601  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I’ve bought 100 BTC in 2011. Need help to find them for rewards. on: November 06, 2023, 09:10:40 AM
In 2011 I’ve bought 100+ BTC on some cryptocurrency stock exchange and now I can not remember what was the site exactly.
I’ve got only email which also was a login name and my passport information.
I’ve made a purchase using my credit card but it is impossible to get a bank statement for the year 2011 now.
There is no information about this purchase on my email also.
Does anybody have any idea how to find out what was the site and where the BTC now ?
Maybe it is possible to analyse all the Bitcoin blockchain blocks for feb.-march.2011 and to select those who contains the sums near to 100 BTC ? And then  we can try to find the owner of the bitcoin adress where the funds were transfered to... Is it real ?
The reward of 10 BTC will be distributed in case we find this BTC.
If truly you still got email then you should have the name of the centralized exchange and it's possible that the exchange is already not working again because most crypto exchange from 2011 are all down today, there is no way to get your Bitcoin back because it's too far in the past and also it's a centralized platform, a place that's never suited for keeping Bitcoin or any digital assets.

You are not the only person that have lost access to their Bitcoin, just take this is a big lesson and try to use anything for what its truly created for, Bitcoin is a decentralized digital asset, the last place you want to keep them is in the hands of any crypto exchanges, unfortunately, many people don't like reading the whitepaper, they just stumble on something and start liking it but not willing to understand it perfectly.

If you really want to know how I feel about your story I don't believe it, because if you really buy those Bitcoin you should know how much it worth in a year later, even in 2015 a 100 pieces of Bitcoin you bought in 2011 would have worth a lot, how come you don't sell already and instead decided to leave everything in care of a crypto exchange?
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 06, 2023, 08:29:41 AM
Whenever I am low on cash on the casino I play which includes a sport book I like to copy other people bets, usually parlays with odds over 1000 and I think to myself who cares if I play for example 50 bets copying other people with 200 IDR as my base bet,if any of these guys hits it big I will do to.Notice that I put 1000 as a minimum here but the reality is that I have been copying bets with over 700.000 as odds,I damn love these huge multipliers yet no one has got such one in sport betting.

Of course in here it is not about skill or luck games anymore but it is about destiny,so tell me how many of you are deceived by dreams that may change your destiny like I am  Grin?
It sometimes works and most times it doesn't work, I don't do this myself but I have friends who does, and they talk about this after they won, saying they copied someone at the casino because they have no clue what to place their bets on, weird right? I don't like the sound of it because you have no clue on anything but it's still fun, if you are using what you can afford to lose.

The disadvantage of copying others bet is you don't even know how smart they are, the person you copied might just be visiting the casino for the first time to try their luck and they have no clue about the game they are risking money on, but sometimes even the most stupid clueless gambler do get lucky too.

While doing all this, it could be really fun, but make sure that you don't turn yourself into a useless person because you getting addicted, becoming a responsible gambler means beating the hunger feeling of gambling, when you lose you take your leave and when you win you get your money out and gamble another blessed day, this is what a responsible gambler looks like.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: November 05, 2023, 01:10:44 PM
This is entirely bad but I am more concern of the state your brain will be at when you grow older, we have different bodies and while some start ageing they start getting weaker, that includes the brain too, so I think it depends on what will unfold when you are at the old age, the future is unpredictable and not everyone will grow old before they pass on, sadly.

There is a possibility that you will add more to your problem when you keep gambling at your old age and it's also possible that you will find more joy in gambling at the age because you will have less responsibilities on you, as you can see it's harder to even know what will happen, so it depends on you.

I would say it's not a good thing generally, because at such age you shouldn't be streesing yourself trying to make money, even if you are risking only what you can afford to lose, at this time you should be enjoying the fruits of all what you have sow in the past, or your children taking care of you, apart from relaxing and having good balanced diet I don't think you should be getting involved with gambling.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe do you feel with casinos that ask you to input your log detail. on: November 05, 2023, 12:00:41 PM
That's going to be a weird experience, how can a casino ask me for such details after using like dozens of different online casinos and no single one ask the same thing? That's going to be the end of my journey on such casino either new or old.

Some browser automatically store your login details when you visit the websites for the first time and create an account, though you can always switch it off in the settings, but I don't see anything wrong with this because you can decide to add extra security layers yourself, 2Fa and secret codes are available too.

I also don't like leaving money on any casinos, once I am done gambling on the website I immediately withdraw my fund, crypto exchanges have better security than gambling platforms but gambling platforms don't always get attacked by hackers like trading platforms, but gambling platforms can be easily breached.

