601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Corona Virus was predicted but it will soon vanish on: March 17, 2020, 06:53:25 PM

I don't know how the person was able to come up with such predictions but all I can say is that, the virus is affecting all financial systems, in fact everything. Borders are closing, mass gatherings are being banned, sports events are on hold etc, so we can only hope and pray the cure comes up sooner than later or let it vanish as predicted. Nevertheless, we will come out of it stronger, better and more informed with all that was lost being regained as well. As for the crypto space, it has come to stay and will surely bounce back as well.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are your safe haven now? on: March 17, 2020, 06:29:16 PM
Hey

So, since the crisis has just begun imo, which coins are you guys holding? who do you trust?

I am a proud holder of NWC, KAVA, and BAT for some time now. Or at least I wish I could say I'm proud for all them haha. Kava and Bat are testing my patience lately, but I ain't sellin'!! Time to buy more..

Whereas these NwC guys came up with a solution on how to keep HODLers in these tough times. Some sort of Holders event, exciting idea for me as a holder type of guy.

But, that's my opinion.

What about you Bitcointalk people?

What's your story?

Which coin is your safe haven?

Ideas will vary of course but as it stands now, I can say there are mostly two safe havens now or 2 coins which can act as a safe havens and they are USDT and Bitcoin. Once the market was dumping many people converted to USDT to reduce loss while most who are long term holders stuck to their Bitcoin owing to the fact that it always offers more chances of survival and profit once the market changes for good. Also, there are some people holding both of them just to be on the safer side. Ethereum, in my own opinion can also be a safe haven but Bitcoin offers faster and more reliable chances than it.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why every IEO on P2PB2B exchange? on: March 16, 2020, 06:49:38 PM

I used to wonder that too but then I realized that, any project doing IEO on P2PB2B is only but joking, the team not serious and nothing more; how can a project conduct IEO on an exchange known for not helping any project to grow? There have been many bad reports about projects performing IEO on that exchange and more are still going there all because of the cheap listing fee. Also, a project with low volume and price far below IEO, how can it attract more investors and users? In my own opinion and understanding, no serious team that cares about their project will list on that exchange not when there are good exchanges to start with.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Wallets, AnkerPay on: March 16, 2020, 06:33:28 PM

This is my first time of coming across it and from the look of things it seems to be a good one. Nowadays, switching to a new wallets might be a tough decision owing to the fact one might end up risking his funds unnecessarily.
Nevertheless I have been using trust wallet for a while now and haven't seen another wallet better than it, but there is no harm in checking out and making my findings about a new one perhaps it might be better than trust wallet.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: March 16, 2020, 06:24:24 PM
My first thought was to put it in to Altcoins, Like
Ethereum
RSR
Theta
EOS

These would be my picks 100% Which coin would you leave out or add to that?

I was also thinking
Of Buying a Masternode and run it on a Vps, but I have 0 experience with that and I was looking for one and joined a few discords, and it was kinda a shitshow.
So I dont know how to look for good ones yet and it's a bigger risk then Altcoins in my opinion from what I have seen.
Does anybody have any experience with running a Masternode and how did that go for you?

A mining rig is probably to expensive, also the powercosts in my country are not that great so not really a option I think.

Create my own T-shirt Company
I know a Artist I could pay for a design or maybe even a collaboration where he could earn a % of the sales from the t-shirts.
Also have the fabric I want and all the idea's ready to go, this would probably be the most work, creating social media's, trying to get in retail stores, create a brand, and a lot more of course!

If you have any other ideas your welcome to add them, and let me know what you would do!

Having an offline investment is also a good idea, if you truly have passion for it and you believe all ideas are set then I would suggest you go for it, if there is nothing left, you can start with either Bitcoin or Ethereum later on; in any case, the profit from the T-shirt company you can put some into crypto and some back to the business or personal savings. Also, if you think half of the money can successfully launch the T-shirt company, then go for it, for the remaining half, wait a bit as the market isn't looking good for now, study the market and know when to buy and hold Bitcoin as it stands a better chance of giving more gains.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum versus EOS January, 2020 on: March 15, 2020, 08:36:32 PM
Probably many cryptocurrencies enthusiast have seen the competive mood this two altcoins have engaged into. Ethereum is currently hosting about 2,746 dAppsve while the next nearest competitor, EOS, is currently hosting 320 dApps. Last month EOS out performed Ethereum on transaction volume inrespective of this few Dapps on the Network. Hope to see EOS taking the place of Ethereum and solving the issues it's yet to solve.

