601  Economy / Economics / Re: Our future with renewable energy. on: October 02, 2023, 11:26:12 PM
Renewable energy is of course the right solution to replace natural materials such as oil and gas which are increasingly difficult, maybe at the moment this seems strange but slowly technology will emerge that can use renewable energy so that it is no longer dependent on mining products such as oil, gas and others. .

We’ve been far too reliant on fossil fuels and some countries, bear the brunt of it when there’s a man made scarcity or other problems that could arise that would bring about an energy crisis so of course, renewable energy is the right solution to replace fossil fuels.

The tech to harness these renewable energy sources has already emerged. We’ve got people today, driving around with electric vehicles. I think we still have some quite a while and lots of work to be done before fossil fuels would be relegated as a substitute energy source but slowly, we’re getting there.

The good news is that Antony will return to training. Antony has not been named as a suspect and has been arrested either in Britain or Brazil. Antony has provided some evidence to support his statement. But even though he is back with United after more than 4 weeks and has not played in 4 games, it seems that he will not play against Crystal Palace. Man United seem to need his manpower and the management continues to monitor the progress of the case.

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/66960103

The news about Antony returning to training with the team is a welcomed one. The article stated he wasn’t placed on any restrictions after having spoken to the police about the allegations. It seemed the evidence he provided seems solid enough for the police at this point.
It also seems it’s enough for the club as he’s expected to be back training with the team. Although when he would be actually be on the squad for a game is yet unknown. Manchester United do need his presence and expertise in their games.
603  Economy / Economics / Re: Our future with renewable energy. on: September 29, 2023, 10:00:59 AM
Transforming the whole world into renewable energy is very difficult to implement.  For this, there will be many changes in our social system and life system which may be difficult to adapt to.  There are also many countries whose main trade is fossil fuels, they may not take the matter well.  Moreover, it is very complicated to maintain renewable energy. The industry of many countries of the world is immobile without fossil fuels.  In renewable energy we will not get the benefits that we are getting now.  Converting to 100% renewable energy is time consuming and difficult.

It’s not really that difficult to switch over to renewable energy sources. I think we are naturally resistant to change but change being constant is also inevitable. Sooner or later, It’s bound to happen.
What changes to our social life do you think would renewable sources of energy bring that would be difficult to adapt to? None that comes to my mind.
We’ve been for far too long solely dependent on fossil fuels for our energy sources and people are open to other options. We’re going to get a lot more benefits using renewable energy as these sources of energy literally cannot be exhausted. How does it get any better than that?

Converting to renewable energy being time consuming and difficult is merely propaganda pushed by oil tycoons who has  been making record profits over the years with little care for the environment.

I guess now Victor Osimhen is feeling regret because of what happened in the transfer window. He could easily join another team and leave Napoli, so they could not disrespect this palyer.
We know the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli is not good at all and obviously, he can even think about leaving. But the funny thing about Osimhen is Rudi Garcia saying there is not any problem between Osimhen and Napoli while we know he is not right.

Of course he’s going to say there’s no problem between himself and Osimhen. He’s trying hard and it’s like trying to hide a huge crease in a shirt but It’s clearly showing. The player isn’t happy and rightfully so as he has been blatantly disrespected.
About leaving earlier, I guess he just wanted to be loyal to the club and disrespect and lack of remorse is what he gets after giving them his all. One would have thought Napoli would have done a lot to retain Osimhen and keep his morale high, but I guess an apology is where they draw the line.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 28, 2023, 10:58:42 PM
If they don't improve their current performance,i don't think they'll able to face Liverpool, City, or Arsenal maybe they could play draw against Manchester United but one thing im sure is that they would not finish in the top 4 it would take a miracle fot Pouchettino to make it to the top 4, they could manage to finish top 10 but that's if they would improve their current EPL performance.

