This is actually my first topic on the bitcointalk forum, been in the crypto eco-sphere for some time now but didn't really feel the need to join this forum until lately. As a trader/ investor the market has taught me some pretty tough lessons and am currently in search of solutions. My question is when does one get out of a trade or sell off a crypto investment?. I used to be a sucker for the hold gang but recent experience has taught me that sometimes you just need to sell off some cryptocurrency even at loss and move on with your life. Examples of such include dragon chain. I bought at the top a year ago and because of the fact that i noticed they were constantly having meetups and news on their social media, i felt sooner or later the market will correct and it will escalate in price. Fast forward to today am rekt and my investment is almost 92 percent gone.
I think its important to throw this question open to the public because a lot of noobs are coming through and although this happens to be the best time to join the crypto space, people need to be educated that it won't be always rossy, you might need to get out of some trades before it gets you down the rabbit hole and into wretchedness.
So blockchain experts and crypto enthusiast when do you say is the best time to get out of a trade? or Dump a long term cryptocurrency you invested in? What level of loss can you take before you hit the panic button?.
This is actually what traders call the selling point; identifying and selecting the gwei at which you sell your tokens at max profit or to stop loss It depends on the courage of traders and also how good your research methodology analysis is about a project |

I am an old school member, I am posting everyday on this forum and look 1 merit earned   . And I am not the only one who has the problem with receiving merit. Because I am not merit hunter, I do not have merit - simply. Lucky for you that you got your Sr member status before this merit took place.  Getting merit/s is really tough. Even if you have quality post, there's no guarantee that you will even get 1 for that. So just go on with our lives and be happy that this forum is helping us in many ways. I agree with you Getting merit is hard simply because the forum is large with numerous posts and several difficulties in reading all daily weekly monthly or yearly But as long as good posts get rewarded often; it will work out eventually |

The most dangerous thing in life is not to be able to see ahead of time,if you can't see ahead of time,you will always be cut up in the mist.So many are tired of ICO,as a matter of fact, ICO is almost dead,then came IEO presenting itself as a saviour of those investors that have suffered as a result of ICO,looking so tempting because some big exchange are backing it up,but i tell you,it can be more dangerous than ICO if you are not smart enough,atleast in the case of ICO,if price dump,it will dump on everyone,meaning there were some level of transparency,but for IEO especially with the big exchanges,the only thing we get to hear is that,it was sold out in seconds thereby creating an atmosphere that will make everyone to be looking forward to buy the moment it hit exchange,and the selected set of whales (hmmmm),who are already holding on to the coins are also ready to dump on people at a ridiculous price at exchange,after dumping it on people,then come a dump in price because the coin itself does not worth the price in the first instance,but because so much hype has been created in order to enrich themselves.I hope someone will wake up and not be cut up in the pool of loss.
My candid advice,if you can't get it at IEO,don't be fool to buy at a ridiculous price the moment is listed. The rich are getting richer,don't be trapped.All the best.

stop believing in things you read online and start forming up your own opinion based on your own personal analysis of the market! people are going to tell you all kinds of crap specially on reddit, twitter, and places like that where there is some sort of group of newbies spreading nonsense.
as for cash out time, it was obviously yesterday when bitcoin started rising. as you should already know each time bitcoin rises altcoins get dumped. and since bitcoin has already gone up $1000 it is now late to sell altcoins unless it starts breaking $5k and goes beyond that which would mean more altcoin dump.
I didn’t actually read it online It is just the sequence I witness when I joined crypto currency in January Back then etherum went to 200$ (massive bull) then went back to 110$ ( massive bear ) all in a flash I only fear this is a repeat |

If you think the price will go down again, yes current time will be a good time to withdraw. So if you are busy with this trade, you should always try to find the right time. Personally, I do not have a certain idea about this. Only a small decrease may occur.
It’s just that I think the bull is not yet here It’s barely just few days of inconsistent increase and decrease in prices so I do think It’s the natural sequence again ( short bull followed by longer bear period ) |

Everyone is claiming bull run is here, Satoshi is back and so on but I think that’s greed setting in