If security is your main concern it's better to use 2FA authentication on your account, but first make sure that the gambling platform is reliable one, then proceed with adding more security.
605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't look for investment, just hodle! on: November 05, 2023, 11:01:41 AM
The reason why so many newbies have missed their steps in Bitcoin is because they have missed the primary approach to avoid getting into the wrong investment,  because we all know the risk associated with cryptocurrency for that there is need to clarify one thing which is is burn out of personal research.

Reason why many fail for scam is because they are looking for investment instead of just holding Bitcoin and wait for it value to appreciate organically,  there is no doubt that DCA approach is good but then also if a newbie os not careful you could lose along the line of DCA so DCA is out of this discussion,  but let dive into something more realistic taking recent happenings with so many investment scam,  exchanges ditching off their clients money and so many other scam projects platform and signals that are notable bad actors in the market.

To avoid all this,  it become paramount to only abide by one rules which is to keep Bitcoin in your wallet and stop looking for investment that are centralized to reduce your risk.

Just a friendly advice!

I can guarantee you that there is money to be made in every risky corners of crypto investments, I have made a lot of mistakes but what I've gained after is what matters, and it's why I am standing unafraid where many people are scaring away from, so many people get burnt in investment but they don't learn, biggest mistake of all time.

I hold my Bitcoin and I still choose to risk money on other things, with the knowledge I have acquired in the past I am always taking profits when needed and buying more Bitcoin and Ethereum, in this bear market alone, over five altcoins have bring me more than a 10x and I took my profits, invest some back into Bitcoin and this have helped my Bitcoin bag to grow more higher in a short period of time compare to me making money every month and investing part of that into Bitcoin.

I know that not everyone can do this, because it's easier to lose money, but it is something that works for me, I just apply the knowledge I gained from losing money in the past, like having all money in profits but failing to take them out, and also not doing my own research on projects before investing money, that's because I used to rely on what others are saying about a project, like those crazy paid YouTubers.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Out of curiosity, how much you wagered recently? on: November 05, 2023, 10:13:29 AM
Wager only what you can afford, do not walk in the same way as others or you are exposing yourself to big risks, if you both lose your bets they can end up been fine because they have something else to fall back on but what about you?

If you like, use $100 to win a million dollars, I won't do the same thing, as you used the amount that I can't afford to lose, I can't compare myself to others all because I want to win the same amount of money they won, no, gaming doesn't work this way.

Some people are going to be lucky more than you, just accept this as normal occurrence, some people are so blessed that they get so lucky with gambling, now imagine you comparing yourself to such people and taking the same risks they are taking, it won't be long before you land yourself into a uncomfortable zone, no matter what you see that others are making from gambling, choose your own risk tolerance and stay on it.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Difference between crypto gamblers - regular gamblers on: November 04, 2023, 09:06:05 AM
Throughout my years using cryptocurrency I've noticed that there are some differences between people that use crypto and those that might not. People using crypto are usually more aware of little details

I have noticed opposite difference. People who gamble with crypto are more careless than people who gamble with fiat. And I think I have an explanation for that. Crypto gamblers are under influence "easy come easy go". All people who gamble, convert unintentionally their bets with their national currency and salary. So their 1 dollar bet always be equal to 1 dollar. People who bet crypto care less on an outcome because, lets say the difference in currency prices in the past and todays price let them feel more free. For example a guy who has bought 1 BTC when the price was 5k, will easily place a 0.1 BTC bet when Bitcoin price is 69k, because he will still have 62k worth asset. But the guy who will make a 6900 bucks worth bet will think twice before doing it.
No, I don't agree, people who are rich in crypto are more careless when they are gambling, they have it all so why won't they do anyhow? It depends on the person who is gaming with crypto, if buying crypto cost me a lot and I still carelessly gambling it away I will feel hurt, it depend on how you get the crypto, you can pretend as if you don't care but that's because you don't sweat on getting the crypto...

This type of move is why people believe that you don't work hard for your money, and crypto is money, if you start spending your fiat or crypto lavishly it shows that you are a scammer or the assets don't really belongs to you, for whoever work extremely hard for their assets or cash won't think about wasting them away no matter how gigantic their bank account is, what the hell is easy come and easy go? Like everyone can afford 1 BTC today, you should have separate the points apart.