They definitely won’t be able to face and win those clubs you noted if they continue with their current performance.about finishing in the top four, I don’t see it being possible as well.
Their next game with Fulham in my opinion, wouldn’t be so tough and I think they would go ahead and win the game. I predicted they could win the game against Brighton and they were quite lucky to have some good shots on target that got them a goal and ultimately the win. Fulham shouldn’t be much of a threat for Chelsea.
606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's start the journey of working with Bitcoin by following the forum rules. on: September 28, 2023, 08:57:54 PM
Welcome to the forum. It’s always nice to see new members on here who are ready/willing to grow and learn more about bitcoin. And a good step is familiarizing yourself on what other members find unsuitable.
It’s all good when new members read through the unofficial rules of the forum and all but I wonder why they see the need to let everyone know they’ve read it and how important it is to follow said rules. Perhaps they’re hoping for some credit which I think it’s absurd for reading through the rules.
Best of luck to you on your journey as you grow and learn more about bitcoin.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 28, 2023, 08:07:33 PM
That's right, I agree with you, Napoli should treat their stars well, Osimhen contribution to the team is very big. Napoli will have difficulties if Osimhen leaves the club in the transfer market, the post on social media is very over the line. Luckily Rudi Garcia and club management can play a role in reducing Osimhen disappointment, but I think this will have long-lasting consequences.

Napoli should treat all players with respect and dignity. What they did to Osimhen in guise of a joke is truly disgusting. A real sick joke. This is a player that has been putting in his best in all games he plays and has overtime become invaluable to the club scoring goals and taking them to greater heights.
Napoli says that was a joke. A joke that didn’t seem to be funny to the player or to fans all over. They should just eat the humble pie. They haven’t apologized and I won’t be surprised if they don’t. With their actions, they don’t need to say how they truly feel about the player.
608  Economy / Economics / Re: X (formerly Twitter) may be telling people like me to exit the platform on: September 28, 2023, 04:57:35 PM
Everybody is right on their own opinion, but due to my own opinion X is like the best social media platforms that I derived a lot from it, I don't think I have any option rather than to pay for it, is only me that know what am getting from it. Sometimes if am lonely I use X for fun. My reason for saying I will pay is that if I did not see any news on X I don't believe in it because even in own country politicians like X and they use as a middle of pass information and a type that prefer to see things with my on eyes because they say seen is believing. I am type that hate fake news and in X they easily make it clear either true or false.

You would believe a bot account with 20k followers with information over your local news network. Crazy times. As for fake news and misinformation, it still runs rampant despite some feeble attempts to  make some changes. If you’re truly looking for credible information near you, buy a copy of your local paper where sources are literally quoted.
You’re probably not the only one who would pay to use the platform. I believe people who paid for verification checks along with others would also pay to tweet. To each his own.
When you’re sometimes lonely, you use X for fun. I suppose you’re making good use of the adult content on the platform eh.. wink wink
609  Economy / Economics / Re: Chase Bank New Policy On Crypto - Users Beware !!! on: September 28, 2023, 03:58:12 PM
They’re free to take away services that is primarily not in their best interests. While there’s a righteous concern for these types of fraudulent transactions, they’re probably more worried about the heat and negative PR they get from ignorant customers who after realizing there’s not going to be a refund, gets angry and frustrated at the bank. Whatever their reasons may be, they’re still free to introduce and stop any service they deem necessary.
Not to worry though as they’re probably still going to be accepting payments to scammy projects with fiat.

610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 28, 2023, 02:32:34 PM

As a kid, I honestly doesn’t care about the odds since I don’t know most of it especially those foregin odds when watching international channels. It’s not a big deal if your kids watch it for as long as they didn’t know it and they don’t care. The only time it will alarming is when they start asking that’s why most of the channel with that kind of ads usually have a parental guidance logo.

Gambling ads is very popular on sports channel here which I’m always watching. There’s kids and parents in my family that watching same sports with me but they never ask about ads but rather annoy about it since everyone focused on the sports we are watching and not the ads.

Most kids won’t be attracted to these types of advertisements. I know I wasn’t. Cartoons and such are more likely to attract little kids than gambling advertisements on TV. I don’t even know if kids watch TV anymore.
Gambling ads I’ve seen are mainly on sports channels and i really don’t see any problem with that. If allowed, they should be free to advertise their service like any other business. Parents should step up more in their observation and interaction with their kids.

