604  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How are altcoins collateral on: March 27, 2015, 03:30:56 PM
If someone believes the LTC/BTC exchange rate will increase then they would take that loan.

No, what im saying is that if you already have the amount of money you need in altcoins what would be the point of asking for a loan

It's very simple...they are asking for a loan despite the fact that they already have funds available.
They just don't want to risk their own money but hope to turn the loan money into a profit.

That makes no sense because they are giving a collateral thats worth 120% of the loan wich is THEIR money so they are actually risking more money.

Have you ever heard of leverage?

Lets assume you have 10000 LTC. and you think in the next 4 weeks LTC will go up drastically. You can now borrow 50 BTC and give the 10000 LTC as collateral. Now you buy more LTC with that BTC and now have nearly 20000 LTC long position. So instead of selling LTC and buying LTC ( ...) you can go the collateral loan route.

That is also how financial markets work basically, but due to repercussion, they can offer a lower collateral and thus a higher leverage.

You can buy BTC via SEPA on https://www.coinimal.com and you get the price locked in when entering the order. So even if it takes 24h for the SEPA to arrive, you will get that price. There is account verification needed though.

10-20 BTC per order are no problem at all. Upto 5000€ per day can be bought.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption ends[Updates&Discussion] on: March 26, 2015, 09:49:37 PM
Will NEM be on poloniex at launch?
PM me please if you know the answer. Thanks!
608  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: March 23, 2015, 06:32:20 PM
I've had vanitygen looking for a particular vanity prefix (6 letters) for about 5 days (not on the greatest hardware, admittedly, i'm getting 350Kkeys/s).  Nevertheless, I've been at 99.4% probability for 2 days now still with no results.  Could something be wrong or am I just unlucky?

Code:
[349.32 Kkey/s][total 144105239092][Prob 99.4%]

Unlucky. The 99.4% doesn't that you are close to finding it. Acutally no matter how long you have already searched, it will always take the same average time from that moment on.

The 99.4% means that if you searched for the amount of time you did, the chance of you finding one key would be 99.4%. So you are just a few standarddeviations from your average. No need to be alarmed.
609  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoins kaufen via Sofortüberweisung über Commerzbank on: March 23, 2015, 05:15:38 PM

Mia Culpa.

@BlueBitAUT

Das Projekt ist nicht gestorben, sondern als Coinimal.com rebrandet worden! Hier sieht man auch wie lange es im Endeffekt gedauert hat, bis wir am Markt waren, über ein Jahr Planungs- und Vorbereitungsphase.

615  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinimal.com is arguably the most convenient way to sell BTC and receive EUR. on: March 23, 2015, 04:09:28 PM
How do you deal with fraud?  E.g stolen bankaccounts. Also stolen scans of ID cards seems not a problem for scammers.

As far as I know, if just a single fraud happen, your receiving bank account gets shut down (that's why I do not trade p2p).
So how do you prevent such things or why your bank acounts get not shut down?

When customers want to buy BTC from us, they have to get their account verified, so that what you said, doesn't happen.

This thread was about selling BTC, in that case only our bank account is involved and there is no fraud or charge-back risk.

616  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: March 23, 2015, 01:58:53 PM
What happens when one offers a swap and its taken, then the loan is paid back earlier than the said timeframe... will the swap still run as if that didnt happen so that i dont notice that or would i need to offer those coins as a swap again?

The latter, that's why bots/autorenew/notifications come in handy.

By the way... whats the story with swaps offered for half of the normal orderbook rate?
Probably people with autorenew at fixed rates who are on holiday or so? It is up to every actor to choose how much return they actually want and also how much they are willing to pay... If you only want to earn 3%/year, you can do that too, even though it might be smarter to check first if someone offers to pay you more.

Thanks sukrim. I noticed that bitfinex now only has one decimal anymore on orderbook. Does that mean that further decimals are rounded completely or that they are shown rounded only? Wondering if a offer at a certain price will be eaten or if other bidders could use a slightly different decimal in order to get before my offer, without me seeing it.

There is a +/- located above the order book where you can zoom in/out

similir to kraken right?

you could maybe rise the 500 up per day to 1k at least, it would be better

fee seems high compared to kraken, but i like the fast SEPA

does it require documentation? it's really important for me

Kraken may ask for ID even with lower amounts, this is due to the fact that they indeed hold your funds, we never do that.

You need to register using an email address, that's it.

As for the 500€ per day, we might raise that in the future. For now its 500€ unverified and 5000€ for verified users. But that is per account Wink

PS: we don't charge any direct fees, just the price on the site is about 1% lower than bitstamp.

actually kraken ask for id, only for amount above $2k per day or 10k per month

oh 5k for verified it's good, for verified you mean just name and address right?

Verified is fully verified as in documents submitted, this has to be done, because we are shipping out bitcoins instantly after they are bought.

But I agree that the daily limit for selling bitcoins should be higher, I will talk to the team now.
