C'mon guys!
60% hash on altpooler?
Spread the love.
|
|
|
Whoa!
Now there's less than 1% on minerpools.
Let's spread it out a little, guys.
|
|
|
So now we have 40% hash at altpooler, 8% at minerpools & what, 50% in a large, private pool?
Can we have a little hash spreading please guys? How about a little more weight at minerpools for a while?

Sigh... now the distribution is the other way... coming back again ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Hi Mate, nice to meet you too!, thanks for the trust, it's greatly appreciated!.
I have closed new registrations on the pool for the time being, please spread the hash to altpooler as well.
Moved my workers to altpooler for the time being. Hashrate is picking up leaving you with little more than 1/3rd now. My workers will come "home" if the hash distribution allows ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Yeah, weird, but the coin works like a charm. EDIT: Johntheminer is the name of my rig ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Indeed, the coin launch was silky smooth. Makes a nice change from the collection of disasters available lately. Oh, and in case it wasn't obvious, my rig is "Nobby". Nice to "meet" you, kind of. I'll elevate minerpools in my list of preferred places to direct hashpower. One thing about such a quiet thread, I really don' miss trolls. (probably said that too loud, ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) )

OK, so this seems strange. Am I the only one who doesn't get the joke? 2 pools, maybe a half-dozen miners (johntheminer, is that you? Left Nobby kinda lonely ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ). I've heard of ninja launches but ones done in near-total secrecy?

It's closed. They announced beforehand that July 7 would be the last payment cycle. According to the OP coinking is the only available multipool ATM. Edit: sprelling

As Grandma used to say, it'll be cooked when it's cooked, lad. Asking every 5 minutes won't cook it any faster. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Blah blah, there will be no V2. The speculative value was driven by "progress" aka using existing mixing methods with trusted nodes. You got a nice pump out of it to, but that's it. On to the next coin. Don't let the door hit you...

You Mac wallet is not working. I sent 50 or 100 coins from mint to my wallet and never got the coins. This was like 4-5 days ago.
My word you appear to have lot of negative things to say: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=333247;sa=showPostsI'm using a Mac wallet without any difficulties at all. What steps have you taken to verify that your wallet is properly synchronized with the network. If you've reloaded the blockchain have you run repairwallet from the console? Do you actually know what transaction you are trying to track: "I sent 50 or 100 coins ... " Hardly seems like a legitimate request for aid really but I could be wrong. If you politely ask for assistance I'm sure you'll get it from the friendly community here.

No. It uses system of coin age...
We are all asking for ETA on phase two, why you not answering us? ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) We are working on it, difficult task. We need an ETA, a week, two weeks? a month? Over a month? Just say what you think is closest. ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival. As Grandma used to say, it'll be cooked when it's cooked, lad. Asking every 5 minutes won't cook it any faster. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Is it just me or is anyone else finding their mac wallet transforms into crash bandicoot(tm) when trying to reload the blockchain? I'm attempting to follow this advice: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=637704.msg7523112#msg7523112 but mac wallet v1.9.3 has become highly unstable attempting to download the blockchain. Thinking it might be my mac I updated to 10.9.4 (latest mavericks patch) but my situation has not improved. So far my best result has been downloading ~25K blocks before beginning the crash/reload cycle once more.

Mac wallet v1.4.1 tested and apparently working A-OK.

i bought cloak at 25 and sold at 15 for a 2btc loss but dumping it was the best thing ever. I felt so much relief not waiting around for all this "next week" crap. not to mention that i bought crypt with the btc i had left!!!! booya!
lol don't quit your day job You might not want to boast about that. Not saying it's a scam as they probably have a good future considering their dev, but evaluate first whether you are buying into hype or true releases. Cloaks devs have delivered on every promise thus far, you can't say that about Crypt (which has released nothing). Don't get caught up with hype especially from well known pump and dump teams, do your research or else youre going to be holding more bags. Go Cloak. Well said, sir!

I think the devs are most likely working their asses off to get the new release done to just get that done...
Indeed and I certainly mean no slight to some of the most diligent and imaginative devs in captivity. The point about the wallet is well made however because it is the user/investor interface. Also I don't believe the old adage about not building from/on broken has been superseded. That is especially true in this iterative build-enhance cycle. The appropriate response would have been to simply tell WhiteLion, in this case but anyone who inquired, that yes, some people have found a need to use the workaround mentioned in the opening post but the decision has been made to leave the wallet as is because a new wallet with enhancements is being released imminently. No fud and no hurt feelings.

@duru, nice response to a leading post.
@heartastack, your devotion to the coin is appreciated but your view of "fun" does appear to be trolling, at least t some of us. How about you leave taking flying kicks at newbies out of your array of amusements, at least on this forum?
To return to the original points, a wallet which does not reliably update for all comers is not a good look. It may well be clearly stated how to go about a workaround to make it work properly but how does the pitch go?
"Yes, we have all these really cool new features we're working on, we just can't make standard functions work like other coins."
Do you think that the most attractive path to new money? If not then fixing the wallet is of the highest priority rather than "we code so poorly we'll probably break it introducing new features anyway". That and hostile receptions on the forum are legitimate concerns to be addressed.

@ TheDagger Hey what are the news? I've missed this thread for like 2 days till now, and there are like 20 pages, so what comes out? And what plans? I am too lazy to browse last pages, at least gimmie which pages ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) You are lazy and expect the Dev to just come on here and personally address your question about the summary of the past two days? Fucking wow dude....fucking WOW. It's a parable. A little off target but a nice try just the same.

Are you for real?
I think this guy is just trolling away.
Actually I think WhiteLion is doing a great service raising genuine issues in the appropriate place, the forum. After all, that's what it is supposed to be for. Perversely, some here do not seem to realize money will go where it is welcome. Apparently you believe we will all become wealthy talking amongst ourselves and jealously guarding "our" forum against newcomers. A few even seem to delight in being abusive. Oh and heartastack, while you are playing on your iPad, here's one for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMsrE-9CLFg

Don't grow this into a flame-war guys. The bottom line is basically "if you've got nothing nice/helpful to add, stay away from the keyboard". Sledging newbies is completely unnecessary and no forum needs immoderators. If you don't want to explain things to newcomers then just ignore their posts.
|
|
|
Actually we should address the issue rather than simply "let it go". WhiteLion is quite correct about both the hostile attitude on this forum and the wallet being critical as the user/investor interface. I'm more a lurker than a poster but I humbly apologize to WhiteLion for the intemperate reception here. We should be patient and above all, polite. If newcomers have not found the answer they seek then simply direct them to it or don't reply at all. If it helps try to remember that newbies are likely bringing more cash to the table. *correct misspelling of WhiteLion's handle ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif)