Do you have any contrary view? Kindly share for learning purpose.

With what Ethereum has achieved in a good number of years I would say it will be hard to be replaced by any altcoin at all just like Bitcoin will be hard to be replaced by any coin. Most times I see EOS as a difficult blockchain to use but Ethereum on the other hand is very fluid and easy to go with. Most projects always launch on Ethereum blockchain why? Because they see that it is better and more convenient to start with; the difference between projects under Ethereum and those under the other blockchains is huge. In addition, with the upcoming upgrade to Proof-of-Stake (POS) I believe Ethereum will take care of various issues within its platform.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market stability is not ascertain. We might fall again on: March 15, 2020, 08:25:46 PM
As a result of the current world crisis regarding the pandemic virus spread that have ravaged the world and still not stopping. this has affected global markets including stocks, fortunes, commodities, oil prices. everything is crashing. a lot of accounts has been liquidated on trading platform. within two weeks. billions has dissappeared due to current virus crisis.

As long as this persist, we are not sure how long the market will survive. there is little hope. everyone needs to be careful. when to move funds. Most countries are already in deflection. the situation is making matters worst. it looks like the end of the world.
Honestly, 2020 was not what we all expected.

Actually that's true, 2020 is not what anyone expects starting from this virus of a thing which is bringing most activities in many countries to a standstill, borders are being closed, flight are being cancelled and many more. But however I believe this unfortunate events will soon pass most especially now every government has gone deep into research of a cure with some giving a timeline on when a cure will be found. Also there are cases of recovery too which is a good sign. Therefore, I would say despite the fact the market isn't favourable as a result of this issue but yet it has come to stay, the issues will only linger for a while and once everything starts returning to normalcy the market will adjust. Lastly, it is in the nature of the crypto space to be unpredictable which leads to volatility therefore in all dealings one needs to be careful.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins founders need hire one that complement their efforts, please. on: March 15, 2020, 08:16:18 PM
Sometimes ago I was asked a simple question about some altcoins projects existence that fade away with time. In other word, why are many altcoins founders decided to focus on tech undermining what they are called for in life, some are good in generating business ideas but aren't good in tech.  We have seem cases of such with many projects without a tangible result, names withheld.

For any altcoin project to survive and succeed, the founder should understand what his call is concerning the project, they should know where they are good at and participate,  not interfering into others areas of specialization. Probably, Satoshi has business ideas and was also good on tech but others should not follow suits like him/her. This has destroyed many good projects from the surface of cryptosphere and should be voice out. Let every founder place priority over the area he or she specializes in and not doing all things at the same time without a good result.

Here are good examples: Google boys has Eric Schmidt, Facebook has Sheryl and Microsoft has Steve B. Looking at these projects, they survived and still surviving because of the hiring.

Therefore, altcoins founders should hire those techs to complement them on the techs side of the project. We are tired of half baked projects around us without a good case use.

What do you think we should emphasis in this matter?

From my own understanding I think the key word there is "right' team, not just anyhow team but the right one where everyone knows and plays their part judiciously without being told what to do so in case of any shortcomings he/she can successfully handle it without hassles. Being a CEO doesn't mean you have to oversee other segment of the project, just focus on the area you are good at and trust the other team members to play their part well, since everyone is aiming for one common goal which is "success" of the platform.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (Yes or NO) The 2020s belong to DEXs on: March 14, 2020, 10:24:35 AM
When up-and-coming DEXs become more convenient than Binance...

Projects like:

Stakenet
Komodo Atomic DEX
Nash
Blocknet
Bisq
Switcheo
Loopring
IDEX
WAVES
Bithumb
...And many more...

Why would anyone ever want to keep using centralized exchanges, especially when their volume becomes irrelevant?

Why would anyone voluntarily send their funds to a wallet on a vulnerable exchange where they don't own the keys and their funds could be frozen at the drop of a hat?