A lot of people would probably be slightly annoyed and impatient when watching a show at advertisements being played over and over while eagerly waiting for the show to go on. Ads during a great show is also a great time to refill on snacks.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 27, 2023, 06:11:39 PM

And the remaining matches this month, Chelsea will face Brighton in the Carabao Cup. This gave Chelsea one last chance to score in September and claim victory. But look at Brighton, who this season managed to beat Newcastle and Man United in the EPL. Seeing this performance, I think Brighton deserves to be the favorite to win at Stamford Bridge later.

Brighton is no pushover and their performance in the ongoing season of the EPL is confirming that. They seem ready for a win over Chelsea and are favorites to do so but it may turn out to be a difficult game for both sides as Chelsea could surprise everyone and come out with a win. Yes, it’s pretty obvious Chelsea, with their current form wouldn’t pose that much of a threat to Brighton that has had a pretty good performance and also are in pretty good form.
I’m rooting for the underdogs to win in this game. They desperately need a win. While I don’t think much of playing at home to be a real advantage, I hope the cheers from home fans would be of some help.

612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin kwoledge is not complete without bitcoin investment on: September 27, 2023, 03:09:40 AM
Knowledge about Bitcoin will be complete only when you can invest in Bitcoin. Even if we get a lot of ideas about Bitcoin or we know a lot about Bitcoin, if we don't invest in Bitcoin, we will not have real experience and if we don't have real experience, our knowledge about it will never be complete. When we invest we will have a real idea about Bitcoin and investing. When we have real experience as well as ideas about Bitcoin, we will understand how long we need to hold this investment or how volatile the market is or how the market can go, and our knowledge about these things will be more mature, thereby making a Bitcoin investor through Bitcoin investment. You can find the difference in your knowledge.

Bitcoin knowledge isn’t complete without investing. I disagreed with that notion when I initially read the OP. I had felt and still somewhat do that it’s not compulsory to invest in bitcoin for you to have complete knowledge about it. You could still know a lot about bitcoin without necessarily investing your money in it.

But then I can understand when you say knowledge about bitcoin will be complete when we invest. When we invest, we’re able to have a personal experience as well as putting into practice what we’ve already learnt and I guess being practical about it, adds to/complete our knowledge and understanding of what we know about bitcoin.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: September 27, 2023, 01:41:40 AM
Human wants and not needs are insatiable. We cannot be totally satisfied as there is always something new we humans would like to acquire.
I agree with you that we can’t meet all our needs even if we spend all our salaries and wages. Personally, I think the more we earn, the more responsibilities we tend to undertake financially and it would seem the money just can’t be enough to meet all our needs.

It would be extremely financially draining if we try to meet all our needs at once hence the need to prioritize our needs in order of importance. That way and with a careful thought out budget, we could overtime satisfy a bunch of our needs.
Emergencies and problems that would require funds to solve tend to pop up every now and then. We can’t ignore that fact and use all funds to solve all our needs at once. Needs that are ever changing and steadily increasing.

614  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 27, 2023, 12:22:05 AM

So How Much To Invest??

Like any/all investments, it’s always wise to put in what you can always afford to lose. This applies to both new and experienced individuals.

There isn’t any fixed amount for newbies to invest as income level varies amongst individuals. Some individuals who are new to cryptocurrency tend to get overly optimistic and excited. Sometimes newbies, being ignorant, hasty and perhaps too excited at investing with delusional thoughts of making big profits quickly, put in more than they can afford to lose only to end up losing it to scammers.

To avoid falling into despair, newbies should invest an amount that’s negligible and deemed safe enough. There also won’t be any hurt feelings and regrets later on.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 26, 2023, 11:44:08 PM
Onana has not shown his best quality since he was recruited from Inter Milan. But I think he will be able to give a good performance if he gets support from their defense line. If the defense is not strong then there is no way for Onana to appear consistently in every match. Erik Ten Hag must make several changes in his tactics to be able to provide progress to strengthen their defense line. The competition in Group A will become more interesting with each match, therefore, if Manchester United fails to win in the next match, it will make it even more difficult for them to compete with Bayern Munich.

