well, im already developing a project for such task, so sorry  Wink
If you are actually serious than I implore you to adopt a more coin friendly method of multi-mining, a method such as what coin shift is using.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: thoughts on the new KNC scrypt miner & the effect it will have on scrypt mining on: March 25, 2014, 03:21:05 AM
Can I know the reason you actually invested in 2 of those? I've been running numbers and even when I'm optimistic, those miners, once they hit the market, will never see ROI.
If you hope LTC will jump in value than you should of just bought LTC.
So why on earth did you invest so much without doing basic homework? And if you did, can I see your numbers?

the people who get them first will be fine. it is the people who get them months late AND after the
asic companies mine the crap out of them.. will be in rough shape.

KNC will obviously mine the shit out of the chips before shipping.

It is a race to the bottom. I agree buying some cheap LTC would probably be smarter if you think it will go up.
That's the thing, I ran the numbers for those who will get the FIRST batch (3 months from now which is the middle of KnCs target date) and even those people won't see ROI.

You'll be lucky to see ROI on this by the time it hits the market.

And rest assured that they will be mining with those prior to shipping, boosting difficulty even more.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: cgminer 3.7.2 won't work with scrypt on: March 21, 2014, 03:03:41 AM
Try downloading cgminer from a different source, alternatively you can try sgminer 4.1

in this thread: http://www.overclock.net/t/1461916/tutorial-ultimate-guide-to-tweaking-amd-cgminer-3-7-2-kalroth-edition-sgminer-instructions-included-aswell-get-the-most-hash-out-of-your-gpu
you'll have links to both sgminer 4.1 and cgminer 3.7.3 (aka 3.7.2 Kalroth edition).

Hello there, I'm trying to mine monacoin but every time i use this command  cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://mona.milkteafuzz.com:7777 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password. I get a failed to init GPU thread 0. Any help?
There should be a more detail error message and error number right before this message, what is it?

Also, make sure you got the following lines at the top of your bat file (assuming you're using Windows):
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

Just to clear up some things.
Something I noticed and should be corrected is that our prices are in GBP and we deliver on June.
Not July,August or maybe a year from now Smiley
We really want to stay out of batch orders and tactics that smell like scam.
Anyone that makes an order gets the product after about 50-55 business days(delivered at his door.
Only first stock will be intentionally delayed to match our Indiegogo customers,
we do not want to make Indiegogo supporters to feel they do not enjoy same quality services.
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 20, 2014, 09:15:09 PM
Well there was 169% hour one hour before and 189% one hour after that 45% hour. I seriously consider stop publishing hourly stats as they only make people confused.

Of course we mine LTC when it's the most profitable. You just can't find the same number of blocks every day/hour/minute/second.

If you throw a dice with 1-6 numbers on it, you will get 3.50 result on average. But you will never actually throw 3.50 in one throw. Sometimes you throw 5 or 6, sometimes you throw 1 or 2. You understand that, don't you? In long-term average you will get 3.50, but average of three throws can be anywhere between 1.00 and 6.00.

Mining coins is no different. The shorter the timespan the more variance there will be. Guess what. If you check minute-by-minute stats you will find a lot of 0% minutes and some 3000% minutes. If you check second-by-second stats you will find mostly 0% seconds and the second when we find a LTC block will have 180,000%. You don't find a block every second. You don't find a block every minute. You don't find the same number of blocks every hour.

Never saw it hit 0% (probably would indicate you messed up), and I have definitely not seen it breach 3000%, or hell, 180,000%!! LMAO! Either you have a better insight on stats, and should provide similar data for miners on your pool, or you are a hell of an exaggerator.
What wasn't clear in what he said? The shorter the time span sample the higher the variance. If he does a 1h time span average than the odds of you actually seeing 3000% or 0% (whether real or not) are virtually non-existent but it might still be fluctuating enough to show profitability as low as 45% or as high as 180%. If you'd look at the 1 day average than the odds of seeing 45% or 180% will become nearly impossible.