I think the days of centralized figureheads acting as gatekeepers are numbered.

Although I only know and have used just a few number of DEXs here, but I won't fail to say that DEXs is still way behind starting with the prominent issue which is low volume especially when it is compared to centralized exchanges. It is totally true that Decentralized exchanges gives more sense of security but crypto users are willing to trade that security for high volume on centralized exchanges, that is to show how important it is. Therefore in my own understanding, DEXs needs to do more to gain the attention of more users starting with volume and maybe user interface.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea Parliament Legalizes Crypto on: March 14, 2020, 10:17:31 AM
South Korea followed the footsteps of India in terms of legalizing cryptocurrency trading and holding after passing a new amendment.

READ THE COMPLETE ARTICLE BELOW....  https://worldpublicityblog.com/index.php/2020/03/09/south-korea-parliament-legalizes-crypto/

First was India and now South Korea which have a good number of crypto users. This is really good and encouraging because unlike in the past where blockchain and crypto isn't regarded but nowadays countries are seeing the need to adopt it thus making their citizens to fully enjoy what others have been enjoying without unnecessary restrictions. This also shows that prior to contrary opinion, blockchain and therefore cryptocurrencies has come to stay and it won't take much time for other countries with restrictions to lift to, legalize it and start seeing the opportunities it offers.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a Crypto Wallet, Do You Need One? on: March 14, 2020, 10:10:58 AM
Crypto wallet is a wallet used in storing cryptocurrencies and it is used by everyone in this crypto world no matter the category the person falls to. There are many types of wallet also, some are specific to a certian blockchain like XLM, ETH and so on while some isn't specific to any blockchain coins that is to say, it can be used to store varieties of coins easily. Some can be accessed via the website as well as mobile app in the case of XLM and some are easily accessible via mobile application. Also, every crypto wallet is secured by a private key or whichever the creators aims to use thus in some cases  a mnemonic phrases.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: March 13, 2020, 05:37:43 PM
Becareful of fake promises from new projects, some use cases can never be possible on blockchain and many don't know this, I've neglected some projects because of this, why are investors fooling themselves? The warning that says ' stay away from offers that are too good to be true' is not entirely talking about profits only, sometimes it's more than that, how can we be promised that a city will use A.I technology when no single A.I project is successful in crypto space? Be wise fellas, some things will never work on blockchain, at least not this time

Although I will not be too quick to tag all A.I projects as scams but I won't fail to point out that most projects ideas do not look achievable. Most projects just come up with beautiful written ideas and whitepaper to attract investors and nothing more hence the reason it's good to look beyond what's written on whitepaper and ask the team tactical questions to ascertain their level of knowledge on what they want to build. Most of the times they will ignore such questions, ban the person or even give irrelevant answer. Therefore it's about time we know that most teams will do everything possible to lay their hands on funds hence the need to analyse their idea to know if it is achievable or not.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are calling projects as scam when they are in a bear market? on: March 13, 2020, 05:31:10 PM
I kinda noticed that people will just easily call a project scam without even researching about the project, their judgement is solely based on the price and does not consider that most altcoins are affected by the bear market. If they can't change their mentality, this would affect the reputation of the project, this is like destroying a project's reputation in bad times, instead of helping them.

First any person tagging a project scam just because the price is not encouraging without taking a look on if the project is really developing or not is wrong. Also, it is true that bear market affects all coins but even at that there are most projects survives the bear market and continue growing even though the price might not be what it was while there are others that once hit by bear market tends to start dying slowly, hence the reason they are being tagged scam. In addition, projects which survives bear market are projects which have something to offer thus whether low price or not continue growing, improving etc.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters and Investors, Who values Cryptocurrencies More? on: March 13, 2020, 05:25:22 PM
As a start i think both of them want the same thing, that is, both values cryptocurrencies more and I can't say one values it more than the other. Investors spends their time and money to invest through this way bringing the project to life, thus they will surly value the token in question and once given the opportunity will sell for profit. On the other hand, bounty hunters, spends their time and effort to promote the project to a larger audience through this way attracting more investors, also once given the opportunity will sell for profit. Thus it can be seen that, without bounty hunters most investors might not know about the project in the same way without investors the project might not come to life.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advise needed. We have a great project. ICO, IEO or Private Sales? on: March 11, 2020, 02:58:26 PM
Hi guys,

We have a very good project and we can't decide if we should launch an IEO, ICO or Private Sales.

