) not POS that is actual mining bro.

so if I open up and empty wallet and leave it online with no coins I will start to get paid?
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't a proof of stake just a sneaky little word for ICO? on: January 16, 2018, 03:42:35 AM
Proof of Stake is a great way for people to generate coins without having to buy hardware.  Either way, there is a cost associated with getting up and running with mining or staking.  You have to pay to play.

yeah but if you invest in a GPU you can always sell it or play games with it or mine with it

with this proof of stake, if your coin goes south you lost your investment. With a GPU you can always mine another coin.

Im going to stay away from POS for now on, should be called piece of shit if you ask me, they wont even give you a coin for letting you use your pc and electricity, at least with  CPU miner you can get something
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: January 16, 2018, 03:35:50 AM
so I just started mining this coin, are you saying that its not worth mining this coin with my 1 1070 because there are savages with those big loud hot bitcoin machines that its to hard and I only get like 1 a day or something?

No that is not what is being said. The Asic SIA miners are not slated for release until July 2018.

Until then, GPU mine away. You should see an increase in SIA coins that you mine as of Jan 21 2018.

oh ok, and when the asic miners come out, a po miner like me with 1 1070 doesnt stand a change right?

what happens on jan 21 2018? why will I be seeing more coins?
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crave: NextGen on: January 16, 2018, 03:29:02 AM
How to work staking in new wallet?
I have 1000 new coins and status: not saking. What can I do for start staking?

Same Question

did you buy these coins or did you open up your wallet let the crave coin use your pc and get paid in coins?
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRON (TRX) is going crazy. on: January 16, 2018, 03:06:53 AM
Hey I have tron I saw it go up and and saw it come down. Is it true the owner of trx  dumped his coins or something?

I need to follow this more, as coin owners have been dumping their coins and then causing everyone else to dump their coins, should have sold it high and bought more low, gotta remember that next time

What the fuck are you even on about guys? Masternodes are scam? ICO's are scam? What?
Neither business model is by itself a scam. Now if a project disappears with your money, that is a scam.

Masternode perfect for both you and the developers, their coin value rises, but so does yours and you get more coins in return.
ICO is the perfect way to kickstart a project, admittedly, most of the projects ask for way too much money, but then again, you don't have to invest if you don't like it.

big difference is that as a miner you can mine and become part of something and gain wealth maybe

if I just download leave my wallet open with a proof of stake coin and I have 0 coins how many coins do I make a day week month for letting a POS coin use my PC or what ever? Will I get like 20 or 30 a day ?  0 a day?
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Can I mine blake2b + Ethash on 1070 and CryptoNight on vega 56 in 1 pc? on: January 16, 2018, 02:20:43 AM
I like the idea of being able to dual mine on my 1070, I started today dual mining sia and musicoin. I was mining cryptonight on my 1070 with xmr stak program.

I really like the vega 56, and there is an extra slot in my PC that I can put it in. Now im not someone whos about to get 10 video cards right now, but I do like if I could mine more algos if the 1070 and vega 56 can live together in personal pc

has anyone out there tried this? I havent made a purchase yet and I do have the money I just dont want to make any mistakes and deal with blue screens and the such, or deal with issues that nobody can help me with.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't a proof of stake just a sneaky little word for ICO? on: January 16, 2018, 01:40:36 AM
So if I mine with my gpu I get paid in coins
Maybe I'm wrong but I see alot of new coins offering masternodes for owning a certain amount but since it can't be mined there only other way to to buy the coins and stake. them

How is this not like an ico where you have to buy in to maybe get rewards later?
That's why people are calling the master nodes coin just like ico, you must buy certain amount to able staking your coin or to become the master nodes. It's a little bit lie in my opinion.
In ico you can get it so cheap and in master nodes you must pay more to get yourcoin. As far as i understand about there is no different between ico and masternodes.

yeah I kind of figured this . im learning more as I go along but POS and masternodes seem like a scam