Seeing extreme probabilities to either side (0% or 3000%) will require him to show you the average in time scale of minutes or even seconds.

TBH Terk, you should just do it a daily average and not hourly.

BTW Terk, merged mining, how does that sound to you?
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bliss Devices Announces Higher Performance Miners on: March 20, 2014, 07:59:23 PM
Couldn't agree more.  Unfortunately that's the risk you take to get product early and potentially get higher ROI.  Wish it could be different!
Such bullshit.

This retarded pre-order business is still happening because greed and BFL met one dark night, that's it. From there to set it as common ground to all future endeavors in the cryptocurrency world is just outrageous.

Not to mention you have ZERO credibility to ask for pre-order money from people.

P.S. From your website:
Quote
The founding team has over 20+ years of experience in the semiconductor, network security, and cryptocurrency industries
20+ in the crypto industry (as if) and you never released a SHA-256 ASIC miner (with all your decades of experience) which is easier and cheaper to make than a Scrypt one?

610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU Only Coins- Whats the current front runner / Most Profitable? on: March 20, 2014, 06:05:58 AM
PTS can be mined with GPUs... I did for a while when it was profitable to do so.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zeus S-Flex Portable USB 300Kh/s Scrypt ASIC Miner on: March 18, 2014, 11:05:11 PM
If these things are so efficient and powerful why won't they just plug the machines and mine crypto themselves?

SCAM

Back during the great gold rush the people selling picks and shovel made way more money selling tools than people striking gold and getting super rich! Just because someone has all the tools doesnt make it effecient/profitable to use them

Why do people keep bringing up this retarded analogy? When you wanna strike gold you first of all need to FIND the gold, which is what consumed most of the time and the money(traveling, ground testing, paper work, etc).
Not to mention you needed someone to be there, physically, to mine it.

With cryptocurrency all you gotta do is connect the damn miner to the plug and viola, gold.

If a seller of shovels during the gold rush would just strike gold wherever he lands his shovel he's just mine the gold himself. If it was anything similar to cryptocurrency you'd see thousand of people surrounding his shop mining gold.
Quite the sight I'd imagine.

Thank you for reminding me why I should not continue to waste my time on these forums.  I have encountered some very intelligent people here, but you are most certainly not one of them.  They have also shown themselves to be smarter than me, for I was stupid enough to engage you.  Best of luck to you in your life.  You're going to need it with that inflated ego (unwarranted) and sense of entitlement (to larger bonuses at ghash and presumably elsewhere).

You are forming a conclusion and searching for data to support it.  And where you cannot find any, you are just making some up.

And in doing so, you are proving Einstein correct.  It was convenient for you to include his statement in your post.

Didn't make anything up, I even spoon fed you the data. Guess it was to much for you to handle. Can't blame you though, math is hard, especially when you need to add up more than 2 numbers, and than even divide!
Next time I'll try and draw pictures for you, maybe it'll help.

Why would nobody else have left wafflepool for 125-200% at ghash.io?
Some did, it could very well be that in the average of mine some MH of it are of random people (actually quite plausible) but how many, I dunno, that's why I did average, to see the big swings, which is more than likely cause by the 1 guy.

Could be that he has exactly 20GHs and than the 0.6 GH- 2.5GH is caused by random miners. Doesn't change much though.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 17, 2014, 07:52:04 PM
Your logic makes absolutely no sense.  We've only seen just under 20GH/s from sfire around here.  So using your numbers (if they are true -- I'm not going to check them because it's not necessary in order to make this point), during the 12.8% of the time that the pool was slightly above 25GH/s, he was not causing the multiplier to drop.  During the 45.2% of the time it was below 25GH/s, he was not causing the multiplier to drop.  And during the 42% of the time that it was above 45GH/s, he still wasn't causing the multiplier to drop!  If you're to make any case at all, you need to be focusing on the times the pool hashpower was just UNDER 45GH/s, and then your argument would have a leg to stand on, but even then, he can mine wherever the heck is most profitable for himself, as he made investments in equipment just like we all did.  You're not special.  (unless you choose to pronounce it the funny way.)