What are your suggestions?

From my own opinion, private sales is good but most times project teams prefers ICO or IEO. Now with ICO gone owing to the bad reputation surrounding it, IEO is now a better option but however comes with certain obligations. First, you will need to showcase what you are bringing to the crypto space which will make every investment worth it, this comes in the form of MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or more preferably a working product; with this at hand shows that the team is out for a change therefore giving investors the right mindset to invest. Secondly, it is not a must to list on top exchanges for IEO especially when the funds isn't available as it is quite expensive, but instead there are other good and medium exchanges to launch an IEO. Thirdly, having the right set of team who are willing to update the community on their progress will in turn make the community a good one thus leading to a good and groundbreaking platform success during and after IEO.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resist all temptation to fomo on: March 10, 2020, 07:41:31 PM
Im sure we are all aware what fomo means.

Bitcoin has indeed ran a good race to over 10 000$ and it has pushed up the prices of altcoins simultaneously

Do a proper root research before getting into altcoins, resist all temptation to fomo.

Because when btc moons, the dead alts can rise momentarily only

NB, FOMO is not a good feeling during the bulls

Anyone who can adequately overcome Fomo has succeeded in learning the important basics of the crypto space. Fomo dealt with many traders who later learnt and also, it is still dealing with a good number of traders till today, it is something that should be avoided at all times no matter how tempting it is to enter that trade or market. Also, you made a good point about altcoins, when the market booms some dead altcoins will show little sign, but it is just to get to investors etc hence the reason why no matter how good the altcoin might look during that time, make your research properly.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2020 be the year of Litecoin? on: March 10, 2020, 07:32:06 PM
Litecoin is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency, built out of a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain. It’s often referred to as the silver to Bitcoin’s gold, and with a bitcoin bull run almost certainly on the cards, will Litecoin follow suit and reach an all-time high?

This article seems to its will: https://www.tap.global/is-ltc-set-for-a-2020-ath

So, is LTC set for a 2020 ATH?

It is true that Litecoin is one of the good coins we have today but setting an ATH this year is what I can't contribute to. The market isn't friendly at all, everyone is getting wise, some going for what they believes in, some are going for profit, thus with the proper improvements, upgrades and so on Litecoin will surge in price, but the ATH to be attained depends on the market. Lastly, I no longer find it easy believing most news on predictions because it hardly plays out.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ???? AFRAID OF NEW PROJECTS !!! ? on: March 09, 2020, 08:05:00 PM
Why do you think that everyone is afraid that some of the new projects
some people without doing any research,    They despise a project, which makes other people agree.
is this lack of literacy in the study makes them fail ?
Does this lack of information bring down a project, that MAY have a bright future ?

I don't think the entire crypto community will despise a project, it might be a few group who doesn't like something about it, but saying the everyone despising a project is not possible. Also, despising a project is a personal thing, people will always ask questions, find faults etc and it is the duty of the project team to prove everyone wrong. Yes, the new project might be one which will have a future at the same time might be one which will exit scam, so the need to ask relevant questions matter; thus, somehow despising might be good as it can set the team on the right path. Furthermore, most people tend to follow what they hear, and in cases where the project turns out good they only blame themselves thus changing their mindset about every new projects. Lastly, not all new projects are bad but the need to make adequate research before investing matters a lot.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good project or Useless projects! on: March 09, 2020, 07:56:02 PM
I need some details about this project "Hypnoxys". This token already listed in coinmarketcap and number is almost 16**. But I'm still curious to know is this project still legit to everyone. Here is some details about this project https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110522.0

From little search it shows the project lacks adequate growth nor does it have a good volume at all. So in my own opinion, no good growth can be seen as a project which is dying or already dead. If you are just seeking information about it, then you have it, but if you are thinking of investing in it, then I urge you to think twice about it and instead take your time to check other trust altcoins, if possible starting with top altcoins. Most projects are really not worth it, so don't give them that attention.