He hasn’t been able so far, to meet the expectations of Man United fans after the initial excitement of bringing him from Inter Milan to the club. He has been under constant pressure to prove himself as a better replacement for De Gea and hopefully soon, he would step up and prove his worth.
I think the United’s defense has a lot to do with why he hasn’t been at his best. But a player that owns up to his mistakes as Onana did is one who’s willing to learn from them.

Their recent game in the EFL with Crystal Palace was quite impressive and hopefully we could see better performances from the team.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 26, 2023, 11:19:38 PM
Advertisement of a product or service is primarily aimed at attracting new customers. Advertisements featuring gambling sites aren’t no different as they simply aim to attract and retain new and willing customers.
If your kid is curious about gambling cause of an advertisement in TV, we should come clean about gambling and not lie. Be open and honest about everything as kids would definitely find out for themselves  what they’re curious about.

You don’t see hard drugs being advertised on TV yet they’re kids also addicted to drugs. Proper upbringing as well as regular and close communication could help a kid overcome a lot of vices.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 26, 2023, 10:59:12 PM
Manchester United 3 - 0 Crystal Palace

It was a dominant win today for Manchester United; as they had an excellent performance and also a great win for the first time this season under Ten Hag who has been under immense criticism. Do you think such good performances will continue ?

It is a much welcomed performance and even better a win for Manchester United. I sadly didn’t have much hopes and I surely didn’t expect much from Man United but they proved naysayers and doubtful fans(me included) wrong.
United really dominated the game and it showed in the scoreline. A good performance from United.
I’m also happy for Onana as he managed to a clean sheet in this game. Hopefully, this win would help give the lads some more confidence going forward.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 26, 2023, 10:41:04 PM
Why find fault with the service and not with the individual? I think the bulk of the fault dwells with the individual and the service has little to do with it.
Credit cards purchases has helped a lot of people as well. But I must admit, there are individuals that financial institutions should not have issued credit cards to.

As with gambling, people have purchased, rather recklessly, items that should not have been purchased with a credit card. For some individuals, credit cards fuels irresponsibility and financial ruin later on. That doesn’t mean the service isn’t helpful.
Fault the individual and not the service. People are going to be irresponsible with any service no matter its good intent.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 26, 2023, 09:08:07 PM

Well, many may not agree but Chelsea performances this season under Pochetinno has not been awful; instead the results have been terrible because there are no one at the end of the chances created to score a score; also with many injuries, Chelsea have had to rely only on Raheem Sterling to create chances and also score goals.

With players returning from injury; i think Pochetino can begin to get the desired results. Chelsea has no choice than to back their manager at this point.

I think a lot of people would agree that the result is what’s important. We’ve seen games where a team, having the lower odds, go into a match with a supposedly better opponent and despite having very poor statistics in the game, they come out winner. And everyone recognizes the winner irrespective of how poor they played.
So I think Chelsea’s performance hasn’t been all that good as they’ve lost a good majority of total games played. That isn’t a good performance.

About Chelsea backing its coach, I think loads of support and encouragement can go a long way in making progress.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 26, 2023, 07:10:08 AM
With the conditions of the beginning of the season it is still possible. The points gap with the 4th-placed team is only 9 points, with 33 games remaining it still has a very big chance. But if it can indeed improve the performance in the rest of that game. but if the predictions of new Chelsea players not being able to adapt to English football culture are correct then that improvement is likely to be difficult. This could be Chelsea's transfer failure problem.

A lot of people have already begun to write off Chelsea as not able to perform well this season and are even going ahead to speculate them being relegated after having just played only 6 games. They’ve got a lot more games to play to step up and try to redeem theme selves.
I highly doubt the problems are due to new players being brought in, not being able to adapt to English football culture. Perhaps the strategies deployed by the coaching staff aren’t that effective? They are various reasons on why they’ve failed to improve on their performance.

There’s still some time and more games to be played for a turnaround to a better performance.