Aha. So just under 20GH/s according to you? Because on waffle (and that's the fact I got in my head) every time he joins the pools GH increases by 23~

I'll even make it easy for you:

Step 1: Go here: http://wafflepool.com/stats and do the average for Mar 11, 2014, Mar 12, 2014, Mar 13, 2014, Mar 14, 2014, Mar 15, 2014 and than subtract the pools average without him.
*Keep in mind that on Mar 14th the pools hashrate was at an awkward average, so if you decide to include it you'll get 20.6, if you don't you'll get: 22.5 (pool averages at 12~ when he isn't around).

Step 2: Reread your post and realize that either way he doesn't contribute less than 20GH/s to waffle unless he has extra GH/s orbiting him because he's a fucking planet.

Step 3: Understand that the 45GH nor the 25GH I wrote were absolute, and how could they be? They should easily be referred to as 42GH-46GH and 23GH-25GH. So if it was 24.97 to 43.32 than it would be a difference of 18.35 which would fit whatever.

Step 4: Admit that you were wrong and all is forgiven.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOLY Heavycoin Batman!!!!!!! on: March 17, 2014, 07:17:55 PM
Anyone tried to see if it's profitable? I was using it for an hour but it wasn't as profitable as mining LTC directly, at least not at the current 0.00003 BTC price.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 17, 2014, 07:13:52 PM
<I haven't got a clue what I'm talking about but I'll just make something up>

See what I did there? ^

And I ain't pissed. I couldn't care less if he's there or not, as the 1.25 multiplier is good enough for me anyway.
All I did was stating a fact, all you did was look at the last 100 blocks they mined and came to a very poor conclusion.
If I cared enough I'd wait for a few hours and than point out how the pool is only above the 45GH/s mark (half of the current log is already like that) and how right I am, but I don't care that much.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 17, 2014, 06:26:09 PM

GHash has been sitting above 25GH fairly consistently, with or without sfire mining there.

false, sfire is the one that put ghash over 25.  there was a hickup yesterday on ghash, where it didnt find a block for 30 minutes or so.  sfire switched back to wafflepool, ghash went below 25.

obviously, even with 1.25x, sfire deems ghash to be more profitable at this particular point.
You aren't watching the GHash offer as closely as I was then... sfire switched back to wafflepool after there was almost 1hr without a block found, ghash then spent a few rounds below 25GH before creeping above 25GH for over 2 hours before sfire put his hashing power back there.

Everyone rushes to blame the whale... but really, it's ridiculous.

Pool is either <25GH/s or above 45GH/s (+/-).
So wrong... this newb can't even read the stats on the GHash.IO page FFS... At 10:02:01 the pool went over 25GH/s... it stayed there until 12:01:17 (at 1.25x bonus) when sfire moved his hashing power back there and the pool shot up to 45GH.  Small miners pushed it over the 2x bonus mark, and it has nothing to do with sfire.  Yeeesh...

Waffle ensures no 2x reward for a very, very long time. Without them, we were getting plenty of 2x rewards.
What?  Waffle isn't mining on GHash.
Before you badmouth someone go fuckin do some homework scrub. Pool was on a few occasions slightly above 25GH/s. And by slightly I mean 32 times in the last 250 blocks (I actually counted it and recoded it), and it was even less than that if you'd actually been following the pool since the promotion changed to 25GH/s. 1 time the pool averaged at 36 and that's when the big guy moved in again recently.

So for you, since you're a bit retarded, 32 times out of 250 means that 12.8% of the time the pool was slightly above 25GH/s.
Rest of the time it was above 45GH/s (42% of the time) or below 25GH/s (45.2% of the time).

So yeah, sometimes the pool bonus gets shitted on by small miners but not nearly as often as it does with the big one.

Seriously, how fucking of a nut job do you need to be to reply with nothing but badmouthing to people who did nothing but respond properly to you even if disagreeing.
