Theoretically speaking if you could predict the algorithm in an online casino wouldn't you be able to predict the game and win a lot let's just say you had access to the algorithm and you were able to replicate it you would practically be able to win all the games
Predicting gambling algorithm is more possible theoretically speaking than in practice. Most of these algorithms are programmed to be totally random and since the possible chances or outcomes are usually very much it is even more difficult to predict it. In addition to that, online casinos usually have experienced web developers to run checks on their systems from time to time to find and fix vulnerabilities and even algorithms with flaws that would result in totally predictable wins. Majority of casino games are usually based on luck with random possibilities so finding a flaw or predicting an algorithm is not very practical.

Either ways you both presented it, gambling is not an investment, the only way we can consider it an investment is on those who have invested to start a gambling business as their own establishment which I believe could have involved alot of money as well, but for any gambler who thinks he could also finds a means of living through gambling may be totally wrong about it.
You're correct. Gambling can be considered as an investment only if you've built or own a casino, gambling service or organization. This is because in this case, you're making profits from other gamblers via your setup and have invested in creating a place for their enjoyment. However, for a regular gambler, viewing gambling as a means to earn a living may lead to unrealistic expectations which can be fueled by excess emotional rush and can make the gambler in question go bankrupt by suffering multiple losses and excessive spending which can possibly leading to addiction.

I just want to disclose that I went that I went through this thread and sent smerits to each member who participated, and mostly based on 1miau's recommendation - however, I have trouble with my own abilities to figure out if the submissions were following the rules - especially in regards to not being AI generated, and so I am less excited about having had participated in sending smerits in this contest as compared with other past contests.. for example, the pumpkin carving contest, or the pizza contest, and even theymos had a couple of contests around the forum's birthday or some kind of theme.. but maybe those were digital pieces too.. as contrasted to some kind of real world art that might just be represented with a picture of something real in the world..
I don't want to ruin the fun, but just suggesting that I had some hesitancies to send smerits based on the reasons stated above... and I am not even sure about my suggestion, except to somehow make it tied to something in the real world rather than digital.. unless someone has some tips for me in terms of trying to judge authenticity and the lack of the use of AI generation as had been stated in the rules.
Thanks for giving us your sincere opinion about this contest. This is the very first of its kind on our local board and consequently there would be nice improvements. One of our judges actually did a scan of all the art entries and came back with a result of zero AI generated arts. This year's Christmas and New year art will be more interesting definitely.

Offline or online, an addict will find a way to get burnt out.
Some people play for hours unending in casinos, staking ridiculous amounts they cannot afford to lose and some gamble very conservatively online. It is all down to self control and capital protection.
- Jay -
Exactly Both are not much of a difference what is most important is gambling responsibly and making sure that the gambling activity or setup is not a scam one. This is because if by safe gambling you mean one that won't make you go bankrupt then you definitely still have to be cautious of hacks and scam and most importantly stake what you can afford to lose. The fact that a gambling activity or setup is either online or offline doesn't prevent an addict from making mindless bets or staking irresponsibly in an attempt to satisfy their addiction which practically speaking, for a strong addict is limitless. Wether online or offline, gambling activities should be carried out responsibly as irresponsible gambling is what makes some people view gambling as an irresponsible act.

There are many possible reasons people still gamble after multiple losses. Sometimes these people just have a feeling of hope that wins cannot come over and over again so when they loss they just hope that they still have a chance to win in the next bet. "Besides gambling is more of luck". Some may continue to replace bets over and over again because of the anger of loss while some others play multiple times even when they loss consecutively because they are addicts and just can't help but bet again. And this is an unhealthy practice as people are advised to gamble responsibly. Like I always say, most of the time Bitcoin addicts loss in most cases more often than they win.

Once upon a time I was writing a middle sized post and missclicked F5, losing the entire thing. This script helps mitigate this dangerous mistake! I must admit it you have done a great job TryNinja. Losing a post after making a very long write up is a big nightmare and can be very frustrating sometimes. One time I mistakenly reloaded a page and boom my long compiled post was lost . Since then I had to switch to using my html text editor to put together my posts before previewing and posting it here on bitcointalk. But with this script I can now do everything here . This will definitely come in handy especially for higher rank members who create very long and detailed posts. +1 for the effort

Every bitcointalker has certain things they look for in posts before they give out merits. And just as our usernames are different so are things we find merit worthy. Every user who earned merit has a choice to either spend their smerits or leave them. Some people you may feel as " stingy" with their smerits per say" are some times very busy off the forum and therefore hardly read posts and send merits. Op I think you should worry more about making quality contributions to the forum than thinking about merits. ( Just a friendly advice)
Merits are usually attracted to quality posts like magnets are to iron bars.