Not every Bitcoin holders are whales, not every bitcoin holders are early buyers, some can't even get 0.01 BTC since they started their dollar cost averaging, I care about my crypto and it's what I use for gambling, I don't like losing them because I am a responsible gambler, it is not easy to accumulate crypto even if it's not BTC, so for me every dollar matters.
608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "change password frequently" on: November 04, 2023, 08:22:55 AM
Getting hacked is more stupid than you changing your password often, when you use a password for too long its possible that it will get leaked, for everything that we do offline is the only things that's safe from online threats, and since password is what we use to log into a platform everyday it's possible it will get leaked.

It's same reason why people need to keep their private keys and wallet recovery seed away from online because that increases the chances of getting leaked, and this is why I often move my funds out of a old wallet into a new created wallet highest in a year or two, I just do it but some called it stupid.

I think hardware wallet is the only way that I don't need to keep changing, all you need is the official wallet software update which I still find risky too, it's find to be cautious in this space and it won't get you in troubles like when you are too relaxed and calling others stupid for been too careful.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerians spend $975m daily on online betting on: November 04, 2023, 07:24:09 AM
If you want to make insane amount of money in a year all you have to do is build your own gambling company, and make it available for people in Africa and around the world, it won't take a year for you to become a multi billionaire because millions of people are buying their fantasy every hour of every day, it is something I keep seeing whenever I leave my door going to work in the morning and whenever I am coming back home.

I have never seen whereby a gambling house been dried out, it's always full of different people, both men and women and even school boys that are supposed to be in school, this is what happens when poverty have taken over the sense of the living and the only thing left for them is the hope of a miracle one day, and gambling just fit this empty space than anything else.

The Nigeria government don't even care about it's people, either the casinos are regulated or not I have never heard about a court case on any unregulated casino before, all I know is those big casinos operating in the country are spending a lot of money to the government pocket to stay in the business, and since its a corrupt country this is expected.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on staying responsible. on: November 04, 2023, 06:33:31 AM
Yes logically it is better to make money elsewhere or not in gambling, not even a better sentence but "should be in other places" Let gambling only be made as a place to find entertainment or fun if you like gambling.

But several times I met people who have impulsive nature in their gambling are difficult to remind, stubborn and also feel confident with what he is doing is the right thing and like gambling will bring the sun to his life, they will listen to us when they have lost everything.
Gambling responsible is a way to avoid addiction, and self -discipline is a way to arrive at that point.
I also often meet people who gamble frequently and don't want to listen to advice from us or the people around them. And yes, they are stubborn and believe they can win from gambling. If they are honest, they cannot get any winnings because even if they win, they will use the winning money to gamble again.

Somehow, they still believe in making money from gambling. Even though they also know that there are friends who often gamble and also experience big losses, they don't seem to be afraid if they are the ones who experience it. They think it's someone else and not them but in reality, they can experience it too.

We can gamble, but we must really be responsible for gambling. Gambling without boundaries and responsibilities will only make things difficult for us and result in losing more money. That is why we must always be careful and responsible when gambling.
That's the scary part of gambling, when you win once you will want to win more, this makes people leave the money they won on the platform thinking they can keep increasing the amount but they eventually lose everything, this also happens in trading too, I have seen people who blow up their account because they got greedy.

The smartest move anyone can make when trading or gambling is to always secure your wins, once you get lucky you are to withdraw the money off the exchange or the gambling platform and keep using the amount left to take risks, but people don't listen like you said, they always want to satisfy their minds.

There is nothing I haven't seen when it come to gambling and trading, but most of the lessons I've learned don't actually happened to me, these are lessons I learned from friends and those that are close to me, it's easy to make mistakes in gambling but the only way you won't put yourself in danger is if you don't risk too much.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 02, 2023, 06:36:27 AM
I’m a new member here, and I want to gamble on online casinos. I found some good trusted casinos. And I want to begin with a game with a low budget. First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.
You don't believe that gambling can make someone's life miserable? Well you should start believing right now, because it's true, so you have to be careful when gambling, also what is your real purpose of gambling? To make more money? If that's it you even have to me more extra careful because those who turned into gambling addicts all wanted to make life changing amount from gambling and they failed.

Gambling is not a profession, make sure you do not make it one, handle gambling for what it is, a game of luck and the reality is we don't always get luck every time, ask yourself how many times have you get so lucky in life since you are born? I am very sure it's limited isn't it? So do not expect gambling to be your fulfillment in life.

