Seems to be a temp. problem with equihash, worked fine before.

Workaround: Activate equihash only, put something in there manually and let it mine... exchange with the right hash score... activate the other algos ...done.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Should Claymore continue DEV work on ZEC miner ? on: November 29, 2016, 07:47:03 PM
He did damn good... just leave him his devfee as long as he wants it or use another miner.
Thought about that he could have raised the devfee while raising the mining speed for us? 10% more for us .. 1% more for him... but he didn´t.

Because of his work "everyone" gets way more than 2% ... compared to before.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best GPU's For Mining? on: November 26, 2016, 03:58:03 PM
Can someone tell me why the 4GB HIS Radeon RX 470 iCooler OC does only consume 75W instead of 120W like "normal" RX470 gpus?! Couldn´t find any difference so far.

What kind of GPUs do you use? RX400?
What about the power consumption?

Changes?
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: November 23, 2016, 03:34:47 PM
Well... maybe I can help to fix this annoying bug.

I tried to benchmark cryptonight + equi only... worked.

So I thought that it must have to do something with one or more algos but not all of them or that the function itself is "broken".

I deselected X13 and my rig is going through ALL other algos.. benchmarking them.

So it seems to me that there is a problem with X13 OR maybe the starting routine of the benchmark?!
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: November 23, 2016, 01:11:29 PM
Thx for the great support so far!

I just edited my last post.. your calc has no data for a rx460 equihash (for example). Since I do have a rig with 460´s this is important for me. So I thought about trying out every algo manually.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: November 23, 2016, 12:55:13 PM
Alright so what I´m going to do is deactivate all algos but one.. start mining and transfer the hashrate manually .. deactivate the algo, activate the next one... and so on.

Should be the best option in my case, right? (since there aren´t any proper settings for my cards)

Any advice for the atikmdag.sys / bluescreen problem?

reinstalled os (win7), different catalyst drivers, driver deinst. tools... nothing worked so far... RX400 gpus

Standalone miners like claymore are performing well.

It looks like this is happening only on benchmark, so we need to look into that first.
But so far I can't give any advice on that, sorry.

Means you recommend to mine without doing a benchmark first / negate the benchmark? Will try

Already got rx470er rigs ;-) Just wanted to know if anyone has a smart idea regarding altcoins / mining... instead of selling them for a few bucks.

I already have modern rigs running but I have a bunch of old HP Quadro NVS 290 and Radeon HD 2600 XT too.. any idea how to make profit through mining with them?

What Catalyst Version do you recommend? 1512?

616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for advice - Rig (Noisetaker 600W / RX4XX) on: November 18, 2016, 09:13:47 AM
You´re talking about the Noisetaker 2??! Shocked
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for advice - Rig (Noisetaker 600W / RX4XX) on: November 18, 2016, 05:21:11 AM
So I´m going to get a 470 for the 2nd rail and that´s it... (coins are already in my wallet from 2013 ;-) ) than getting a decent PSU later on and more 470s.

Thanks guys, especially philipma1957! That was really helpful!

That it is why I am asking for advice ;-)
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Looking for advice - Rig (Noisetaker 600W / RX4XX) on: November 17, 2016, 08:29:51 PM
Hey,

I just found some (old) parts.. trying to put them together to another mining rig ;-)

PSU: Noisetaker 2 600W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194005)
MB: old Gigabyte: x16 + 4x x1 = 5 PCI-e
CPU: Athlon 45W
8GB Ram
Win7 SSD
1x RX460 4GB, no 6Pin

---

Since the PSU has already got 2x 6Pin connectors I´m thinking of:

- x16 --> RX460 4GB no 6Pin + powered riser
- x1 --> RX470 6Pin no.1 + powered riser
- x1 --> RX470 6Pin no.2 + powered riser

around 300W for the 3 GPUs right? Won´t overclock .. but undervolt if anything.

---

What to do with the remaining 2 x1 PCI-e sockets?

1. 2 more RX470s would be too much for the PSU I guess?
2. 1 more RX470 (molex to 6Pin + powerd riser) and leave one socket empty? Or + a RX460 no 6Pin?
2 2 more RX460s no 6Pin with powered risers?

Any idea? Please do not forget.. the PSU is around 10 years old ;-)

Thanks for any advice / suggestion!