Keep in mind this is not good practice for your Privacy. Since you are working with Evil Google, they can always process your Spreadsheet information and analyze it. It means Google can become aware of how much you hold, the Cryptocurrencies you are interested in et cetera.
It is very comfortable to quickly open their website and start working, but it is counterproductive in regards to Privacy.
Just like Privacy G mentioned, relying so much on Google and Their tools is not a good practice. multiple threads have been created concerning privacy which is very important and getting addicted to tools or tweaks like this actually puts your privacy at risk indirectly. Forum members would prefer it more if you had provided a safer means of doing this on a spreadsheet rather than making use of google. I recently came across some posts that were educating on use of google authenticators which most people think Is safe. Nice post though op.but using a live chart like coin market cap will do besides there will be no sharing of private data with a third party.

You already have alerted him @Richbased by mentioning him via this statement; I don't know if it is necessary to alert @ legendary 1miau that the contest has ended in other for him to redeem his promise of rewarding the winners ×2 of the merits dedicated to winners of this contest?
Besides I believe he is already watching the thread. And he will definitely dish out the rewards he promised.

What triggers the zeal to invest?
Well I think the basic ones are ; - Profit or returns over time
- Security
- Flexibility
As for profit and returns , Bitcoin is a good asset in that aspect which is very obvious from it's progress overtime including bulls and halvings. As for security, as long as you keys and seeds are intact and free from hacks, your Bitcoin investments are as safe as possible. While most investments are rigid Bitcoin is not as you can decide to no longer be an investor and sell off all your coin without breaking a sweat. Except you are a whale🙂 and when did most whales quit their BTC investment?🤷

generated via imgflipI remember earlier times of the forum when some Bitcoin haters do that. They thought they can kill Bitcoin by burning coins. Burning Bitcoin wasn't very costly back then, given the prices of the time. However, it's not wise to make this move now. It's very likely that it was an erroneous transaction. Hahaha Why don't them haters make same move? ( laughs) I guess BTC is too risky for them to burn The funny thing is that burning Bitcoins even makes it more scarce and less amount in circulation makes the value higher and more stable . Besides that was Satoshi's point of the halving protocol ( to reduce inflation and promote the Bitcoin value.)

I have come across Local gamblers who are addicted to gambling and had ruined their selves by themselves til they ran bankrupt yet they borrows money to gamble at all means even While being indebted.
That's the point. Gambling as a normal act can't actually influence your relationship with your relatives or family except you make it do so. Some persons in your family may deem gambling bad but the truth is it is actually a neutral act like I always say. It is when people make it an annoying addiction that it is then perceived as a bad act. You definitely can't expect your relatives to still love and associate with you when you made them or yourself go bankrupt because of a crazy gambling addiction. This is why people are advised to gamble responsively. Come to think of it, gambling addicts are tagged bad because they lose more too often than they win. Because if they win often in the first place people would associate more with them because they would be richer. I mean which relative would be mad at someone who won $1million with a $100 gambling stake? And of course everyone will be mad at someone who lost $850 in a careless bet.

I don't think this question has a universal or general answer. And this is because, betting stakes depends on the person placing the bet. To some persons $50 could be a huge sum of money and to some other persons it could be some change. This view of how huge a stake is , is perceived differently by different individuals based on some factors like location and even the financial status of the person. If the person in question bets huge amounts of cash on a regular basis $50 may not be much of a big deal. In general most rich persons will deem it a worthy shot , and other less financially fit persons may see it as a risky deal not worth taking and therefore forfeit the bet. Besides some spin games can even have winnings with a probability of sometimes less than 15%. Anyways $50 is kinda worth a $42M win for most person but taking that risk can be difficult.

My Review My experience with the utopia app so far has been very satisfactory. A nice software that not only provides a safe way of sending messages securely but also provides an Easy to use wallet. The utopia interface is user friendly and even offers some flexible settings including an ai chat which is very responsive and easy to use.

It is usually a normal human nature for people to blame others or something else for their misfortunes. Under many occasions people are advised to gamble responsibly but most times not everyone does this some persons who are gambling addicts can even go out of their way to take quick loan from people just to gamble which is wrong even if there is a chance of winning.
Sometimes gambling addiction is driven by greed but still gambling cannot be blamed for making someone go bankrupt but rather the person. Besides people are the architect of most of their problems and not gambling.

No offense but you guys are spamming this thread And why are you guys taking ages to announce winners? It's either the judges don't know what they are doing or the contest is being hijacked.
The only reason I have not yet announced the winners is because half the judges haven't scored the arts. As 4 the Bitcoin logo any is fine for an art since we are not talking about something official to BTC here.