I will tell you a secret about gambling, casinos don't lose money, they are the ones that made the Slot games they also own the company, they are not at risk, but gamblers have to try their luck using money every day, they will lose most money than they will win, this is why you must only gamble with what you can afford to lose, do not get greedy, every dollars matter when gambling so ask yourself how much you can lose right now that won't get you mad.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 01, 2023, 12:14:04 PM
Like who the hell wrote this up? A doctor or what? You have to be some kind of a meditating freak to be able to keep your cool when gambling, saying gambling have some health benefit is laughable.

There are many gamblers that can't take risks on anything else than gambling, you want to know why? Because its a quick result when making money, they don't like keeping money somewhere and waiting for it to grow, they either lose fast or win fast, what do you have to say about this?

The only way gambling can bring you relieves is after you win some money, even if you are risking $0.5 on every bets you are not streesing yourself out, it's not a workout or weight lifting, and if you risk more than you can afford to lose you will start having fear, and relief comes after you get lucky, there is no stress here, gambling is a sharp way of getting your results, unlike waking up every morning and going to work, taking a cab from one location to another before you get there.

Gambling ruins people more than giving them any health benefits, the only health benefit comes after you win good amount of money.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: November 01, 2023, 11:10:49 AM
I was about to complain but 200k keeps me shut up, damn that's a lot of money, I would be set for the future if I have 200k to risk, I will never risk such money on gambling, like what the hell are you trying to achieve? This will take a lot of hard work to save that amount of money, well I hope you will learn from this.

Some people still lose this much and they will keep feeling themselves that they are fine, some will say no risk no reward, this is a fools risk, like honestly its a very big high risk with zero sense of gambling, a $1000 out of that money will take me a whole year to spend on a casino.

Since the day I've started to gamble I've never risk up to a $70 dollars before, the highest I've risked was $60 dollars and now my risks amount is even lower than before, learn to always use small money and if you want to make millions in gambling you are already doomed bro and no one can safe you.
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blackrock ETF listed on the ticker index… perhaps it’s approved? on: November 01, 2023, 10:07:24 AM
It is still a show off to me, and this doesn't mean it won't be approved because it's looking like a reality in coming months but I still don't want it to get approved fast because I am not done accumulating yet.

In short I even want this bear market to stay for few more months into 2024, because all my focus was after April to May of 2024, hopefully my dream comes true and for those that want their bags to pump so fast do not be in haste, a long bearish market is far more healthy on the long run.

I am now wondering what will happen between Black Rock and SEC, it do look like Black Rock can defeat SEC this time and also it's not just Black Rock only, there are many other companies filing for a ETF approval, it's looking promising so far but I hope they slow it down.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: November 01, 2023, 09:05:07 AM
Have you been in such situations before? I foremost, asked this question because I haven't done this before. Today I was just doing nothing but sitting down in the sitting room watching TV, but I wasn't comfortable. Then I fund my betting account (hoping to have fun) with $10 but, unfortunately for me, I lost the whole money without winning just a dime. It was not the first time for me to lose money on gambling (but I am not a regular gambler), then I fund another $10, so finally, finally, I still lost the other money I deposited, and I was like asking myself how? When did I even fund another money in this account? why I am surprised is because I haven't funded into my betting account twise in a day after losing done money, so am I becoming an addict? No.
Maybe you are becoming an addict, or maybe you just can't believe you lost that money and you feel like getting it back by trying over again, this feels like you are not ready to lose that money, like you've said, you don't normally take such risks when you gamble, so why now? You are chasing your losses.

Chasing losses doesn't mean you are addicted but it can also be a sign too, most times I believe that those who chase losses are those that are not ready to lose the money to gambling, all you need to do is gain control over yourself, if $10/is what you normally use to gamble everyday, once you lost all the money do not make another deposit.

Every $10 lost to gambling in every day is better than losing more in a single day, if that ten dollars is all you can afford to lose then stay on it, either you win or you lose, also you don't have to bet all the $10 at once, if you don't like the idea of just losing on one trial start using less amount, the more rounds you can go the higher your chance of winning something.
616  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to detect a scammer with grabify.link on: October 31, 2023, 12:09:56 PM
Short URL links are automatically a red flag for me, so I won't dare visit the link in the first place, like I would have created a warning message about visiting short links online instead of your write up OP.

Also scammers are not stupid to use their normal location when trying to scam people, they always use VPN and even advanced premium tools, scammers are of different levels, they don't think the same way and they all have different access to different scamming tools and tricks.

Also, lets believe that this works on the scammers, how is this information going to get them arrested? What is the purpose of getting your hands on their location? For real I am not impressed with your write up, you should have do better, there is nothing to gain from having the information, it's just better to stay away.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever been a gambling addict? on: October 31, 2023, 11:02:29 AM
No I can't because I've been warned by my parents and they have told me stories about lives of people that got ruined because they are gambling addicts, it's easier to become a gambling addict, said my father, always have trust in your hand work than magical ways of making money, you will lose more money that you will ever make from such ways, said my father.

And I took these words very important, the only thing that is assured and ascertain in this life is trusting what you build with your two hands, you can't reap from where you don't plant anything, it's a fake dream if you believe that gambling will set your ass free from hardship, don't even think about it, time is a valuable thing, so spend it on something more valuable that will do you good in future.

Gambling is only good if you are getting fun out of it, and the only way you will get fun from gambling is by limiting your expectations and using few dollars you can spare and ready to lose, panic and fear should not come close to you when gambling, if you are getting fear and panic in you then you are risking too much, your mind is on the money more than the game because you aren't ready to lose the money.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 31, 2023, 10:01:16 AM
If you don't hope to become great using gambling you won't be chasing losses, this mentality of winning back what you've lost starts the moment you start planning to make big amount of money from gambling, that's when you will start risking higher amount and you are only ready to take the risks but you can't digest the losses if it happens, you are not preventing the losses from happening and it will surely happens because it's gambling.

I feel like people who turned into gambling don't know what gambling is all about, but because they see people winning they also want to be like them, the truth is those who won are only going to show them the result when they win but not the opposite of gambling when they lost money.

Someone once said it to my face that let them gamble, they will learn what it feels like to lose money, this person said this after someone knew how much he won in his last bet, but they never knew how much he has lost before he won this round, knowledge is a powerful thing, that's why it's important to learn about things before you start spending money.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: October 31, 2023, 09:15:37 AM
I think this depends entirely on the game but as per my investigation about lotteries I found out that it takes long for at least three months from the drawing date to claim your prize, anything after is already too late, but the deadline can be extended up to a year too.

So yes lottery rewards can actually get expired, the duration depends on the lottery and the location where you bought it from, power ball time frame is different from mega millions and so on.

I think the best manner of approach is to always check the claiming deadline for a specific lottery to figure out when the ticket will expire, I've not particulate in any lottery before but I am sure that lottery tickets carry their expiring date at the back of the tickets, but not always.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we seen the lowest low of this bear market? on: October 30, 2023, 09:59:15 AM
What we've seen after FTX, for me, was the bottom. I know bitcoin is always unpredictable and it does exactly the same opposite of what everybody is expecting but right now, between the ETFs and the halving, I really struggle to see how it could go below $15-16k again, we're talking about losing more than 50% from the current value. Maybe we'll go down again to $25-28k, maybe even a little lower, but below $20k I don't know, I don't want to say it's impossible but almost.
Black swan events like Terra and FTX don't usually occur and it's bad to have FTX fiasco only a few months after Terra fiasco. These two fiascos mostly dump Bitcoin to its bottom of the long lasting bear market. I agree with you that low price after FTX fiasco is like a bottom of this bear market already.

I still open with scenario of at least one black swan event or just massive fud to dump Bitcoin market like in 2020 we had it before the halving. I don't know what will be a next tool for market maker to dump the market in first quarter of 2024 before the halving. Because black swan event like Covid-19 which was announced in March 2020 by WHO is very barely seen.

Don't depend on that 2020 black swan event, I am not saying it can't happen but this nonsense started in 2020, it was never like that in 2016 halving, so there is nothing saying that something like that will happen again, but it's smart to be prepared for anything, I still strongly believe that 15k was the bottom and those who held their money waiting for 10k have missed the both already, I don't see anything changing this again, the worst that could maybe happen is we requesting the base once more, and that's if something bad happens in 2024.

Every predictors of Bitcoin are also investors that's why no one should trust anyone in this crypto space, they will all be looking forward to take their profits too, so they don't want every human on earth to have the same goal as theirs, while everyone is focusing on 200k Bitcoin, some are pointing at 150k but these people are predicting over 200k, they are setting traps for people, to keep holding their Bitcoin while they take their profits.

Right now I am less active on my DCA into Bitcoin because I believe it's time to slow down, every October and November are always Bullish time for Bitcoin, so I want to keep storing some stable coin and wait for good pullback, maybe early 2024, but I don't expect a big dump anymore, I think FTX and Luna crash was the best buying opportunity that majority of people took for granted.
